EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    I have read Carol Look's protocol on stopping smoking and she discourages the use of patch once a client has begun tapping because she says the patch simply injects nictotine back into their system, negating the energy work. So I'm wondering what to do with clients who are on a patch program...

There may be elements of your own reasons for changing your behavior that can be explored and "tapped" into to strengthen...

    Long-term, EFT is a more successful solution for stopping smoking than any other method I have encountered. I used to do this with hypnotherapy and now do it purely with EFT whenever the client agrees to it. Almost every single hypnotherapist I have trained, including NLP Masters, is switching to EFT...
