Emotional Freedom Techniques
Emotional Freedom - Physical Freedom - Performance Freedom
It often works where nothing else will

EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

  • Re: 'Tearless' trauma technique when client won't guess

Thank you for those ideas, Ingrid. Now that I've thought on it some more, my gut feeling is that this may be a case of secondary gain for this client which is then creating PR and resistance to healing. I may be wrong. But it gives me some ideas about things I can possibly address next time with...

Hi, Nancy, I never learned to muscle test well, because my previous career (20+ years as a birth and postpartum doula) really honed my intuition. I can usually guess where my clients are with their intensity, with good accuracy. At the point where this client stopped and decided to work on something...

  • 'Tearless' trauma technique when client won't guess

I have a client who came to me to work through a specific, one-time but very serious trauma. When we first began, she felt too fragile to be willing to work on the incident itself, so we have tapped around it (and on other things) for several months with good success. We're now approaching the first...

  • Re: Core issue and the problem

Hi Lilla, I am 30 years old and I personally have chronical anxiety issue (beginning age 5). I do not know if finding the core issue is the pre-req. to healing anxiety disorder, but I am making a lot of progress in healing myself by doing so. I am not sure if it is an absolute requirement, but to me...

  • Re: Tearless Trauma Technique / Movie Technique

Jo, Thanks for the suggestions. I find your manual to be very helpful! One more question: How do you generally determine if a technique would "further traumatize" the person before you even begin to use any technique? With the "tell the story" or the "movie technique" I...

  • Tearless Trauma Technique / Movie Technique

This is a question regarding the 2 techniques and I want to ask those who have experience in both to share some ideas. I am reading Jo Hainsworth's EFT manual (You CAN Heal with EFT) at the moment and I see quite a different perspective (or tone) in hers from Gary's (please note I am not making...

  • Re: elbow pain came back

hi, in my opinion, the next step would be to deal with emotional issues with your friend. it sounds like the experience with the wheel chair may have been traumatic for him. you can use the movie technique with him (I have included a link with how to do it). how did he feel when that person forcefully...

  • Re: Can EFT Help with Seizures or Sexual Abuse Issues?

Hello Jane and welcome to the forum. You can read a lot about how EFT has been used for an enormous variety of conditions at the main web site www.emofree.com . If you search for "seizure" or for "abuse" you will be able to read about other people who have been helped through EFT...

Hi Beth, Thank you so much for joining us on this forum, and for following up. Great for getting that ahhha moment about remembering around dinner time when your dad would come home. There are several approaches that I see. So, about being around dinner time--was there a particular memory that stands...

  • Re: feeling while tapping - Body Knows Best

Hello Felix! Sounds like you are doing a great job sticking with this! If you replay or recall the specific event and the SUDs level increases again, then you are not done with the issue. You need to be able to recall it from all angles and not get a reaction. Usually more of the same type of tapping...
