EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

  • Re: Feeling disconnected from myself after successful EFT

Whow! Well done! I have "lived" in the reverse of what you have done. I have experienced what you are saying from aged 23 to now (57!!!) All I can say is do not investigate anything anymore - just enjoy "the space you are in!" I was surprised today to find anyone whom had suffered...

  • Re: EFT for feelings of derealization and depersonalization...

Hello Ted - This is very curious - I have suffered DP/DR since about 1975 - I am now 57 - I agree it is (as I call "a living death!") I have worked with the Maudsley hospital in drug trials to no avail. I have sought many alternative therapies even Shamanic journeying and EFT and Neurolinguistic...

  • Re: DID or MPD (multiple personality disorder)

Thank you for posting this, Sam Embracing Samo. As a person struggling to heal from DID, I felt very much the same way as you expressed, especially to the passages you quoted from the recent EFT article. In fact, I printed that article and highlighted most of the sections you shared above. I am wondering...

  • Re: Stuck emotions-PTSD-Repeated Sexual Abuse over 18 yrs.

I totally identify with all the distress, pain and suffering that you've been going through. • Re: Abreactions vs. intense emotions

Hi Deborah, great question and very cute kid! :-)) How old? There is some great information about abreaction on the DVDs, esp. Lori Lorenz's presentation on specialty series I, who works with sexually abused clients. I find, that with Gary's techniques, that he discusses and demonstrates on his...

  • Re: Abreactions vs. intense emotions

I think the difference is mainly language. Abreaction is a hypnosis term. It is usually just a very intense reaction to a memory/situation. As far as intensity on the phone I just make my voice very soothing and reasure them its OK. I ask that if possible they keep tapping and to try and take some good...

  • Abreactions vs. intense emotions

I've heard different practitioners talk about abreactions ... (from what I've read on emofree.com, an abreaction is quite rare with EFT and is a very extreme situation where the person loses control and can hurt themselves ......) What's the difference between an abreaction and an intense...
