Emotional Freedom Techniques
Emotional Freedom - Physical Freedom - Performance Freedom
It often works where nothing else will

EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

  • Re: Diagnosis of Sczophrenia in my 28 year old son has left us devastated. Anyone have experience with mental illness?

I wlll try again! this is my first try at forums. I am returning home after staying with him in the hospital. I have used eft befor to great results but he has not, possibly because we were not adressing the core issue, just some random symptoms. I am clearly in over my head but if someone is using eft...

  • Re: DID or MPD (multiple personality disorder)

Hello, all! I'm new here -- In fact I just found out about EFT a few days ago and downloaded the beginner's manual. I'm glad I didn't know you "weren't supposed" to use EFT in cases of MPD (I prefer that term to DID), because I'm a multiple and I just did my first tapping...

Thank you for posting this, Sam Embracing Samo. As a person struggling to heal from DID, I felt very much the same way as you expressed, especially to the passages you quoted from the recent EFT article. In fact, I printed that article and highlighted most of the sections you shared above. I am wondering...

  • Re: Stuck emotions-PTSD-Repeated Sexual Abuse over 18 yrs.

I totally identify with all the distress, pain and suffering that you've been going through. For my part, I was repeatedly beaten, abused, neglected, and abandonned and molested by my crazy, violent, addict mother (alcoholic/drug addict, overeater, debtor, gambler, sex addict, rageaholic, etc..)...

[quote user="Bobbie"] Dear Peace Angel, So how are you today regarding filling out those forms? As you create the space, at the table, forms in front of you ready to be filled out, begin tapping: Even though I'm scared about how to fill out these forms, I love myself. Even though just filling...

You're very welcome, Sherida, and if you wish to, you can send me an e-mail message anytime. It's truly sad to hear that most of your friend's friends have fallen away--either because of fear or a sense of self-preservation in the face of the unknown. Unfortunately, that typically happens...

Hi Sherida: Hopefully I can help answer your question a little bit. I speak as an "Integrated" former MPD patient. It's been 7 years since I've completed therapy for my abusive past, yet with EFT I've been able to heal the considerable "crumbs" left behind by my former...

  • Re: DID or MPD

Sherida, I myself have been doing research lately on both DID and EFT. EFT Master Lindsay Kenny has some good articles on EFT for "complex issues" and "serial traumas and abuses". Although these articles are not specifically about treating DID, I think they could be quite helpful...

  • Re: DID or MPD (multiple personality disorder)

Sherida, I would offer two things when dealing with DID 1) The warning you have see are correct, but I would even go a step further. If a person is not qualified to work with DID without EFT, not matter how much EFT training they have, they should not attempt it. DID is elusive and the health care field...
