When I first began working with EFT, I made some major breakthroughs by noticing when/where these little pains began to pop up -- and using them as "alternative" tapping points in addition to the EFT basic recipe. Go ahead and tap directly on them (but also keep doing the basic recipe). For me, they always (surprise-surprise) corresponded perfectly with some published acupuncture meridian point.

Now when I tap, I notice all sensations immediately -- even if something just seems like a small "itch" -- I follow it... allowing those sensations to guide me as to where I need to tap. It's also a great way to "Chase the Pain". For me, I find that when one of the tapping points is sensitive, it's because something is blocked there, and I tend to tap longer on that point -- which then clears completely. I experience that a lot when using the Karate-Chop point, the 9-Gamut and many alternative points on my head and face. I typically check the tapping points on both sides to see whether one side might be more sensitive than the other -- in which case, I always choose the spot most "sore" to tap on, regardless of which side I'm doing my general tapping on.

There are websites you can search online that post fairly detailed pictures of where the acupressure meridian points are.

I hope this helps!

Kindest regards,

Pain blockers

Does anyone have practical experience using EFT working around steroids, pain meds., and sports medicine? If so, please comment on whether you found that these substances had any effect on the effectiveness of EFT as well as any other comments you might have regarding the use of EFT on professional athletes using performance enhancing medicines. I am specifically interested in steroids and EFT, but appreciate any other imputs as well,

two ideas on pain seem too have distillled themselves into my awareness:

1. Pain is resistance.

and

2. Pain is fear trying to leave the body

I'd love to hear others thoughts on these concepts....

Journaling is great with EFT. I usually do kind of an outline. I also write SUD level, and then draw arrows down as the number decreases.

I believe that you haven't gotten to the root of your issue—yet. Usually I have found it isn't about doing EFT for an issue for several days in a row, it is about getting to the core issue—what is really under there?

I decided to refer to Louise Hay's book, You Can Heal Your Life, and Louise says that it can be related to anger and frustration at life's seeming injustices. When did the CTS begin? Do you see any correlation between when CTS started and anger and frustration in your life? Also, the wrist movement and ease. Is there something in your life that is REALLY BIG that feels like you are resisting. Maybe it is worth tapping on that.

The way that I usually work is I clear an issue with someone, and then we go on to another. If you can't get anywhere with CTS, it is OK to work on something else. It won't hurt, and like you said, there is overlapping.

Something else that just came to mind is Tapping and Bitching. If there is a bunch of stuff you are dealing with, I find this beneficial.

Gratefully yours,

I am so glad that EFT worked on helping you get rid of the pain in your back. HOORAY!!!

You could be right about chasing the pain. Before using the set-up statement, you want to assess the pain level in your wrist. It is also good to notice exactly where it is at. If you can get to the feelings underneath the pain, I find that EFT tends to work better... Also, it is really important to come up with the intensity level of the pain or emotion that you are experincing. You can decide if any of these set-up statements sound like they could be true for you, Even though:

I don't know why my left wrist hurts, I deeply and completely love and accept myself

there may be a part of me that doesn't want my wrist to get better...

there is a part of me that doesn't think that EFT can work on my wrist...

Some other thoughts that I have that may or may not be helpful to you: Wrists can represent movement and ease. So, some set-up phrases that might work for you could be, Even though:

there is a part of me that thinks that my life needs to be hard because of ________...

it is difficult for me to move my wrists, and I am getting older and that may be part of it...

Please let me know if any of this helps. You so deserve to handle all of your experiences with wisdom, with love, and with ease.

I know that you are whole and complete.
