Dear ScientistGeorge and other EFT'ians,

I am quite blown away by Ros' situation. She is lucky that her husband stuck around her inspite of all the issues.Unfortunately, I have somewhat similar issues but my husband has neither forgiven and also has applied for divorce. I believe in my heart of hearts that we can make the marriage work. And whatever I am trying to do to make it work is completely from my side, like many have commented here. Ros' case has given a new hope to me. When I saw your words for tapping I liked them. I am new to EFT in a way & see it as my last hope. I am working on various emotional & physical issues this situation has brought about

My questions are:

1. Do we use your tapping words only on the KC point?

2. What words are to be used while tapping on the rest of the points?

3. I also would like to have some guidance on how to go about surrogate tapping.

4. I have blurred vision due to the stress caused by the situation and on top of it, I have uterine fibroids which fortunately are not causing any problem to me. I didn't even know they were there till they were discovered during a off-hand check-up and one of them is nearly 10cm big. Even now I don't have any indication of their presence.

5. There was a miscarriage as well which in itself was a very painful experience for me. I just love kids. I am unable to let go of my baby's memory. Too emotional.

6. How to do tapping to forgive myself & others? I know that I need to forgive all those who have hurt me immensely. But sometimes I can, sometimes I I just cannot. It tears me apart to forgive them for all the injustice they have done to me.

I am grateful for your guidance and support.

Hi,

I was answering a surrogate tapping question today and got to thinking that some people could use some proof that it works. Then I was thinking about the power of prayer and the mass direction of energy toward one person or animal and decided to ask for your help with my 12 year old Black Lab Blue and see if we can surrogate tap him back to health.

I have been working on him but I am not getting the results I would get with someone elses animal which tells me I am somehow involved in this illness even though I tapped on all the blockages I can think of including him taking on this illness for me. I have him using a magnetic bed and collar and magnets on sacral area also. He has a chiro and acupucturist and chinese herbs are ordered but in the mean time they will take time to work and aren't even here yet and I have him on herbs also and ordered a healing halter from Dr Dodd. This occurred last year and we got him better but its different this time, more severe.

He woke with hind end weakness which progressed to paralysis within days while I dug around looking for my activater to give him an adjustment I call his chiro. It is partially weather related but Chiro says his brain and the femoral nerve and the sacral nerve are not communicating and there is spinal arthritis and hip dysplasia and a fatty tumor on his left shoulderso if you have a few minutes to send some energy his way i would appreciate it and if he improves quickly we will know its the EFT.

Strange Happening with Surrogate Tapping

I have had a most unusual thing occur while doing surrogate tapping for a friend. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar and if so, how would you explain it?

My friend does a little EFT tapping at the beginner level. I have been tapping regularly for two years and have had some excellent results. A couple of weeks ago, Sharon (not her real name) was diagnosed with skin cancer following a mole removal. Although the prognisis is excellent, she experienced a strong emotional reaction. She asked me to tap for her as a surrogate before and during her scheduled procedure to have the remaining carcinoma cells removed.

I tapped for her on a few occasions with nothing unusual happening. Then, during one session, I suddenly began speaking "as Sharon." It felt as if the words were coming directly from her but through my vocal chords, and she was communicating with me about her condition. She said, "June, I am going to tell you where it's coming from," or words to that effect. She then went on to talk about a situation from her earlier life that caused her considerable distress. She then stopped speaking and I sensed a wave of painful emotion so deep it was beyond words. At that point, I lost contact with her.

A few days later, the second time Sharon began "speaking" while I was doing surrogate tapping, she appeared to be coming from a place of great resistance. She told me to f**k off and stop meddling in her head. I did.

Then, a few days later again, I was tapping for myself, when suddenly Sharon's voice seemed to push its way in and she spoke again. This time, she explained to me where some of her resistance came from -- the cancer fear gave her a focus for her general and chronic anxiety and dealing with it provided a sense of purpose that had been missing in her life since she retired about 18 months ago.

Yesterday, I surrogate tapped during the time of the scheduled procedure. It was a normal tapping session with no sense of Sharon speaking up.

Later in the evening, we spoke on the phone and I told Sharon about the three occasions when she "spoke" to me. She became tearful when I told her about the first occasion. She agreed that she did indeed have considerable emotion around the event. She was surprised by the second occasion and said she had no conscious thoughts of wanting to tell me to f**k off, and she seemed dubious about the third occasion pertaining to focus and purpose. She admitted that she had once felt that way after her retirement but she now considered it to be largely resolved.

So my question -- was Sharon really speaking to me during these sessions? She has sometimes said she has a little psychic ability, although she would not call herself psychic. If she was not speaking to me, where did the information come from? I was not consciously aware of some of these issues -- and our telephone conversation seemed to support at least some of the information that came to me during those surrogate tapping sessions.

This whole thing seems very weird -- although not as weird as I might have considered it a couple of years back.

It's quite possible as we always had dogs in our family and they do eat things at times that we may consider to be repulsive and they probably see as quite tasty!

If we look at this purely from the mind angle, I imagine that it is extremely likely that with most people / animals that we work with there will be some associated memory in the subconscious derived from our personal experience or a belief we have which could have been passed on by our family, etc. This could mean that there are many situations we could identify with and have an adverse reaction to, in which case I would prefer to protect myself.

My belief is that linking to someone in an empathic way in order to understand the emotions in that situation is a good thing and helpful to them in the healing process. However, I don't personally see that it is helpful to actually take on their energy, even if it does resonate with something in ours. I would rather make a mental note that I have some work to do on that particular issue than feel it all in my energy. Hope that makes sense!

Each person's truth lies in their perception of things and what we believe is what our reality is. So, perhaps we could say that everyone who has taken part in this discussion is right (grin).

Protect your energy field?

Hi everyone!

A while ago I read an article on the EFT site which indicated that if you are going to tap on another persons behalf, you should first protect yourself from picking up the other persons energy patterns. My son has anger issues and I want to surrogate tap for him, (that way I don't have to make him consciously aware of things that I suspect are the root causes).

Does anyone know what I should do in order to protect my energy field before surrogate tapping?

Formulating Surrogate EFT routines

I've read the archive article about surrogate EFT and have read the ScientistGeorge posts about it.

I am asking frankly that some set up an entire routine for surrogate EFT and with details of using visualization as suggested and used by the Surrogate EFT article.

Scientist George, you are more than welcome to give a run down on what you did for your friend who had a dream that did not make sense for her but you offered her guidance for the answer to her question. Please share the set up statement and the phrases or sentences used for this routine you dedicated to your friend.

All are welcomed who offer some surrogate EFT background experience. I am very intrigued and wanting to learn more.

Surrogate EFT What is it? - Do we need permission?

What is surrogate EFT? Here is an experience of mine that might give some insight into that question.

I've been using EFT for quite a while now. Shortly after I studied the basic course I had the chance to demonstrate it to a group of four friends. All four got a clear benefit. At the end I suggested an experiment. I asked all of them to do surrogate EFT on me for my stubborn stuffy nose while I lead them through the tapping. I can't tell you what I experienced, it was so new and different and I don't really know how to explain. It was probably the strangest and most profound emotional experience of my life. After one round, I was choked up and crying! It was somewhat difficult for me as I was still "leading them." So rather than really go into the experience, I pushed it away so that I could continue. My nose did not clear up, but the emotion was VERY profound! To me a totally new emotion! The only thing that I know how to describe is that I was just a bit dizzy.

I emailed Carol Look and Rick Wilkes and asked if they had any knowledge about similar experiences when multiple people do surrogate EFT on one person? I've read 10 to 20% of the emofree site and plus searched and studied other EFT sites, but not found any reference to anything like what I experienced.

OK, so now it looks to me as though surrogate EFT is a form of love. Do we need permission to do surrogate EFT? Maybe, some people may not want it.
