EFT on TV

Hi,

I have been a student of EFT and energy psychology for several years now and I have been wanting to do a program about it on our local community television here in Dallas, Texas. I believe that it would be very valuable for those who watch it but, unfortunately I can't do it by myself. I need help from others who either have an interest in EFT or community television. When checking practioners in the area, I found only three. Then I had the idea to ask this forum about interest in this same project. Most large communities have cable access channels which are available for a small cost and the time of volunteers. Also the stations will show productions from other community studio.

If you have ever wanted to be on television or work behind the cameras, cable access could give you an opportunity. If you would like to spread the word about EFT , consider becoming involved in community TV. If you don't live in Dallas or close by, I would like to share the blessings of EFT around the globe. I was looking at grant listings and saw this one. If any of you have the clinical background necessary to show the effects of EFT on cells, this would be a great opportunity to get some research done and paid for by the feds. Here is the grant listing in case anyone can follow up on this.

-Purpose. This FOA issued by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), the National Cancer Institute, and the Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), encourages research grant applications from institutions/organizations that propose to carry out basic and/or preclinical research on CAM using cells, cell lines, tissues, cadavers, or animal model systems with an aim to understand the mechanisms of action of a CAM modality. -Mechanism of Support. Greetings all;

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to 'toot my own horn' so to speak. I offer EFT sessions in an online chat setting almost exclusively now, and have done so for a few years.

I cannot express strongly enough the energy flow that will often take place during these sessions - I often offer public sessions for free and have had up to a dozen people sharing in the experience at once. Many people will tell me about how they felt their own energy shift just by observing. The sharing of benefits is clear and strong for some. In a chat room setting their is so little tangible input to work with other than timing and fonts, that it seems ones natural intutive abilities kick in to to compensate for the lack of other communication clues such as the tone, wording etc of speech.

To me telephone sessions are somewhat like driving a Model A Ford - please feel free to contact me for additional information and to experience this yourself. Chat settings are certainly not for everyone, but for those that are comfortable in that setting it can be tuly amazing. Sometimes such abundance of loving energy is generated by the group that the 'room' seems to be overflowing w/ the good vibes.....words do not do justuce to the experience - one must experience it for themselves.

Just like the idea of offering EFT over the phone was once thought of as 'a crazy idea' but is now very much an accepted method, so too is EFT in a chat room setting truly on the leading edge. And before long EFT sessions via webcam will make chat sessions seem as archaic as the idea of doing EFT over the phone is for some people today.....

Like the guy/gal said - 'You hadda be there....'

EFT sessions via webcam ?

I'd like to hear what others think of the idea of offering live virtual EFT sessions via webcam.

I'm not sure that the technology is quite to the point of being comparable to a face to face session - but in time I think that is where the field of communications is heading and I'm very interested in getting a jump on this future trend as it applies to virtual office visits, assuming it is a viable option for applications such as EFT sessions. I've actually never used the webcam technology myself, but I have offered EFT sessions in an online chat room setting with great success.

I liken the phenomenon of 'borrowing benefits' to the sympathetic activation of a nearby tuning fork by the striking (tapping?) of the primary tuning fork. We are taught to work with this phenomenon to be used as an additional tool in the science and art of the application of EFT, but the specific phenomenon itself is, I feel nothing short of amazing and definitely worthy of additional study.

Specificity vs. generalities

I fully understand Gary's admonition of getting as specific as possible, and the reasoning behind it.

However, I'd like to propose the following: That our magnificent facilities can do so much more when we get our conscious mind out of the picture. After extensive testing I came up with three basic areas that 90% of the population is able to benefit from - fear, anger, and guilt. I ask the client to rate these in order of their emotional charge. We then do three rounds of tapping on each subject in the clients suggested order of emotional charge.

The theory here is that when we say for example 'Even though I have these fears',,, rather than 'this fear of (whatever)' our subconscious mind knows not only the fears we are consciously aware of and addressing, but also the millions of 'forgotten' and 'to small to really notice' and the multitude of variations of fear that our conscious mind can only address one at a time, while our subconscious mind has the capacity and I believe the ability to do a 'fast data retrieval' of all charges/memories in the meridian energy system that contain the key emotion of fear as part of their make up. Likewise for guilt and anger. You can't possibly recall and therefor consciously release every instance of anger, yet every instance of anger, etc is recorded in your meredian energy sysytem. Yet when we say 'even though I have this anger' I believe we quickly access the entire or the majority of our anger storehouse, to be brought up and released, even without conscious identification of each or any specific instance or perceived cause.

I explained in complete detail the theory for this approach with each client and obtained specific permission to move foreward with this experiment.

Generally, enough things will come up for the client that I wouold rarely get through three complete rounds on each of the three subjects in one session.

Any thoughts on this approach would be greatly appreciated. I hope to eventually write a formal paper to present for peer review on this theory.
