After extensive and very expensive tests I underwent a surgery in May 08 (about 3 months ago) to replace 2 disks and have a plate introduced to return the curvature to my neck.

I have had physical therapy and many expensive drugs with minor improvement to my pain. After hearing about EFT I ordered the Foundational Library DVDs so I could give this process a good try. Ive been trying it out but only achieve minor improvements to the pain in my shoulder and arm.

Any suggestions out there would be helpful since I understand that some are more difficult to eliminate than others.

thx,

This is to introuce myself as one who is living a full Qaulity Life by Managing Chronic Pain.

Hi ... my name is Gary Rocha, a retired Canadian now living in Europe. EFT was referred to me by some friends on the Internet whom I have not personally met, but whom have been very supportive of me..

I trust that this is another direction I'm being guided to take, which has been the case ever since my 'process' started in earnest shortly after my release from hospital. Being as I am new here, I have not fully read the site, which I already see holds much information! However, just from a quick scan over the site and this (taken from above): It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips. I think the technique is not totally foreign to me, as I underwent a similar technique called Body Work with my own therapy! The difference however, is the pressure for application on the meridian lelease points.

The reading I think will prove very interesting!

two ideas on pain seem too have distillled themselves into my awareness:

1. Pain is resistance.

and

2. Pain is fear trying to leave the body

I'd love to hear others thoughts on these concepts....

I am glad to hear of your success with quitting smoking using EFT!!!

You were able to get complete relief the first day after using EFT for the pain in your back. Questions that come to mind:

What happened--why did it come back? Did you say, I can't believe this or nobody will believe this or this is unbelievable

Do you remember any of your self-talk after the complete relief?

What was going on in your life when you originally got the pinched nerves in your back?

Is there a secondary benefit to you keeping the pain in your back and legs?

Is there a part of you that feels you must suffer for some reason?

The answer to these questions may hold the key to alleviate the pain that came back.

Let me know if any of this helps.

Gratefully yours,
