This is to introuce myself as one who is living a full Qaulity Life by Managing Chronic Pain.

Hi ... my name is Gary Rocha, a retired Canadian now living in Europe. EFT was referred to me by some friends on the Internet whom I have not personally met, but whom have been very supportive of me..

I trust that this is another direction I'm being guided to take, which has been the case ever since my 'process' started in earnest shortly after my release from hospital. Being as I am new here, I have not fully read the site, which I already see holds much information! However, just from a quick scan over the site and this (taken from above): It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips. I think the technique is not totally foreign to me, as I underwent a similar technique called Body Work with my own therapy! The difference however, is the pressure for application on the meridian lelease points.

The reading I think will prove very interesting!

please help with ideas to stop this physical pain

hi there everyone and thank you for takin gtime to read this, i am truely greatful for your time.

i am having stabbing pain on my right heel / achillies tendon and i have had this since monday. i have tried eft'in myslef and lots of diff aspects of why the pain is there, but with no joy, the intensity doesnt even change!

how it happened - i was stretching calf and soleus (muslce of the lower leg) on monday in my studio and something kinda twinged i suppose. then it gradually got worse.

past stuff - i am 27 just now and i first had problems with this leg with calf cramps 2-3 times from the age of 13/14 to 16, crapms were so bad i had to sit for 2hrs or more before it would ease. around 17 i was told i had achillies tendonitis which flared up occationally. at 18 i stretched the tendon and ligaments of this foot by landing on the outside of my foot when playing basketball, coming down from a rebound. i was put in an open cast. at 20 i was told i had patella femoral dysfunction, something to do with the knee cap??? i got treatment for this also (all physio).

i now know that if i suddenly explode with a sprint of speed that i get a sudden stabbing pain which makes me pull up and to others is very obvious that something went wrong. i also cannot do explosive jumping, like plyometric work, jumping sports of any kind as the pain (tendonitis) will flare up in my right heel.

i understand the deeper meaning of pain than a physical injury in the body, i am an eft level 2 , CHEK HLC level 2, CHEK Exercise Coach and a Reiki practitioner. so i know about the chakras and energy blockages to a certain level.

i have tried using setups like

all this pain in my right heel / ankle

all this pain in my right achillies tendon

ive described it as stabbing / pain / ache / shooting

ive used the colour of it

ive thought about how this pain slows me down

how the pain stops me walkin properly, therefore stoping me taking those steps i need to

ive used that its on my right leg, im right handed therefore it is regarding a male, either myself or my dad ( as this is what my teachings have taught me)

ive used that its to do with security

im really stuck and frustrated with this

any ideas? lol

two ideas on pain seem too have distillled themselves into my awareness:

1. Pain is resistance.

and

2. Pain is fear trying to leave the body

I'd love to hear others thoughts on these concepts....

Wow, you have really had a lot of success with EFT in just a few short months! However, it must be frustrating and painful for you not to have been able to eliminate your migraines completely. I see that you have been able to get the pain down to a manageable one or two. So, you have had some success in dealing with them. No one has come up with a migraine pill that you can take just once and the pain goes away completely. So, I think what you have done so far is really something.

Ros, I believe the reason that the migraines keeps coming back is because you haven't got to the root cause. If I am reading your post correctly, it looks to me that you have only been tapping on the symptoms. You said that the migraines started when you partner first moved on. Have you tapped on the feelings about your partner moving on? If you haven't, I believe that this is what you need to do.

First, thing would be to get in touch with the strongest feelings that you have buried deep in your head. Some possibilities:

grief/sadness

anger/rage

betrayal

disappointment

crushed/heartbroken

Here is a list of feeling words if you need a larger list.

I would start with the strongest feeling and see if you can bring the SUD level down to zero, and work with all of the emotions until you bring them down to a zero.

If this doesn't work completely, then the next thing I would do is take a stroll down memory lane and see what event(s) from your past that your partner's moving on triggered, and deal with that event (and any other related events). The movie technique is a powerful tool that you can use on those past events.

Another approach, would be to ask the pain what it has been trying to tell you. I good time to ask would be after you have been tapping for at least a few rounds.

So, Ros, I think you just haven't gone deep enough—yet.

Please let me know how this goes. If you have any questions, just ask.

Gratefully yours,

JoAnn
