Missing out a point or so is OK.

So, let's say I was a woman with acne whose acne is due to PCOS. PCOS in my experience is connected to many incidents of rejection. Let's say one of these incidents is about a school bullying event that I call "When Sally snatched my dinner money". I ask myself on a scale of 10-0, what number would I feel if I were to watch a film of this event? Say it was 7. So I tap:

Setup

"Even though I have this feeling about 'When Sally snatched my dinner money', I deeply love and accept myself"

Reminder

"When Sally snatched my dinner money"

I tap this a couple of times of the Basic Recipe, then I re-evaluate. What number do I feel now? Say it has gone down to a 6. So I tap the above Setup and Reminder again. Then I re-evaluate, and re-tap, and so on until the event is a complete zero. That is when I stop tapping on this event.

The next time I sit down to tap, I do another event, and so on.

For a booster homework in-between sessions, I tap a few times a day on my Karate Chop "Even though I have this acne, I deeply love and accept myself".

I hope this helps :-)

Re: Surrogate Tapping Tailgaiters

Hi Betty,

Welcome to the EFT forums :-)

I just love this tapping :-D I do it here in South Africa, where the drivers are particularly prone to rage, though I must admit I use it more for me rather than for them. I'll try your blinking lights method next time!

Re: Repitition Question

Hi Katie,

The best way to tap is to use as many tapping points as needed to completely collapse an issue. Simply repeating the tapping in general terms is helpful when the person can't figure out what to tap on, and for beginners. However, it is not the most efficient way.

On the other hand, if you are working on a challenge where the solution will take time, it is helpful to tap regularly throughout the day, as a kind of booster to the more specific tapping. In that case, tapping a simple statement on the KC should suffice.

What are you looking to achieve with EFT? Let us know, and you will get many tapping ideas from other tappers on here :-)

Severe nutritional allergies eliminated with EFT

BREAKING
NEWS: My 25 months old Adam is officially allergy-free!!!

His allergist
tested him again on the skin of his back and there are no allergies
detectable. A year ago, he had severe allergies to: milk, eggs,
peanuts, and tree nuts. Six months ago, there was a barely detectable milk allergy left and some egg sensitivity. Today - nothing! Thanks EFT! :)

These days, he eats all of the above without any reaction (I used to
walk around with an emergency shot called EpiPen Jr. in my purse to
help prevent possible anaphylactic shock in case he ate something
"funny"). He's crazy about parmesan cheese and loves to eat it with a
spoon...

His allergist borrowed a copy of the fantastic
EFT/Tapping documentary film titled "Try It On Everything" (recently
renamed "The Tapping Solution") from me today. Fun! :)

Best,

Re: my favorite tool

Hi Jim,Yes, Tappy is wonderful. I am glad you find him so helpful. Tappy Bear is definitely in business, and their sales page is up. When you sold the bear: Did it go through your affiliate link?I am surprised that you didn't receive an answer to your request, as Till is usually exceptionally good about this. He is in Ecuador right now, teaching EFT to the school system over there, and is being handed from TV show to TV show, giving many presentations and classes. So if this was recently, this is why you can’t reach him right now. I am sure he'll get back to you.One thing with these programs is, that one often has to sell for a certain amount, often $50.- or $100.- before the commission is being paid out. I know that Tappy Bear had this in the past. They changed it, as far as I know, but that might be another reason.Just talk to Till when he is back. He is very easy to talk to and I am sure you'll get this figured out.BBHIngrid

sounds great!

Yes, hands on is the way to go. For them, EFT is truly a tool. They don't ask the way adults do. I just call it magic points, and for the little ones, I mimic "the monkey" (under the arm and collar bone),....

I am also a registered yoga teacher, and I agree completely, that some physical relaxation and breathing is a great start!

Good luck! Please keep us posted!!!

And i'm asking here - is it possible to feel those emotions with same intensity while im conscious with some 'brain training' or whatever ?

Re: Book sales

Hi Samstar,

Congratulations on this wonderful acomplishment! How exciting!

Some thoughts: Instead of "selling my book" maybe you want to think about "helping people in a way only I and my book can".

The book and it's price tag is just the carrier, your thoughts, your passion, the importance you gave it is what counts.

Connect with that and give away as much content as you'd like; when people see what an expert you are in your field, and how true passion and honesty are the driving motor behind it, they will get curious and want to know more..

Good Luck!

great discussion! Thanks for sharing all your insights!

I would like to add that many points on the emotional scale are actually not emotional but beliefs (Powerlessness, unworthyness,...)

I believe that emotions, beliefs and physical issues are just different vibrations of the same energy block, and it often makes sense to include all those aspects into the tapping sequence.

Therefore I emphazise with my clients the importants of being emotionally and cognitively, and physically, if possibly, specific to speed up the process:

Even though I am frustrated that I feel so powerless, and I feel this knot in my stomach

Even though it scares me that I am so full of fear

Even though I am sad that I feel so discouraged

Even though I am overwhelmed that I feel so unworthy...

By adding more specific feelings and physical sensations into the setup, we turbo charge it, make it very personal and easy to relate to, which often speeds up the healing process. It also allows my clients to feel understood and accepted with the complexity of their feelings and their current place in life.

Love

Ingrid
