Welcome to the world of EFT!!! You have already had some success--yay!

What were you tapping on that brought the carpel tunnel syndrome on again? What were the emotions? Or was it the repetitive hand movements that brought it on? If it is repetitive hand movements, then there is something else that you might want to try: touching the point and inhaling and exhaling deeply...

Gratefully yours,

JoAnn

Re: caparal tunnel syndrome (CTS)

Hello Myra,

It sounds like you feel pretty confident that you have your father issues handled. You may.

I understand more about your confusion, and that it is about having so many issues. After tapping on your confusion about having so many issues and getting the SUD level down to a zero, go within and ask "what is the most important issue to work with at this time?" Just choose one and be specific about your feelings.

Myra, here is another idea: after tapping you might want to close your eyes and ask the pain in your hands what emotion is stored in your hands (anger, fear, guilt or who knows whatever emotion). You might be surprised what answer you get. Then you could work on that.

I don't know that you can do it wrong. However, if you uncover with the emotions that are under the pain and do EFT to clear the emotions, you will speed up the process immensely.

Gratefully yours,

As you may know by now, with EFT there is no one way to do it. I usually try to get to the bottom of the issue, and your feelings toward your father, and also the past traumatic events with your father would be excellent to obliterate.

If the confusion is what seems to be right in your face now, I would tap on the confusion first, and as Lindsay Kinney teaches, you can bundle together your confusion and resistance. Make sure that you rate the intensity of your confusion/resistance (my guess is that it is really high). You might want to notice if your confusion/resistance is located in some part of your body, and take note of that, too. Also, note your SUD level of the pain in your hands when your start.

For example, some set-up phrases could be Even though

there may be a part of me that doesn't want to deal with my father issues, and I deeply and completely love and accept myself

I feel really confused as where to start with my issues with my father...

I feel an incredible amount of resistance to deal with the issues that involve my father...

Your reminder phrase could be, "this confusion" for the first round, and "this confusion and resistance" for the second round.

The third round and (maybe more), you could start listing all that you are feeling resistance to and confused about in this matter. For example:

inner eyebrow: I don't know what to do

outside eye: I feel so confused

under eye: I feel lots of resistance to getting into this

under nose: I don't know where to start

under mouth: I am feeling overwhelmed about this

You would continue on, saying a phrases about your resistance and confusion until you get it all out. Then close your eyes, and assess how you feel.

what is the intensity level of of your resistance and confusion?

is it still located in the same place? If the pain or sensation has moved, then you are probably dealing with another issue

are you getting any insights?

what is the SUD level of your hands?

As you clear your confusion and resistance, listen for insights as what to work on next.

Mayra, if you get in over your head, or it seems overwhelming to you, consider finding an EFT practitioner that you trust. There are many qualified people that can help... Many, like myself, do most of their work over the phone.

Continued success, dear one... You certainly deserve it.

Please keep me posted.

Gratefully yours,

Yah for your success!!! Besides continuing to clear the issues that you believe are related to your husband, it would be good to clear issues with your father. I believe that you husband’s behavior have been a trigger to what you experienced with your father. Some set-up phrases could be Even though:· I feel angry that my father made me wrong for almost everything, and I deeply and completely love and accept myself· I feel pissed off that my father always blamed me…· I am angry that my father always blamed me and all I wanted was his love and approval…Myra, I think that your results will be even better if you tap into you feelings. After you clear the anger, I would imagine that there could be sadness—if so, you’ll want to clear that, too.I am in favor of cussing, and being loud. I hope that the words above will be even a little bit helpful.

Journaling is great with EFT. I usually do kind of an outline. I also write SUD level, and then draw arrows down as the number decreases.

I believe that you haven't gotten to the root of your issue—yet. Usually I have found it isn't about doing EFT for an issue for several days in a row, it is about getting to the core issue—what is really under there?

I decided to refer to Louise Hay's book, You Can Heal Your Life, and Louise says that it can be related to anger and frustration at life's seeming injustices. When did the CTS begin? Do you see any correlation between when CTS started and anger and frustration in your life? Also, the wrist movement and ease. Is there something in your life that is REALLY BIG that feels like you are resisting. Maybe it is worth tapping on that.

The way that I usually work is I clear an issue with someone, and then we go on to another. If you can't get anywhere with CTS, it is OK to work on something else. It won't hurt, and like you said, there is overlapping.

Something else that just came to mind is Tapping and Bitching. If there is a bunch of stuff you are dealing with, I find this beneficial.

Gratefully yours,
