EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Book sales

    Hi

I think this is the right forum to post this on... I have written and self published my first book.. it took me several years to research and write and now it is finally finished.. I have been invited to give a few talks at local places and I have followed up on those leads..the talks were a success and I have been invited to give more..however, the problem is that I haven't sold many books. This book is the first of 3 and without a successful first book the other 2 wont be published so I need to recoup my outlay and of course I would also like lots of people to read it because I think it is a worthwhile read..

One of the problems is that I don't want to appear pushy - I want people to 'want' to buy the book and not force them into it.. but I think that leaves my approach too passive.. has anyone successfully used EFT to sell something or clear blocks to selling? And if so - how can I identify the blocks..?

    Thanks

    Hi Samstar,

Just today, an interview with EFT founder Gary Craig and two great Pracitioners, Lynne Shaner and Sejual Shah was released on using EFT in corporate environments.  In it, there's quite a bit of conversation - including examples from all three -about using EFT to clear blocks to selling.  The audio is at: http://bit.ly/17eky4

I also have worked with lots of clients on sales and marketing issues.  I would invite you to explore the "I don't want to be pushy" belief.  Who does this remind you of?  Is there a time of your life that the feeling of being afraid of forcing someone into it reminds you of?

    Warmly,

    Paul

IMHO this is an excuse for "I don't want to ask in case I'm rejected"

In my experience, this can be due to:

    • Feeling not good enough due to a number of childhood events
    • Feeling unworthy compared to others who are doing better
    • Earlier rejections in life
    • Times when you nearly succeeded in what you wanted to achieve but then it all fizzled out

An experienced practitioner can help you identify these blocks and get you started.  And you can most probably claim the expense against tax, since it is a business expense.

    Happy tapping :-)

Thanks guys - I appreciate the insights.. I will listen to that audio when I have some quiet time - interesting that I get the newsletters but I had missed the link (sometimes when we are blocked the solutions are invisible to us aren't they!)

Re - I don't want to be pushy - I can't think of any specific examples of anyone who was pushy.. I just feel that I am not a natural salesperson - but then again that is only a 'belief' that can be tapped away so at least I have uncovered a few new things to tap for... I will consider working with an experienced practitioner as I am sure 2 minds are better than one..

    Hi Samstar,

Congratulations on this wonderful acomplishment! How exciting!

Some thoughts: Instead of "selling my book" maybe you want to think about "helping people in a way only I and my book can".

The book and it's price tag is  just the carrier, your thoughts, your passion, the importance you gave it is what counts.

Connect with that and give away as much content as you'd like; when people see what an expert you are in your field, and how true passion and honesty are the driving motor behind it, they will get curious and want to know more..

    Good Luck!
