Hello,
I was just curious about something, if EFT works so well why isn't everyone living the life of their dreams? I get you have to let go of your limiting beliefs and then install new beliefs to attract what you want. So I'm assuming the catch is you have to bring up memories and emotions that are uncomfortable and work your way through them (which isn't fun). Another thing is I'm guessing that it's time consuming and requires a lot of your attention, therefore making your abundance take longer to aquire. I haven't really been able to get EFT to work for me, so I wouldn't know exactley what the cause is.
Anyway look forward to your responses
Christa

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
I can share a few thoughts: - Not everyone wants or dreams about being rich. There has been an over-promotion of money and abundance strategies, but I believe this is more for the benefit of their originators rather than the average person. - EFT should be able to help with limiting beliefs and negative experiences and shame and guilts etc... around money. That alone could make somebody being comfortable receiving money, or asking for more money for their services and so on. This does not necessarily turn a person into a money hunter. Nor does it necessarily implant the desire to get rich.
- There need to be strategies for having money (if starting from 0). Robbing a bank is a strategy for example, albeit not a very good one? Coming up with a great business plan, or selling more or whatever... all have to be supported by strategies. And this is knowledge/skill that needs to be learned. I'd love to hear some different opinions. Especially from people with personal experience.

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Hi Christa, If it wasn't for EFT, I would have been bankrupt by now. With the help of EFT, I paid back some $100000 in the last few years and my life now has leisure time in it, whereas it did not for a long time - I was just constantly chasing my tail. I consider that a huge success. Re past hurts, maybe you can have a few sessions with a practitioner to help you gently through them. But of course only if you want to. You don't need to dredge up the past with EFT :-)

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Christa, Not everybody wants to be rich or succesful. I know, I know, who would not want to be? Many don't want to live the life of their dreams. Many people don't know that they can live the life of their dreams. Just take a look now at people on welfare. Many are now 2nd or 3rd generation. All around them people see what is possible. Alas, many just think, what is possible is what others are showing them i.e. their parents. Many others don't want to change because, they worry how friends and family will react. They will hate me etc. I'll not be liked. Leaving a comfort zone can be very uncomfortable. Yet, the rewards are massive.
As far as your guesses go, for you, you are spot on. Even though this EFT stuff is time consuming and requires alot of my attention, I deeply and completley love, fogive and accept myself. Even though, I can't get this EFT to work for me, I deeply and completley love, fogive and accept myself. Even though change can't happen an instance, I deeply and completley love, fogive and accept myself. EFT can be quick and easy. You don't have to tap on everything in one session. That really is hard and tiring. Who or what are you comparing youself to or with. From my experience, just work with what you are feeling or believing right now. Change will and does happen. You don't need to know the root cause to experience a massive shift

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Hi, Christa, As has been said, not everyone wants to be rich enough to do something about it. I play the harp, and I'm always amazed when people will come up and say 'I wish I played the harp' and then wander off. I don't think that they really want to play, any more than many people want to be rich. If you want something, you'll take action towards it. This is where EFT is really helpful. If you're stopped in taking action, then EFT can get rid of the blocks that are stopping action. So create a list of 'wants', you can call them goals, and then actions that you'll take in support of those goals. NOW you're ready for EFT if you're not 100% in favor of taking those actions. Of course, there may be limiting beliefs that need to be removed, such as 'I'll have to work really, really hard to be rich." Acquiring wealth does take effort, but it doesn't have to take 'really, really hard work' - unless you say it does! So create your goals, and list your limiting beliefs, and then see if you get some results with EFT. And let us know! Warmly, Pamela

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Hello,
Thanks to everyone who commented, I appreciate it.
I guess it's just hard to believe someone would not take up the opportunity to be rich (not just with money) or successful. I mean you look at reality television, turn on the news or just listen to the radio, people will do anything for money, fame or atttention. Whether it means eating sheep eyeballs (fear factor), killing someone, sleeping with someone in an important position or whatever. It's just hard to comprehend that someone wouldn't abuse or not even abuse, just use EFT to manifest something as quickly as possible. So I thought, well the catch is you have to go within first and "delete" the old beliefs to accomplish what you want. As well as the fact that most people have a lot of negative beliefs surronding what they want so it's more time consuming. I don't know actions speak louder than words, maybe deep down most of us are afraid of success.
Thanks again,
Christa

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Hi Christa, Actually, EFT has nothing to do with why everyone isn't rich. You see it's more of a philosophical answer. Even if everyone in the entire world did EFT to try to become rich, they couldn't. Not because EFT doesn't work, not even because some people might not be able to make EFT work for them. Not because they couldn't remember the specific events necessary to "clear" themselves to become rich. Think of it this way. Imagine if everyone in the entire world made $100,000/year. Would everyone be rich? No, everyone would just make $100K/year. No one would be rich, middle class or poor. We would all be EQUAL (at least in salary), but not be rich. And if everyone in the world made $100K/year, how much do you think a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk or a dozen eggs would cost? Perhaps a loaf of bread would be $112? I'm not an economist, but throughout history, there have always been rich, middle and poor classes in every economy. The percentages of each class vary from nation to nation and time to time.
A vibrant, large middle class = first world, this actually makes the NATION rich even though there is only a relatively small percentage of people who are actually in the upper class.
A small middle and rich class with a large poor class ususally equals third world. I really don't see that EFT has relationship to why everyone is not rich, but even if it did, everyone doesn't know about EFT. Hope this helps. :) Terry

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
"The Law of Attraction has been written about for decades, and many popular metaphysical teachers rave about its power. The theory states that whatever you focus on, you will automatically attract in to your life; there are no exceptions. " Carol Look
http://www.emofree.com/articles/abundance-series.htm
This isn't the article, I was searching for, but it is a start. Dr. Look often talks about being grateful, which is a fundamental
part of the "Law of Attraction". Being thankful everyday for all your gifts, the Universe Gifts (who ever you choose to be
grateful to), all your blessings, naturally raises your vibrations to attract more blessings.
I first heard about Gary Craig and EFT from a group called Miracle Happen connected to Effortless Prosperity,
(Based on A Course In Miracles) someone was sharing a "miracle"! What a gift!
One of the lessons, was to practice asking and then be open to recieve and to start with little, concrete wishes
like a parking space, to build your belief system. Another lesson was to be grateful by acknowledging and
thanking Angels, the Universe, who ever is part of your higher power. Third lesson, to be detached or unattached
to outcome. Being specific is very helpful. As is believing and patience.
Changing your request is confusing to this "higher energy power" , I will use the parking space as an example -
Request- "Parking space, two spaces from destination, thank you!" - mind talk "I really should get more exercise!"
along with some guilt feelings about the doughnut you just ate. So, what happens, there is a space open, but opps
the guy in front of you slips in. :~)
I can look back and see where dreams were on their way, and then I confused the issue (request) by some
change in thought and they didn't happen. Many times we miss them, because we aren't paying attention, so, it is important
to stay focused. Scattered focusing brings scattered diluted results most likely.
I do not have this down to a science, but writing this out has given me some new understanding. Thanks for
asking!
Blessings,
Sylvia

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
I think one reason that everyone isn't rich is that they start by wanting to be rich, and on the way, they suddenly see, that they have different values that they'd like to work on FIRST, like relationships, personal growth, etc. It's not that they give up on their goal to be rich, but they begin to see that money is nice when it's a tool for your other goals. So if your goal was originally to have money, and what you'd do with the money in your first choice is to take an elephant tour through the jungle, then you may tap for that but half way through you suddenly say: hey why would I want that? It's not so civilized and kind of bumpy, I think I'll prefer a cruise round the world. And then half way through tapping for that you say: But why do I want that? Cos the ad looked good? But I bet it's not as amazing as people say, you have to come to meals on time and sweat in fear when the bad weather strikes and wait all day for a certain view while it's cloudy etc and go on shore to buy clogs but the other passengers get all the ones wiht a cute picture on etc. and then you might start to think about others of your desires and one by one the imagined aspects or the romaticized aspects of them collapses and you're left with your real goal, which might include money. But I don't believe that the goal anymore is to "get rich". It just seems smallish compared to the amazing things you can do with your life! Because just as the imagined aspects of fancy things dissolves as you tap and apply real life criteria to them, so do the buried aspects of what you really could have and do grow for you, and you become enraptured by the real adventures that are sitting in your home, in your life, in your current financial situation and possibilities, right now.

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Hey Christa, Thanks for your question. There's been lots of good conversation thus far. A similar question is, "Why isn't everyone fit?" Last time I was measured, my fitness assessment was in the range of an elite athlete thanks to EFT, healthy eating and regular workouts (average of 25 min per day). In other words, it's a daily practice with several elements. For me, EFT makes the practice fun and it feels good to do. Today, it's normal for my nervous system to want to work out. It's a similar situation with money. Abundance is a daily practice of certain thoughts, feelings and behaviors - I call this your Money Matrix. Most people have thoughts, feelings and behaviors that block success. It takes a certain degree of skill and ongoing practice of EFT to remove these blocks and to begin to practice abundance on a daily basis. Not everyone is willing to a) build their own skill level to this level or seek out assistance from someone who has these skills and b) practice abundance thoughts, feelings and behaviors over time. Thanks to energy psychology tools like EFT, my income rose by a factor of 2.5 times in under 2 years - that certainly got my attention! Notice it was an ongoing process. And, I choose to get help. One of the best choices I ever made. Hope this helps. Paul

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Hi All,
First and foremost let's clarify 'RICH'! What is rich?
RICH is all in the mind - is it not? Since we all have a different perception to the meaning of RICH, it is hard for us to measure for another. One can have all the $$$$ iin the world and still not consider themselves as 'RICH'.
Until we have the true 'desire' to be rich can we really become 'RICH'?
Just a 'quick' thought!
Showers of love and peace to all,
Claire

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Claire, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. One thing I've noticed that happens around the subject of being rich is that it's a charged subject for most people. These intense emotions get in the way of having a clear and centered relationship to creating what we want. I agree that everyone gets to define "rich" for her/himself. At same time, I think it's important to define from a clear intention of knowing what you want instead of reacting from a place of strong emotions. That's where EFT comes in - clear the negative charge and it gets a whole lot easier to create your own rich life. Blessings, Paul

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Hi, Claire, I think that you're right about what you said 'until we have the true desire to become rich can we really become rich?' And the desire isn't strong because the word is ambiguous.
It does boil down to clarity. That's why I often use the word 'successful' instead of 'rich'. Success can mean very different things to different people - success can mean being able to work part time and stay home with the kids, or running a business empire, or making a living from your art. The success components include passion for what you do, a comfortable standard of living (however you define that - it could be $20K or $20 milliion), self-esteem, and for me, spirituality. This also resolves the issue brought up earlier, that if everyone were rich, then no one would be, since money would be devalued. Everyone CAN be successful. That being said, I would be sure to use a word in any tapping that you did that resonates powerfully with you. If that word is 'rich', great. If you have negative connotations around the word 'rich' (such as rich=greedy) I'd tap on that, too. Just make sure that you remove the negatives, and that your positives are truly positive for you! Warmly, Pamela

Re: Why isn't everyone rich?
Most people are programmed to be poor from the day they are born.
Our reality is created by our beliefs, and so many limiting beliefs can be successfully released with EFT, and other methods.
However, we can never be consciously aware of all the beliefs we subconsciously hold regarding money in order to release them.
This is where hypnosis comes in. You do not need to know exactly what beliefs you have about money, only that you want all negative beliefs about money to be erased, and replaced with positive beliefs.
Hypnosis can rewrite your limiting beliefs at a subconscious level, and it is your subconscious beliefs that are reflected in your outer reality. Everything you are experiencing today is a reflection of your true, inner, subconscious beliefs.
You may think you know what you believe about money, and everything else, but your conscious beliefs are not an accurate reflection of your true beliefs.
So, why isn't everyone rich?
Poverty programming.
Not everyone wants to be rich.
Not everyone believes they can, or deserve to be rich.
