EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Lucid Dreams.

    I have an interesting question.

Theoretically EFT could be used to induce lucid dreams? Since Lucid Dreaming is very much an Emotional/Conscious/Mental process, What i am wondering is how would someone use EFT for Lucid Dreaming?

The key points needed to lucid dream are being able to remember your dreams in detail and to be able to realise you are dreaming inside a dream.

Anyway has anyone here had experience using EFT this way? How did it work out for you?

Anyone that has an idea how EFT could be implemented to lucid dreaming please give me an example i am very interested to know and hopefully i can get a little bit of knowledge from it.

    Cheers.

    Re: Lucid Dreams.

    Hello G3DE,

Some people train themselves to wake up just after their dreams so that they can write their dreams down in detail as soon as they have happened, pen and paper by your bedside...

Through this method, it has been found that dreams were often a way for the unconscious mind to vent and process unfinished or unexpressed emotions from the previous day (Human Givens approach - Joe Griffin and Ivan Tyrrell).  There are other types of dreams which seem to bring a different dimension and symbolism and might be the amalgam of a longer time span.

Depending on the information you are getting, you can use that info to tap, as this may be a direct line to your subconscious.

The best time to program interaction or "I am alert to my dreams" mode seems to be last thing at night.  You could tap the points as you tell yourself to remember your dreams, in detail, and also possibly on a specific subject.

One way to explore your inner world is via a mixture of light hypnosis and EFT.  Betty Moore Hafter and Jade Barbee have presented their method here:

and you can find more information and examples on their websites.

    Hiopoe this helps,

    Fabienne

    Re: Lucid Dreams.

I taught myself to be a lucid dreamer long before EFT even existed.  I simply made a conscious intention (although I didn't know that was what I was doing at the time) to have this ability, and it came.  I was a pretty small child at the time.  For me, this ability only seems to come when I need it; for instance, when I am in a nightmare or something like that.  But that serves me, as I am able to defuse potentially unpleasant situations as soon as they happen.

However, I can see how -- if merely intending doesn't create this for you -- that you could tap while stating the intention to dream lucidly, or that you could know when you are dreaming and be able to remember your dreams in detail.  Maybe you could use a choices statement.  Maybe you could just tap while saying that you intend to develop the ability to dream lucidly.

Intention is everything. Find a way to state a positive affirmation about lucid dreaming, tap on that, then pay very particular attention to the "what ifs" and the "buts" that come up as tail enders. When you can focus your EFT on removing the blocks, your intention power will take you wherever you want. Sometimes tail enders, as Gary calls them, come up as feelings like vacancy, blankness or inexplicable fear and terror. Just tap on these just as you would with a limiting belief.

Try completing the sentence "If I were to allow lucid dreaming to occur, I should or I will have to ____________"

What expectations of yourself might change? What might you feel you have to let go of or lose in order to gain what you want?

There's lots to explore and I would also recommend you try some of the music found at VisionaryMusic.com for aiding your dreaming process.

    Re: Lucid Dreams.

I have found that tapping a couple of pairs of Switchwords through EFT to be very effective and helpful in getting into a state of lucid dreaming:

GO-CRYSTAL - to inspire lucid dreaming, gain control of characters and situations in the dreams

CRYSTAL-WAIT - to make dreams more vivid, symbolic and memorable.

Just try tapping those through EFT before bedtime each night for a few weeks and watch what happens.  I have seen lots of success with this.

Switchwords are one-word affirmations that represent a condition, response or desired experience.  I love to combine Switchwords with EFT.  It is a very powerful combination.

There is a list of Universal Switchwords and you can read more about Switchwords at:

    Can't be real? Can it?

I have a silly question (please humor me)... Why do you wish to lucid dream? What goal will that achieve for you?

PS - I guess that makes two questions.

So you'd like to improve your psychic antenna :-) cool!

I did some psychic training in a workshop, where we did EFT before we did the exercises, to get ourselves out of the way.  Maybe you can do some tapping on a particular outcome, such as astral travelling and see what happens. I'd be interested in how you get on.

     Hello,

Faith will get you do anything: become more psychic, influence your envionment, improve your health and even make miracles. Faith is what increases my psychic abilities and they are growing rapidly. I can see and influence events more and more easily.

Like Suzanne said you can use EFT to get your ego (fear, guilt, shame, limiting beliefs) out of the way. Do that regularily and you will become a very powerful psychic.

To induce lucid dream do a prayer before falling asleep and getting up every day for two weeks and you should get your first lucid dream quite easily.

You can write your own prayer or assertion any way you like.
I strongly believe in the Force, the Source of All Things or God (not the one from religions) so I would say something

I am gratefull that God gave the possibility to experience lucid dreams. I open my mind to this possibility and accept this new skill. Now when I fall asleep I am fully aware that I am dreaming and when I wake up in the morning I remember my dreams clearly....

You can be as lucky if you want... It just takes a strong desire, a bit of practice and a good chuck of faith.

    Cheers!
