EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

It is exaclty because you already eat what sounds like the perfect diet that I think you have absorption issues and recommended re-establishing a healthy gut flora (and SCD is the way to do that). You make your own yoghurt as they perscribe (fermented 24 hour so no lactose, a disacharide) and you must cut out all starches and grains, even the unprocessed ones. You do not need to have Crohns or celiac to do this diet, my problems were not nearly so severe. It is simply a very healthy way to eat and when your intestines are funcitoning properly, you can go back to eating whole grains.

SCD is not so fussy about arteficial sweetners but I would stay right away from those.

Sorry but your diet protocol sounds pretty scary. These guys are trying to interfere with processes they have no business mucking around in. The body's biochemesry is just not that straight foward. And 500 calories a day is just too little. You cannot get the nutrients your body needs on 500 cal. And your body does not function properly unless is it getting plenty of all of the nutrients it needs.

Good luck with your efforts, I will not post again on this topic.

I don't know what qualifications you have to diagnose people with malabsorption syndrome. Particularly people you haven't met  in person.  However, if my gut flora were in trouble, I think that the raw dairy and raw, fermented foods I already eat would have already done the trick.  I already make my own yogurt from raw milk I get from  my own grassfed Jersey cow.

And I think that if my problem was digestive, then my weight would not fluctuate when I move from day to night shift -- which mine does.

From your response to my comments about the HCG protocol, it is seems to me that you didn't really examine it in any detail.  You are entitled to your opinion, of course, but the protocol has 50+ years of safe, effective use behind it.

Hi Sunny, Actually both terms are used "Wilson's Temperature Syndrome" and "Wilson's Thyroid Syndrome" however more commonly used is "Wilson's Temperature Syndrome" because it points not merely to the Thyroid alone. There are often other glands of the endocrine system (especially the hypothalamus and adrenal glands) involved and one of the classic symptoms is the low grade temperatures in combination with other symptoms. A moot point really, but it bears importance when discussing with a doctor. Âsawe’hihta Mahikan

Wilson's Temperature Syndrome is the best description for this problem as you point out, Mahikan.  I thought I had a low thyroid problem but both the medical doctor and the Naturopath concluded it was not a thyroid problem.  The medical doctor offered nothing but the Naturopath said it was adrenal fatigue from years of stess, and constant yo-yo dieting.  I am now on herbal support and I am starting to get results with slight increases in body temperature after a couple of weeks.  I am taking dried kelp, sea salt, magnesium, and B vitamins especially B5 and B6, 1000mg of Vitamin C, and now that the sun is no longer strong, Vitamin D3 as well as large doses of EPA, an Omega 3 fatty acid.  Mushrooms and an ounce of Brazil nuts provide selenium, and pecans provide some zinc.  I avoid all soy products, and eat only whole foods.  The Naturopath says I should see much improvement in two months, as it took years to get to this stage, and there are no "one minute wonders."  I also use EFT to help with the sluggish metabolism and this "remaining low temperature syndrome".  As I said, I see some improvement in temperature, and the fatigue and brain fog is starting to lift.

Hi Poodlelover, I'm glad you are getting some help with the diet and supplements you are taking. I'm a native medicine specialist (Cree lineage) and I love this wholism approach, incorporating better diet, natural remedies and using eft. Speaking of which, I think most people I see are suffering from chronic adrenal problems which will drastically affect the thyroid and not be seen in tsh, t3 or t4 tests, so I think once I'm not such an eft newbie anymore, (I've just ordered the dvd's & can't wait to learn more) I will be incorporating that a ton more. Because of the adrenal function, it can affect the thyroid in many different ways as I've said, including weight gain even when the person is taking in very few calories, and adrenals become easily exhausted by our mental processes.. a star for incorporating eft don't ya think? I think that weight gain is such a difficult issue because it is not always about diet, not even always about emotions (though I'd say that is most common), but sometimes it is simply glandular function that doctors either can not diagnose or refuse to believe their tests don't cover it all. So my heart goes out to all who struggle with weight and have few results, but hang in there, the answer is out there somewhere and it seems these amazing forums have a ton of excellent information and wonderful support.. I to continue my journey with weight and my heart rests in gladness that I've found eft. Mahikan
