Hello Fellow 'Feild'/Matrix Friends!

There hase been a lot of discussion and interest about the Matrix on the EFT forum lately. So, I thought I’d start a new thread. I'd like to invite others to join in on discussions about this relatively new, very effective EFT Matrix Reimprinting Technique, developed by EFT Master Karl Dawson.

I’d like to focus on enhancements and variations to the technique that others have discovered and are using (I share 2 really cool enhancements below). I also welcome questions about the technique i.e. getting stuck, something not working, general questions and any success stories! We’d love to hear from you here on the forum, no matter what your experience or level of knowledge with the Matrix is!

Some folks may find the EFT Matrix approach a bit bizarre. My background includes NLP, hypnosis and Reiki, so I didn’t have too much trouble embracing the idea when I heard heard of it. However, the very solid work of trauma expert Dr. Robert Scaer, Cell Biologist Dr. Bruce Lipton and Gregg Braden, author of the Devine Matrix has helped me understand and integrate the concepts Karl D. teaches. I am a sort of scientist too, with a background in Electrical Engineering Technology - so, at first, stuff like this was a BIG switch for me. I have also learned quite a bit about EFT Matrix work from EFT’ers Rick Wilkes and Cathy Vartuli at Thriving Now.

One big reason I don’t find the Matrix so strange or bizarre, is that I did the biggest chunk of my personal development/healing work in the late 90’s to early 2000’s with a very talented and 'plugged in' Reiki Master in Toronto, ON Canada (Carole Tolley). She was more of a life/energy coach and she used some pretty bizarre coaching techniques that where channeled. She never said they were channeled, but I knew this was very different stuff and had a pretty strong knowing when she was bringing in extra help/information during our sessions. The guidance and coaching was unmistakable, because it was so clean, wise and did not seem to be tainted by Carole’s own personal/human opinion. Carole by the way, is a super lady and now a close friend! :^)

In our sessions, Carole lay out on a couch and I sat in a comfy chair looking out a window, yes, a bit bizarre right there! Most of the time, both of us were in a light state of hypnosis. She prompted me to connect with younger versions of me (inner children), characters and other things to represent what Karl now calls our ECHO’s. So I really was doing Matrix work but not in quite the same way. All of the healing work I did with Carole back then is really helpful now the Matrix work I a do today, because it is so similar. My hypnotherapy and NLP training is a huge bonus too!

Also, Carol helped me really get in touch with my own inner guidance, intuition or my Body Yes/Body No. Ultimately, she actually coached me to not need her any more (My husband and I moved from Toronto 3.5 years ago). Now to me, that is the sign of a great teacher/coach! - Someone who allows the student to become independant, self empowered, and then be able to teach this to others!

EFT Matrix Reimprinting – Variations and Enhancements  

Here are some powerful techniques I learned from Carole that I now use it in my Matrix work:

Stuck, Uncommunicative or Un-cooperative ECHO’s

If an ECHO is stuck i.e. does not want to be tapped on, is not communicating, withdraws or is maybe even curled up or shut down, then imagine shining a pink light on the ECHO i.e. like a big theatre flood light. In energetic terms, pink generally represents unconditional love, honour, deep respect, acceptance etc. -- it is pure heart energy!

The ECHO can do a few different things here;

1) It may immediately spurt out/share the reframe or wisdom that is needed to heal or shift that part/ECHO. Then we can continue with the rest of the Matrix process.

2) It may simply open up energetically and emotionally, so we can continue with the process to discover the reframes/wisdom.

3) The ECHO may get really upset (down right vial sometimes, really), stay stuck/fozen or withdraw even more because of having the pink light/love showered on it. In this case, it is usually because the ECHO doesn’t feel loveable, worthy, deserving or is holding on to any number of other negative emotions and/or limiting beliefs.

If this happens, gently ask questions in order to discover any important information on possible unprocessed emotions or wrong beliefs (Karl's term). When some helpful information surfaces, tap - either by tapping directly on the ECHO or if it does not want to be tapped on, try some group or surrogate tapping (Cathy V. from Thriving Now taught me this). Pretty cool stuff!

The Celestial Vacuum Cleaner

Here’s another neat technique. In one Matrix session, we ended up with the ECHO having a cloud of dark energy around it, like dirty dust. This was right after discovering the Truth/Wisdom. The client knew/felt something important/big had shifted however, before creating the new image or integrating that lost part back into the client, I suggested that we take out an imaginary vacuum cleaner (Carole called it the Celestial Vacuum Cleaner) and we sucked up all of the negative energy or dirty energetic dust around the ECHO.

Then we noticed that the vacuum bag churned and chugged away while it recycled the old crappy emotions/beliefs. When it had finished moving and bumping about, we took the contents of the bag over to some newly cleared ground and spread it all around. Suddenly, this grew into a huge field of golden wheat with tiny wild flowers scattered in it (must have been organic!... wink) I asked her what it represented, and she said nourishment, food for her body, mind and soul. Wow… how powerful is our subconscious mind, to create such an amazing metaphor? Like turning lead into gold, very profound. :^)

Then after that, she was able to imagine the ECHO again... clean, smiling and glowing with no dark energy around her at all. We then proceeded with the normal steps of the Matrix Technique to create a new image/safe place, reintegrate the ECHO and have her heart express this new desirable 'feel good' image back into the Matrix or Field. Really, awesome stuff!

So, I’d say, after getting some Matrix experience under our belt, that we not hesitate adding in enhancements or variations. However, also, to make a note to cover all of the basic steps that Karl lays out in his process.

Although, I think as one gains experience, we can likley go more by feeling than process. We'll know when to move fast, to slow down or even skip some parts. I've seen Karl do some pretty fast Matrix sessions and he still got awesome results. Like Gary Craig says... persistence, experience and skill. :^)

I love all these creative variations.  Can I share one with you.  Last week an echo needed to remove her rage which was yucky slimy green with a cellulite removing machine.  Imagination is a wonderful thing and I appreciate your innovations.   The more we use imagination the easier EFT becomes, we can do so much healing allowing our subconcious to do what we need to do without retraumatising ourselves all over again.

I LOVE IT!

Yes, most times, the client's subconscious knows what is off energetically and what needs shifting or removing i.e. dark dusty sticky energy or yucky slimy green stuff. PLUS... they know exactly how to remove it and with what. If they get stuck though, it is good to have a back up suggestions like celestial vacuums and cellulite removing machines. :^)

Keep this thread in mind for other interesting variations and creative ideas you recall or come across in your Matrix and inner child adventures.

I wanted to make a comment about a variation I used just this morning.

I had a bad nightmare 2 nights ago. I dreamed that I won a race and went around showing everybody that I won. But no matter what I did, I couldn't convince anybody that I had won. They didn't like me and so they voted and declared the # 2 guy the winner instead. And I was just heartbroken and woke up sobbing.

The basic message/belief was: "I can't win, even when I win. I try so hard to convince others that I am good, that I am capable, but they don't like me and completely ignore me. I, and all my efforts, are invisible - I am nothing".

 I thought about that dream a lot and this morning I thought: why not treat it as an ECHO? So, I tried and it worked perfectly. Within a few seconds after I started I got deeply into the emotion of it, but I caught myself immediately and dissociated and went back to working with the ECHO. I slowly worked through the dream sequence and we tapped on all the various aspects as they came up. And about 25 min. later I was able to project the new beautiful image back into the Matrix and I got the very clear message that the next thing to work on is "shame" - being ashamed of who I am, so I know where to go next.

 I just LOVE the results I get from EFT in general and Matrix Reimprinting in general.

Wow... what a great personal account of using the EFT Matrix Reimprinting Technique. Thank you so much for sharing it here on the forum, as it will certainly benefit many others.

Our subconscious is such a miracle, I love how it communicates with us in the best way it can, in order to get our attention about what needs to be dealt with/tapped on next. Good for you for listening to your inner guidance!

I have the “green set” of DVD’s which is this one: http://www.e-f-t.co.uk/dvdsetsfeaturingmatrixreimprinting.html EFT for the Prevention and Treatment of Serious Disease. It features only Matrix Reimprinting and is very good but a bit too much info. in some areas... all good though. I bought my DVD’s on eBay and they were new (see info below).

eBay Seller for Matrix DVD’s

Here is an eBay seller in the U.K. who has Karl’s products/DVD's. It is brand new and the service was very fast. I get the feeling he has an affiliate relationship with Karl that’s why they are new sets and only one set is auctioned off at a time.

I bought my set from this seller in an auction and paid 41 GBP which is a 19 P savings over buying direct from Karl or paying this sellers ‘Buy Now’ price of 60 P which is the same as Karl’s price.

A hint for winning an eBay auction is to wait until 20 seconds before the end of the action and put in your max bid. In the auction I won the current bid was 35 P. I waited until 15 seconds to the end of the auction and put in 45 P and got the set for 41P. Looks like the 35P person had a standing max bid of 40 P and I beat it by 1 P because I put my bid in so close to the end that they could not up theirs… tricky and a bit stress enducing, but effective :^) I have won tons on eBay using this method.

I'm the DVD producer for Karl's 2 sets (as well as an AAMET Trainer.)

If you are interested in JUST the Matrix ReImprinting, then the Green set (EFT for Serious Disease - which is the website too) is best because it teaches MRI (Matrix ReImprinting) and shows lots of cases and has some of Karl's nutrition suggestions in there too.

The Blue one - MetaMedicine and EFT - teaches MRI (in fact the set above uses one DVD from this set) but also teaches in depth diagnosis through MetaMedicine.  All the tapping in that set is MRI as well and it's kinda cool that 2 people are tapping on the demo at the same time and some great shifts occur - but it's a LOT of MetaMedicine.

Thank you so much everyone for this, and Karen for the invaluable links.

Now I know why Reiki practitioners like Matrix Reimprinting.  Basically, in Reiki, we can heal the energy of a past event, person, or situation.  This in a nutshell is what MR is all about.  I like that.  I must say the name irks and put me off for a long time but that's the scientist in me   :-)

Anyway, I'm working on my thyroid, and by connecting to a heart-broken me at 15 years old, I have finally hit a big root of the problem.  Previously, I had not considered it important, as I really had no "real right" to be heart-broken (I was seeing two amours at the same time), and had actually gone down to zero with the events.  but when I tapped on my 15-year-old self and let her speak, a whole new set of negative emotions came hurtling out. 

I go for another blood test in a months' time so we'll see...

It's always so interesting how varied the ECHO reacts.  Even using Intuition and EFT Investigative Skills, there is always something interesting.  Even the CLIENT is many times surprised what the ECHO wants to do about the past situation.  I just had a client whose step-father locked her out of the house when she was 15 because she was making something on the stove and needed milk, so went next door and borrowed some.  He was mad that she left the stove on.

 When the now her went in and asked what the "then" her wanted instead - it was simply "Tell him to get out"  The client had initially felt fear at what the young self would want.... so she was surprised how simple it was. So the now her went and told him to get out - and he did!  No fighting, no arguing, nothing - he just left and the thenself was very happy... and after finishing what she was making, she just wanted for her 2 selves to happily and peacefully paint. (She's an artist)  How cool is that!

You never know - sometimes it's a big hairy monster in the way and sometimes it's just "leave"....

Tapping on Twin 15 Year Old EHCO's

Hi Suzanne, Wow... sounds like you are having some really powerful experiences with the EFT Matrix Reimprinting technique. Don't know what it is about 15, but it seems like a pretty common age for parts of our self to get split off and frozen in some experience, limiting belief and/or negative emotions. Maybe it has something to do with transitioning into a young adulthood, hormones raging, learning to become more self empowered and separate from our parents etc? :^)

You hit on a real key point of the Matrix work... i.e. tapping on the younger part of us (i.e. they are the client) and letting the ECHO express its self, so we can find out what *it* feels and thinks without our conscious mind, ‘left brain’ interference. It is surprise when we discover buried or hidden issues/emotions from the ECHO's. However, it’s better to make these discoveries and to shift the energy, then to let this heavy stuff stew in our energy system (Field) and create unwanted symptoms and ill effects.

At first, I had some trouble with the term/concept of Matrix Reimprinting. What helped me was reading/learning more about the Field or Matrix by authors such as Gregg Braden, Lynne McTaggart, Bruce Lipton and others who’s info. is based on scientific research.

Matrix Tapping: 15 Year Old Twins

In a recent a phone session, two ECHO's appeared (both 15 years old). They were created by the same circumstances or energy, although not attached to a specific event. One ECHO was strong, rebellious and overly aggressive and the other was weak, wimpy and totally disempowered. They were dressed differently and they did not like each other at all! We even had to separate them with plexiglass! Imagine the negative emotional, energetic and ultimately physical affects of having two opposing parts of our self who hate each other this much? Talk about feeling torn apart!!!

Any way, each ECHO was dealt with separately i.e. tapping on negative emotions and limiting beliefs, getting the reframes/wisdom etc. Then after both felt/looked different, the ECHO’s decided to integrate into each other. Holding hands, smiling and stepping forward they melded into one being.

Upon integration, they became a single figure represented by Glenda the Good Witch from the Wizard of OZ. Complete with sparkly light and  twinkles all around her. A neat representation, because Glenda is very powerful, but in a soft and gentle way. She does not need to wimp out or come on too strong. She is gentle, kind and self empowered. A very positive and appropriate symbol for balanced famine energy. Pretty cool!

We surrounded Glenda with a pink light (that’s what colour came to the client) and Glenda did not rebel or put up any fight - likley meaning that there was a real energetic shift (i.e. not rejecting pink light which in energy circles represents unconditional love).

Then, the client took this energy/light and the image of Glenda and made it big and bright - and then brought it in through the top of the head and filled every cell with the light, positive feelings and the image of Glenda. Finally, concentrating the pink light in the heart and then radiated this light and the image of Glenda back out into the Field or Matrix - like projecting it on a huge movie screen. (This part is really important to help complete the process i.e. sending a new image/desire back out to the Matrix to replace the old one. This is how we manifest a new physical reality!)

When the client checked back to the vision of the twins they were still there but they were holding hands and smiling. I have learned not to think too much about whether the old image disappears or not or what it means. I feel that the energetic and emotional shifts are the key to this type of EFT work.

It’s great that this thread/discussion is growing and producing such valuable conversation. A place we can chat about this leading edge EFT topic/technique.

I wanted to share another experiment: Tapping on parent in ECHO image

I am sitting here at work and something happened and I immediately feared that I had made a mistake - I have always been very scared of making mistakes. So, I started tapping on that, and immediately I got a flash of being 10 years old and my dad scolding me for crossing the road without looking. I tapped on the ECHO  - I have discovered that it seems to work better when I focus on just tapping on the ECHO and not include myself, because physically tapping on myself distracts me from the ECHO - and we got her over her fear of making mistakes and the situation itself. But as I sat there with her snuggled up next to me - I thought: "why not tap on my dad and then have him talk to the 10 year old about why he yelled at her?". So I did. He was completely willing and he of course had scolded the 10 year old me because he got scared that something could have happened to her! It also triggered some deeper fear in him because I did have a big traumatic accident when I was 3 and he feels very guilty about that (more to tap on later, on him). So, he then went over and talked to the 10-year old and in no time she was back in dad's arms, feeling all safe and happy and warm.

Including my dad in that picture added a whole other dimension to it for me and resolved the issue at an even deeper level. The implications for this are enormous. For me personally because I have not talked to my dad in over 20 years - he refuses to talk to me - and feeling his love just about blew my mind. And also because I was severely abused by my mom during my early childhood - and now I will see where I can bring tapping on my mom into the picture.

I'm sure this is not a new discoverey in EFT - but it is a new discovery for me and I am eager to try this out. This feels like it could bring an even deeper layer of healing to those who have been abused in one way or another. Wow, I feel like this is really important.

 You are right this is very important and how wonderful you discovered it by yourself, I am very impressed:).  I learned the concept from an article on emofree.

I don't like protocols and my client base tend not to either, so we are very flexible using concepts instead, and fitting in what is needed, so sometimes we imagine tapping on the parent (even a horse once) or I get the client to become the parent and see the child and that is very powerful.  It allows them to feel the sadness or fear their parent feel and is a powerful medium to heal the relationship through compassion engendered.  I love it when they can imagine themselves being hugged or for the first time feeling loved.  I try not push that part, it happens naturally when enough healing is accomplished.  My first reaction to being told to imagine things being different etc was to reject it, so I prefer to keep tapping until it happens without suggestion, which is safer I feel.  And so far has not failed. Not only do my clients heal, wonderful changes happen in their relationships (and mine when I do this)

The way I see it when their is a relationship problem, almost a wall of some sort, if one person removes the prop holding that wall up, the wall has to collapse.  I even used this with a biting horse and his owner.  It worked a dream.  However sometimes we have to tap for resistance to helping the person who was angry with us.  We have to be willing to do it as much as they need to be willing to let us.

I just loved reading about your deeply healing experience and it resonates with me as I had a similar one myself today which literally feels life changing:)
