EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Which points to tap?

    Hi fellow tappers: )

I have recently purchased the complete eft-course - great stuff - really recommendable - gives you motivation and faith, that the system really works and not only for you, when you see all those beautiful transformations!

My question is regarding the tapping-points.I have noticed, that Gary and Adrienne in many of the videos do not use the points on the fingers - they stop the round after"under the arm" and go directly to the 9-gamut. And they do it exclusively several videos in a row. My question is, if these fingerpoints simply are not that important? They resolved a whole lot of issues without them. It could be nice to be able to do more rounds in a shorteramount of time.

    Thanks!

    Kind regards Esben, Denmark

     Hi Esben,

Great to hear you are so enthusiastic about EFT, and that it is working well for you :-)

Many people today stop at the underarm point - this is commonly referred to as the shortcut version. They even skip the 9 Gamut altogether, but may bring it back if they find an issue hard to budge. So yes, you can try out the shortcut version, and get more rounds done in a shorter amount of time. If you find an issue is taking longer to budge (which is quite rare, in my experience), you may want to experiment and bring back the 9 Gamut, or the finger points.

Another thing you can do is clasp your wrist instead of tapping on each finger, which I think is supposed to stimulate all the finger points at the same time.

Hope this helps you; please feel free to ask more questions :-)

    Hi again

Thank you for your answer! Maybe i is because I do not have enlish as my first language, but I dont quite undestand, what you mean by clasping the wrist?

    Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards Esben

     Hi Esben,

I've been trying to find a Youtube video you can watch that demonstrates this better:

This practitioner, Robert Smith, uses an extremely shortened version of EFT, which you may like to play around with. His other videos are really great too. I have really learned a lot by watching him work with others.

    Re: Which points to tap?

For some reason, I feel like I should also include the Under Nipple tapping point and just leave off the hand points.  Since the UN point is associated with the liver, I would like to include it.  Any reason to include it or not include it?

Also, does tapping on top of the head help in engaging the brain when the 9-gamut is not done?

     Thank you,

    Joy
