EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

What about just winning all the money you need in the lottery?

What about just winning all the money you need in the lottery?

    Hi everyone,

I've been working with EFT for a few months and stumbled on it while working with 'The Secret.'  One of the things that is mentioned is to set your goals and see/feel them as if you have already obtained it.  Well, I chose to win 100 million in the lottery.  For me this is an amazing amount of money and I can do all of the wonderful things that I want to do right off of the bat (i.e. improve my health, offer my Massage Therapy/Reiki/Acupressure servcies for free to people who truly need them without the worry if they can afford it, help make my family and friends, who always believed in me, lives a little easier, even people I haven't even met yet, etc.).

Now I realize some people view abundance differently and it just might mean increasing your clients if you are a business owner or just pay off a loan.  But with that being said am I starting out too big?  I've been working on all of my money issues and feel good about my progress.  I even bought two of the same numbered lottery tickets in the same drawing and won $14.  It is definitely a step in the right direction, but how do I build off of that?  I am almost done with the first set of dvds and I find them fascinating.  Gary and Adrienne are awesome, as well as the brave people who go through all those things on stage and in front of a camera!!!  However, if they are working on emotional/physical feelings there is an immediate change, which I've also felt using this technique, but what about money?  Other than the fact that money will show up at some point (minutes, hours, days, months, or even years) is there any other noticable change?

Thank you for reading this and I hope you're having a wonderful day!!!!

Why wait to win the lottery? Start where your at now. Do groups for free or donation to spread the word. Fine tune your message & learn more about EFT in the process. What about shelters for men or women, they can all use help to boost their self esteem. Winning the lottery may be a help or hinderance. More people say they wish they hadn't won than those that are glad they did. How would that money serve you (and/or others)?

Re: What about just winning all the money you need in the lottery?

I was struck by your lottery topic as I too am interested in using the law of attraction to win the lottery. After seeing "The Secret" I focused intensely for awhile on winning, and my abundance-related thoughts centered exclusively around winning. Needless to say when I didn't win immediately as the movie suggests is possible, it took all the wind out of my sails and kept me in the same vibrational pattern I was in.

So I got off the lottery thing for awhile (two years actually!) because I felt like my beliefs about it were too much to tackle at the time. In other words, I had enough vibrational stuff to change that would provide much more immediate results so I focused on that. I've read every book by Esther and Jerry Hicks, as well as "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay, and working through the concepts in there has produced a fundamental change in my vibrational relativity.

A point that "Abraham" makes in the books by the Hicks' is that the lottery is certainly possible to win; there's no reason why you can't. Anything that you can imagine or desire is possible. The reason we're not all winning it is that we grew up hearing "you have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than winning the lottery!" or some other statements about how impossible it is for it to happen. I personally grew up hearing the lottery referenced as the solution to all my mom's problems, but completely unattainable so the problems would never resolve. Most of us have a LOT of emotional baggage around the possibility of winning, our worthiness to win, what would happen to our lives if we won, etc.

What I will be doing, and what I would suggest you do if you want to win, is make a list of every belief you can think of relating to winning the lottery and tap on it. Imagine yourself buying the ticket and tap on whatever comes up for that. Imagine going to the lotto office to collect your winnings and tap on whatever comes up for that. Imagine what your life will be like once you get the money and tap on all the fears and whatever. From a LoA standpoint, there is no reason why you can't have that experience if you want it. When you line up with the outcome, it must come. Remember that it is A path, not THE path. Allow abundance to come in whatever way is the path of least resistance and let the Universe decide.

Another thing to remember is that people win the lottery ALL the time. In my state someone wins every week, usually. So it's really not that uncommon. We just don't believe it can happen so we never bump into the people who've won; we're not aligned with that in our experience so it doesn't show up in it. I'll be working on this in the future, and let me know if it helps you!

     Marianna,

Thank you very much for your reply.  I have been volunteering my time to a spa who offers free massage to women with cancer and this summer have signed up to provide massage to children and their families who are hospitalized long-term.  My current health status ( I have had Lyme Disease since 2006) limits what I can do outside of my full-time job, but I'm starting out slow.  My health certainly is more important, but I have to work fulll-time in order to pay my bills.  I'm looking for the abundance to take care of myself first so that I can be more effective volunteering as my primary job and work very part-time (I love my clients at my current job).  I'm not interested in hoarding the money to buy just toys, they are fun, but they are not the most important.  Since using EFT I have worked on my money issues, my health, and a bunch of other things.

I realize money is just a tool and if I want to volunteer my time and achieve all of my other goals they are going to require more than I currently have in my life.  After thinking about your reply I reailize people do not necessarily thrive with a lot money and I want to work on that is well and control it and not the other way around.  I figured if I ask for enough to reach all of my financial goals then I can continue my goals for the rest of my life and update them as they come.  Once that is in place then I can focus on health, volunteering, continuing my professional education, etc.  I realize this may seem like a control thing, but I believe if you want something done do it yourself.  And I'm limited right now by what I can do to improve professionally and physically because I need this job to pay my bills.

I do not like money being a reason for not being able to drive somewhere to volunteer, see my boyfriend who is 200+ miles away, my long commute to and from home, or any of the other things that money would help me be closer to the places that are important to me.

So if there is anything you see in the reply or any other advice I would really appreciate it.

     I hope you're having a great day!!!!!

I think it doesn't even matter what and why you or anyone else would want to win the lottery.  I believe there is enough of us that play for enough of us who want to win to win.  Of course we are aware that winning will not heal any poverty mindset, hence why it is claimed that 90% of the multi-million dollar lottery winners are back at the same financial position as they were before or worse.  I get most likely that was bound to happen no matter how they would have acquired the money, especially if it was a situation where the winning was perceived as a lucky break as opposed to a deliberately created opportunity.

In considering winning the lottery money to propel me to financial wealth, I wonder if this is limiting in some way.  Am I restricting myself by focusing on one way to generate this amount of money in what may appear to be a short amount of time with little to no effort?  Now I ponder on how I've been intentional about working with specific companies, certain positions, at particular locations, by certain dates - And managed to attract it, pretty how I wanted it to occur.  I think maybe it's because it involved hard work in exchange for money.  It still boils down to how I am about it, whatever meaning I have in place.

Regardless, I've been working on tapping out my issues about winning the lottery and however I relate to money management.  I am so thankful to see this topic because it has actually inspired me to be consistent.  My best friend and I have been working on winning the jackpot for over a year now, which has been a really neat exercise on manifestation.  We have experienced high motivational times and periods of discouragement.  Lately, it seems to be waning.  I'm reminded that it would be really cool and exciting not only to have access to millions of dollars, but to win a game with such high odds.  What can it hurt to be in a space to win and win BIG?

I feel we all make some valuable contributions, but who wouldn't like to enjoy taking generosity to other levels?   Why not want to use lottery money to help facilitate that?  I don't think by doing that eliminates all other possibilities for receiving and giving money and in other ways too.  Shoot, I would love to give to myself more as well, whether or not I win the lottery.

It appears to me to be some simple method to it all, it's just about really allowing.  We can make some things so difficult. :)  As mentioned before, people win like ALL THE TIME, so it's available to us as well.  Personally, I don't believe the lottery has favorites.  I appreciate iguanamia5 sharing the idea of making a list of every belief relating to winning the lottery and having the money and tap on it.  I've also worked on tapping in some affirmations and looked at how I feel about them, so I'll resume that as well.

Congrats on winning the $14, Alex!  I would be encouraged by that, remembering how yI felt when it happened and recreate it in my mind.  That's what I did with that $3 I won from a ticket.  Hey, I like that exercise too...We could really have fun with this! :P

    Hi Alex:

Here is your answer as to why not try to win the Lottery.

    iguanamia5:
Needless to say when I didn't win immediately as the movie suggests is possible, it took all the wind out of my sails and kept me in the same vibrational pattern I was in.

When you aim to jump 5 hurtles all in one jump, falling on your face will usually be the result and just slow you down or cause you to give up.   If you attempt something small and succeed, you will be encouraged.  You can then aim bigger.  Gary Craig said in the Palace Of Possibilities to make your goal reasonable but somewhat exciting.  When I aimed to increase my money flow, I aimed to increase it two and one half times.  That worked for me.

We all have HUGE untapped potential! The limits to EFT are in our limited imaginations! Tap on it!

Re: What about just winning all the money you need in the lottery?

Thank you Klarity and George for your insights!  As I am writing this I want to say I won $2 in the lottery the other day with a friend.  I realize it is to some not enough, but maybe the universe is asking me to be more specific.  This is the lottery for the state I live in and the $14 winner was in the state where my boyfriend lives, so maybe I need to be more specific on which one I want to win.  And that is why I am taking iguanamia's advice and going through everything that comes up from buying the ticket on.  I realize starting small and building is a good way to do things to stay motivated, but I truly believe that I can see $100 million dollars.  I stilll have some issues in the back of my mind to work out, but feel very confident.  I am the type of person who goes for what they want and that is it.  So this approach may seem extreme, but I've never been the type to peruse in a mall for hours and look around.  I know what store, what item, and how much and go right to it, that's it.  I've done that with my professional career, love life, health, etc.  I am not going to say it was all roses and cotton candy moments instantly, but you can learn valuable lessons from every situation.  What I percieved as an 'end of the world' moment, in time was the best thing looking back on it.  It either made me look at the 'big picture' with more appreciation or value the people who I have in my life right now.  I also have the gift of stubborness, which can have the same effect, but I'm working on using EFT to relieve those barriers that created the more advanced stubborness, a little is ok.

I've always had negative thoughts around money and even though it was trying to come to me, using EFT has taught me that I had good and bad coming at me in that regard.  I don't even play the lottery that much, but thought why not give it a shot.  But I even use losing the lottery as a gauge to see if I'm on track because if I am disappointed then I still have some more 'need' to uncover.  According to everything I've read need/desperation is a BIG NO-NO.  Over the last few years I just respond with an AWESOME and I wish the people who won nothing but happiness in all of its forms.  My heart truly means that, but my brain was like,"Dummy are you kidding me that should have been you, blah blah blah." I would then shove the latter comment aside and move on.  Now EFT has shown up and I don't think its any coincidence.  And if money is just a tool then why can't I have it to do great things?  I don't want it all for myself.  I want to share it.  I don't mean just give it away to friends/family recklessly.  I want to make an agreement of volunteering at the place of their choice, something they are passionate about, so if they want to persue that as a job then boom their education/training is covered.  I want to add passion for something they love, which I've seen a great lack of in people who hate what they do.  I love my job and life and thank God every day for that, even meeting people on this forum, it all has a purpose.

Tony Robbins had a great line in his Personal Power seminar,"You don't want little pieces of paper with dead presidents on it.  You want money for what you think it will bring you."  And that is exactly what I am looking for and working on organizing my thoughts to bring it in my life and beyond.  I recently was told that using such things as EFT are a part of a life's journey and I couldn't agree more.  It is a great time to be alive!!!!

Thank you all and I hope you are having a wonderful day!!!!!

    EFT is Amazing:

In your previous post, you wrote:  "but I have to work fulll-time in order to pay my bills."  Try tapping on that.  Open yourself for other miracles from the universe that could provide the freedom, opportunity and financial abundance you seek.  Windfalls come from many sources, not just the lottery.  Try tapping on, "ET it just HAS to come from the lottery, I'm open to other good things happening too."  Or, "ET I can't imagine where else that much money could possibly come from, I'm allowing the Universe to choose the source."  Then, start looking around your life for opportunities and serendipities, and follow your inspiration.

    Good luck!

Re: What about just winning all the money you need in the lottery?

    Hi EFT is Amazing

At the risk of repeating other posts - there is a massive contradiction here "I have to work full time in order to pay my bills" and "I can see $100 million".  As suggested by Scientist George break it down.  What you have stated you need money for does not cost $100 million - another incongruence.  How about $1-5 million?  Then use some of that to do what you need and some to invest (even in this climate there is money to be made).  That dream would fill the gap quicker than this massive leap towards $100 million.  Also once you've won the $1-5 million and you are vibrating like crazy then you could just keep winning again and again!

Hope this is of help.  I would love to hear that you have done it.

    Hi everyone,

I have to say that I agree with Scientist George.  Winning $100 million is beyond the writing on most people's walls.  Yes, you could tap on it and see  if you could shift that writing.  But it's a big stretch and not likely to lead to much besides disappointment.  I too hold dear Gary's suggestion of finding a goal that is both exciting and doable.  This is how I tripled my income in twenty months.  I could have spent the same time tapping on my limiting beliefs about winning $100 million, but would I have seen results?  Honestly, I think the approach I took was a better fit for my worldview.

    Take care,

Re: What about just winning all the money you need in the lottery?

Surely we are missing the point. It is not about seeking wealth and winning the lottery (thereby confirming that we have need and emphasizing need to the universe) but directing our attention towards gratitude. I think this is why the baby steps approach works: it is not that we are asking for a bit at a time, but that we are ceasing to focus on our need a bit at a time. We are creating the state of allowance slowly, not creating the state of wanting/needing more slowly (or quickly). We are viewing this from the wrong perspective. Why ask to win the lottery? All that is being said is"Look at everything I have not got". Actually, we have breath that goes in and out of us. If that becomes less abundant, what will you ask for then? Money or breath? So look at it the other way around. As you take your eye off the 'big goal,' money, and see the real big gift, gratitude and abundance are yours already. Money in itself is not real. It is an energy exchange. The primary energy exchange, from our perspective, is breath,. The rest is playtime in this temporary state we exist in. Money. Good. No Money. Good. Enjoy.

Re: What about just winning all the money you need in the lottery?

Quick and easy without much effort - what about learning and evolving to gain more potential? A good parent would never just give a child everything they wish for - they would teach them how to earn it and cause them to put out some effort to get what they desire.

I am entertained by viewing posts on this site expecting EFT to drop a gift, like winning the lottery, into our laps, and on the spiritual site I am involved with, expecting the spirits to drop a gift into their lap... This, to me, is that greedy ego of ours, wanting everything without putting forth any effort...

"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day - teach him to fish and he will eat for a lifetime." I am very grateful for having the "gift" of EFT revealed to me... That is my lottery winning! I now have all of the tools to create abundance and I will create it... I will get additional abundance during this journey. I will gain quality friends, gain experience, and I will evolve - strengthen my abilities - by overcoming obsticals. Abundance is not all about money.

Most people who win the lottery, or who inherit big money, squander it and end up broke again. If they do not have wisdom and if they have not learned to respect money and to use it wisely, they will likely loose it. What good is abundance (lots of money) if it is only temporary? Wisdom is part of abundance, so is respect, gratitude, acceptance, and self-confidence etc. Build the foundation first so that when the money comes, you are ready for it. Earn the money and you will gain self-respect for a job well done - there is no greater gift than self-respect.

Another thought occurs to me.  Feedback is VERY important to the learning process.  Feedback comes fastest when we hit some and miss some.  If we never try anything new we never learn.  If we constantly over shoot, then we also often get "No" as the only answer to our endeavors.  So in order to master the manifesting process, we need to attempt new things that stretch us, but not too far so that we simply fall on our face time after time.

I've learned a lot by using EFT in creative ways over the past two years or so.  Some things did not seem to work and many other things shocked me by how well they worked.  This feedback was VERY useful.

Re: What about just winning all the money you need in the lottery?

It seems to depend on what meaning one may have about money and about winning money.

To view it as it is, money is a result.  It is energy.

    The lottery is a game.

If someone chooses the play the lottery to win money, so be it.  People win often and some use it for what we would generally consider good causes and a few actually invest winnings well.  I believe we have the freedom to apply whatever we feel would be effective in achieving what is desired.  In its truest form, it's a learning opportunity.

The only time stretching then failing is a problem is when one is stressed about it and feels defeated.  My understanding is that it all works out because Truth is the only reality.  We do amazing things!  Everything involves risk.  Based on our perception and tolerance, we do determine whether something is worth the effort.
