I have found that Self Healing, to include EFT, brings about insights beyond just what EFT provides in the way of healing and that is a better understanding of ALL of me and my connection to life and living. Nutritional needs for instance. The need to get outside more and smile. The need to stretch and move the body. The need to or the benefit of becoming more aware and alive. So in addition to the help with EFT on all levels, incorporating a better living format is also a very positive approach to take. Our bodies need good pure water to function at their best, certain nutrients that we can gather from the foods we eat or in some cases we may need to supplement in order to gather what we need. Love and friendships are also part of the pie for balance as is the fresh air, sunshine and movement.

have you ruled out Auto Accidents or Physical issues like Herniated Discs etc??....I take a medical history 1st, if you want to get hold of me I will run thru some with you over the phone.

It sounds like your Psoas Muscle from the sitting in a small car for long time.If it is, I give you a specific stretch to do as you tap on the specific muscles.the more specific we can get the better,if its an incident we tap on that also.pain can be complicated if its a mix of physical and emotional then both need to be addressed.

Re: Questions about chronic lower back pain

Here are a couple of resources from EFT Masters that I've found really useful in finding approaches to tapping on pain:

Carol Look 10 questions to ask http://www.emofree.com/articles2/ask-right-questions.htm

Rue Hass Be Guided by Your Body (see the questions in the second part - it's a long article and all good stuff, but if you are short of time, you could just read part two) http://www.emofree.com/Articles2/intuition-rue.htm

Happy tapping.

I'm writing in hopes of gathering suggestions or advice about my new EFT practice. I am very new to the practice...about a week now. I see how these techniques could be helpful in my work as a therapist in the future, but my most immediate interest is in dealing with the pain and stiffness I've been experiencing in my lower back since I drove across the country in my (far too small) car about four months ago. Back problems, especially lower back problems are not new to me though, so I think there may be deeper issues at play.

In any case, I've been experimenting daily with EFT to alleviate the pain and stiffness in my back, drawing on whatever information (videos, articles, audio, etc.) on the internet that I have been able to find. Yet I still have been coming up short. I have noticed that my back has become more sensitive in the past week. There has been some shifting, it seems. Though if anything, it feels as painful, if not slightly more so. Yikes!

I think its likely that I'm not getting beneath the symptoms enough and accessing the emotional level of what is going on. If I could do that, it might be experiencing less pain. But I'm really not sure, being so new to all of this. Do you have any suggestions to help me get connected to the emotional level beneath the actual physical pain?

Thanks for whatever support you can offer. :)
