Emotional Freedom Techniques
Emotional Freedom - Physical Freedom - Performance Freedom

EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Hello all of You

Anybody had experience with CLL, a cronical blood dieseas? I have no serius symptoms. I try to work on my immunsystem, my white "bad" immature and dead blood cells, and my bonemarrow.  I hope this will help me. I think there might bee a emotional reason for this. I can not find it myself. Could a nybody give me a clou? I had a not very lucky childhood, not bad. I was not really wanted by my parents, but treated well. My parents where divorced at my age of 3 months. I was at an nurceclinic a long time as a very little girl. Nobody can tell my for how long time. My mother would not talk about it. She allways said, that it was the very best nurcing home.

    Re: CLL

    Hello Anne,

Welcome to our EFT Forum. I haven't ever worked with CLL, but that is OK. I find it helpful to get to the emotions underneath the issue, and I also find it helpful to go back in time. So, some set-up phrases could be: Even though:

    • I didn't have a very lucky childhood, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
    • I didn't feel wanted by my parents, they were doing the best they could with what they knew and I forgive them for not making me a priority, and I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
    • I was at a nurcelinic for a long time as a little girl, and I didn't get much nurturing, I deeply and completely love and accept myself
    • I felt abandoned as a small child...

Anne, I Googled CLL and found out that it is a form of Leukemia. In You Can Heal Your Life, Louise Hay suggests that a mental cause of Leukemia could be the thought, "What's the use?".If this rings true for you, then I would include the set-up phrase: Even though I have wondered what's the use during my lifetime...

After getting the SUD level down to a 3 you may want to include I chose to move beyond past limitations into the freedom of the now. It is safe to be me.

Remember that you don't have to do it alone. Thanks for reaching out.

Let me know if any of this supports you.

     Gratefully yours,

    JoAnn

    Hello JoAnn

Thankyou for your answer and suggestions. I have worked at just those examples, that you mentioned. I will try again. Persistance!!

I think somehow, that I did not believe that I could handle this myself. I do not trust myself. Now I will really give it a chance.

I also just at a sudden had an intuition of "conflict" in my life. I have often been the 3. peron beside 2 other people in a conflict. (My mom and Dad) collegues and so on. I think I will work with that as well.

    Thank you again

    Gratefull yours

    Anne

I too have CLL, have never been treated, and feel grateful for EFT and the knowledge that I don't have to do it alone. JoAnn, Louise Hay's "What's the use?" rings true for me and will use it as a set-up phrase. I will keep you posted. Ash

Update: my WBC dropped 11,000 which is huge! The oncologist, rather than saying coming back in 6 months, said "See you in a year!"

    Re: CLL

     Kay,

Congratulations! As I said earlier, I don't know about CLL, but I would imagine that it is quite rare for an oncologist to say, "see you in a year!" Your persistence has paid off. I appreciate you coming back and sharing with the forum (and me) your success. It means a lot to me to know.

So, many times, I don't hear back one way or another. Hearing your triumph makes my heart sing.

     In appreciation,

    JoAnn

    Dear JoAnn

I was just wondering if one could combine Louise Hay's affirmations with EFT, and suddenly chanced upon your mail!

As I see it, Hay does not like to use any negative words, since it is affirmations she uses, and negative words may sink into the subconscious. It also feels calmer just to use positive words even though the situation may be a negative one.

EFT, on the other hand, acknowledges the negativity, names it, and encourages us to get beyond it.

    Re: CLL

     Hi,

The use of negative words was one of things that kept me away from EFT for 2 years after I was 1st exposed to it.I believe that I understand where you are coming from, however, you really don't need to worry.

My experience is to start using positive phrases after the intensity gets down to a 3 or less. Otherwise, it is too soon. It hasn't been that successful for me to use positive phrases until you get the negatives out of the way. After that, tap in the good!

When you say an affirmation, listen & see if a negative thought comes up...if it does--you can tap on that. By the way, those negative thoughts are called tailenders.

    Hope this helps,

    JoAnn

Well said Joann.  In my own work and in my work with clients, I agree.  Positive tapping is great for anchoring new, deliberate chosen beliefs, images, behaviors.  With the old emotions/beliefs still in the way, I rarely see results with positive tapping.

Thanks for your ongoing gift of your knowledge JoAnn.
