EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Wrist Pain wont go away.

     Hi all,

I wrote to one of the other blogs on this site about my osteoporosis etc and found when i tapped for anger with my sister and partner etc etc  the pain went from my back even mowing the lawn didnt bother it, where usually id be In major pain for days afterwards but thasnk god( and EFT ) its gone.BUT I also said in it I have a sore left wrist maybe from sleeping funny on it each night ,so i tapped for the anger thing maybe in my wrist but it seems to get worse.the doctor wants to stick needles in it but I know there is another way i can get rid of it with EFT but I have tried all the different ways of seeing it from my wrists point of view but no difference.I was wondering if when the pain in my back went it seemed to go to my wrist shortly after.you know like they say about chasing the pain well its just a thought that it went to my wrist and I have to chase it more .but what to say as a statement etc .I could be wrong about the pain has gone from my back to my left wrist but it just seems that way but what  could i use for that situation .

    Thanks

    Reiki3

    Hello,

I am so glad that EFT worked on helping you get rid of the pain in your back. HOORAY!!!

You could be right about chasing the pain. Before using the set-up statement, you want to assess the pain level in your wrist. It is also good to notice exactly where it is at. If you can get to the feelings underneath the pain, I find that EFT tends to work better... Also, it is really important to come up with the intensity level of the pain or emotion that you are experincing. You can decide if any of these set-up statements sound like they could be true for you, Even though:

    • I don't know why my left wrist hurts, I deeply and completely love and accept myself
    • there may be a part of me that doesn't want my wrist to get better...
    • there is a part of me that doesn't think that EFT can work on my wrist...

Some other thoughts that I have that may or may not be helpful to you: Wrists can represent movement and ease. So, some set-up phrases that might work for you could be, Even though:

    • there is a part of me that thinks that my life needs to be hard because of ________...
    • it is difficult for me to move my wrists, and I am getting older and that may be part of it...

Please let me know if any of this helps. You so deserve to handle all of your experiences with wisdom, with love, and with ease.

I know that you are whole and complete.

    Hello Skywatcher,

I seem to get fairly quick results with pain which is of musculoskeletal origin by tapping directly over the point whilst talking about the pain and when it appeared and what the patient might think the physical or emotional causr of the pain is. There was one aircraft engineer who was required to squat many times a day and had pain when he got up from a squatting position. this is commom problem that is called chondromalacia patella. the main treatment for this is physiotherapy. However, when I spoke to him about his issues surrounding his knee pain such as long work hours and pressure to get things done and needing to jump from heights whilst tapping directly over the knee caps it made the pain go away.... 1 minute only.  I dunno if it was permanant or not as I am a locum GP.

I have had similar success with tennis elbows and acromioclavicular joint injuries which ofern require sterio9d injections into the painful points to stop the pain more often temporarily.

Have you ever experimented with this?

    Hi Reiki3

I noticed you are in Qld, Australia! That's great...I love Qld.

I am in Perth, in Western Australia.

I have only just now joined this Forum so my comments could be totally old hat.

My question is (if the problem is still there...): Have you had your wrist tested for Carpel Tunnel Syndrome? I beleive it is a build up of calcium in the wrist where the nerves go through. My mother had it years ago and had to have a small op.

    Just wondered.

    Cheers

    David

    Hi,

I look for  the body to tell me where to look by the location of the pain. A good starting point is Louise Hays Heal Your Body. You say the pain is in your pain is in your left wrist. The wrist movement and ease. The left side of the body typically deals with relationship issues and if arthritis is involved then look for resentment.

So I would be looking for resentment directed at someone who constricts your freedom in some way as the source of the pain.

What about changing the habitual misuse or overuse of the wrist? Many times what alternative healing does is bring to your attention a message or lesson and with that we need to move forward from there. For instance, if you are in fact sleeping incorrectly of uncomfortably on your hand/wrist then you need to stop doing this to offer relief as well.

This would be like if someone lifts with their back and continues to injury the site but then learns how to lift correctly with their knees, they will eventually stop the habit of misuse and therefore their back will no longer be continually injured, etc.

The other is to YES continue to chase the issue from an emotional view point and if the wrist is actually experiencing 'pain' I would focus on the emotion of guilt. Keep in mind that guilt seeks punishment so you will want to also focus there. Another suggestion would be to lovingly release the past and acknowledge that you are now free.

Enjoy! Have a beautiful day, Kathleen

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Vall.  I live in Chicago, Illinois.  My right wrist has been hurting for about 2 months'.  I have completed 2 levels of EFT.  I have not tried one timeto use EFT  in regards to this issue.  A very telling sign.  I put wrist pain in the search engine and I found all of you.  What a blessing.  I have read each response and have gained something from each one.  I thank you so much.  I feel better just knowing  that I will be able to conquer my resistance.

I had wrist pain for years thinking it was from doing the same thing over and over.  I have an orthodontic lab, bending wire to fit patient's teeth.  Through other reading on healing, instead of thinking I have worn my wrist out, I told my wrist that I have the strongest wrist in town, that my wrist is in perfect physical condition.  I was able to stop wearing night and day supports and haven't had the pain since.  Amazing what the brain can do!
