EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    posterior disc protrusion

Does anyone know what I can do (Who to contact...) to stop the pain for the following? I have tried with no success to get any releif. I also have something wrong with my neck and right sholder but have to wait till January for a 2nd MRI. The doctor said nothing can be done and I will have to live with it. I don't think so! :-) I do not want to live on pain killers so I live with the pain. I am 42 years old and have 2 small children so I have to figure something out.

Here is my condition shown from an MRI.

    1. A right sided predominate posterior disc protrusion which causes neural foraminal stenosis in T1-2.       2. Mild prosterior disc bulge in T 6-7      3. L1-2 : Broadbased disc bulge and central disc protusion with the thecal sacmildly compressed anteriorly and measures approximately 12mm in AP diameter.         4. L 4-5: Broadbased disc bulge wich causes flattening of the thecal sac. The thecal sac measures approximately 8mm in AP diameter. The traversing nerve root looks impinged.         5. The L5-S1 level demonstrates a small annular tear as well as a broadbased disc bulge. The thecal sac is flattened and measures 9mm in AP diameter. The exiting nerve roots are contracted by disc material laterally.

    Re: posterior disc protrusion

    Hello LaureenAnn,

Welcome to our group. I think that you can get relief from the pain that you are experiencing in your neck and shoulder right now. You can tap along with the advice that people give you on this forum or you can contact one of the practitioners for help on the phone (I am available to work via phone).

    LaureenAnn, do you remember

    • what was going on in your life when you first experienced the pain in your neck?
    • or who is a pain in your neck?

The answers to these questions can be helpful to getting to the root of what is underneath the pain (pain can be a barometer for unfelt feelings).

Something else that I often find helpful is after doing several rounds of tapping, to ask your shoulder:

    • is their a message that you are trying to tell me?
    • what is it?

LareenAnn, I hope that something that I have shared with you rings true for you. I have helped people get rid of chronic shoulder pain. Here is a link http://www.emofree.com/Pain-management/shoulder-pain-say.htm to an article that I wrote in which I helped someone with their shoulder pain.

Please keep me in the loop. Seeing you as whole and complete.

    Gratefully yours,

    JoAnn

    Re: posterior disc protrusion

Okay, OUCH! just rereading the MRI results hurts.

I strongly recommend Feldenkrais work. Just Google the name. It is non-painful therapy which helps you learn new ways of moving so that you are able to move without/ with less pain. Amazing results in a short period of time. And, as you start learning to be open to different ways of moving, you also open up to different ways of thinking and being. When I scheduled weekly sessions to deal with severe hip and back pain, I would be there for 45-60 minutes, leave pain free, and have to readjust the seat and mirrors in my car before I drove home, there was that much change. Also this 'physical therapy' lasted for exactly 5 sessions and I was fixed. After my sessions, I got an ah-ha. "I don't walk a fat person anymore. I don't have to be fat" Lost 50# easily after that [still have lots more to go, but I lost down to were I honestly don't feel fat]

Regarding eft stems - what's pressing on me. what's got my back up? what am i turning my back on? Hope these lovely practitioners can help you feel better soon.

    Re: posterior disc protrusion

Thank you for your feedback.  I was in a car accident when the pain started. Then it subsided and I could only feel a lump in my back. A Natural path/Chiropractor worked on me for this and from that day on the pain has increased. I'm positive he did something wrong as he immediately sent me to a different Chiropractor. These are some of the things I have tapped on: Even though Michael is an ass for blowing the red light I forgive him and love myself. Even though this Doctor messed me up more I forgive him and love myself. Even though Michael has no understanding of my pain and figures I exaggerate I choose to forgive him.  I have been taping on everything I can relate to this for over a year with no relief.

I don't plan to give up but just can't figure out what else to tap on. I know I should see an expert but I'm a stay at home mom who is not covered for EFT medical coverage and cannot afford the therapy. (I think the price is fare I just don't have the money.) I also have hearing loss and do not hear very well over a telephone.
