EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Hip and lower back pain

Hello: I am new to this forum and wondered if there are any suggestions as to what I can do with this pain that I have in my left hip and lower back.

a short history I had my left hip pinned when I was 11 years old and had the pins removed when I was 21. The drs had said I have osteo arthritis and had discussed a total hip replacement when I was 25...I am 41 now I work out using weights and cardio and have done on and off for over 14 years.

the problem is is that I have this pain in my left hip not constantly just at certain times and in all honesty it feels like it is coming from my hip flexor. when I stretch or lean forward in an exaggerated way it feels really tight. I do work out but have been overweight for about 4 years and have since lost 30lbs. the stiffness in my hip does not permit the ease of really stretching properly when I lie down, it feels so tight that I feel if I stretch too much I might dislocate my hip.

there is also a pain on the sole of my left foot, right under the arch and again this is not constant and once I massage my foot it feels better. the pain in my lower back seems to be more prevalent when my period is due, but hurt more when I was heavier. I wondered if you recommend anything?

do you think I need to have an alignment done?

    Thank you very much

    Hi DD,

    I would:

    • Tap on the incidents when you had procedures done to the area
    • Tap for pain/discomfort when it comes up
    • Tap-and-stretch as you do your stretches - you don't have to tap all the points, just those that are practical, a kind of emergency tapping shortcut

    Happy Tapping!

    Hi,

I think a massage might help since you zero'd in on the flexor muscles.you can apply heat to the muscles and then try to do the movement that hurt before heat application.

If it is improved then it is muscular so massage is in order. After the massage I would tap to keep the area flexible and 100% blood flow since old injuries tend to want to go back to the way they were. EFT can assist you in keeping them soft, pliable and receptive to being stretched

Re: Hip and lower back pain

    Hello

The left side of the body is related to the feminine or female issues and/or people in our lives. You also mentioned during your cycle and it again being the left side of the body having issues.

Is there a dominant female or female issue[s] in your life somewhere that cause you emotional distress or worry? What about the fact that you are female? Does this say anything to you, meaning the inner you as well? Was there anything in childhood or adolescence that caused you to think that females were, well anything ... as I don't want to put words or thoughts into your history.

There are also supplements that you might want to consider [in particular liquid glucosamine/chondroitin/msm] to help with the physical issues of hip, joint conditions and alignments will definitely help to prevent erosion on other body parts by keeping everything in a more balanced weight and wear position. And as you are aware, extra weight is definitely a challenge to the body, especially if there are areas that have been injured.

    In Peace, Kathleen

P.S. The supplementation thought is via personal experience.
