EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Hello,

I'm 55 years old suffering from this killinh headache for 2 month (non-stop). I feel the pain arround the synusses. The conventional doctors can't find anything.

Can anyone recommend of a proven tapping method to "kill" the pain?

    Thanks, arona.

    Hi Arona,

I come from the place that says pain is our friend not our enemy.  So maybe the pain is pointing to something unhappy with your sinuses.   Have you tried tapping for that?

    Hello Arona

Hard time getting headaches to subside ... check out this thread for a response that I just posted. This should give you much insight and some very good places to start and work on.

If you need other thoughts, please feel free to ask.

Good luck tapping and I guarantee this will at least tackle a good portion of the pain.

    Peace, Kathleen

P.S. I don't believe you mentioned here your thoughts on 'why' you believe you are experiencing these headaches? This too is very important and helpful in your relieving the issue.

    Hi Arona and Suzanne,

I agree with Suzanne here.  For instance, yesterday I worked with a client who had been dealing with very painful (between 8-10 on SUDS level) sinus headaches and had tried many things including trying to "tap them away with EFT" with no success.  One of my favorite questions to ask when things are stuck like this is "Suppose the pain was trying to tell you something.  What would that be?"   This question helped her realize that she hasn't had time to grieve an important death due to a series of chaotic life events.  Instead of feeling angry at her body for hurting, she realized that her body was trying to remind her of how much she loved this person.  The message of her body was to remember to grieve.  As this shift happened, the energy in her sinuses started to shift, her pain decreased to a 3 and she left the session with a plan to spend time grieving.

I have to deeply appreciate the way our bodies often talk through the language of pain.

    With much love,

    Paul

Paul What a lovely result. I have worked with a few chronic sinus sufferers and it is often unshed tears over something or unacknowledged pain. Starting with imagining whats going on in the sinuses, shape, colour etc and just following the thoughts and images that come up might be helpful. Gill

    Hey Gill,

It was a very sweet session.  I appreciate your insight on this - sinus sufferers having unshed tears.  Hadn't thought of this pattern before and it makes total sense.  Thanks for the wisdom.

    Re: "Killing" headache

    Hello Paul

You mention here to ask the question 'what might this pain be saying to you' ... I just wanted to remind everyone that when asking these questions, just go with the first thing that comes up. Even if it doesn't seem like it relates or that it is of matter to you, it obviously needs or wants some attention or it wouldn't be there at the moment you allowed it to surface.

I say this because I have had clients ask me after stating the response to these types of questions, 'what does that have to do with anything?' or even 'I wonder why that would come up ... I don't even think about that ever ...' And let me be perfect open and honest here while I'm here, I've even thought this a time or 2, 'funny why that would surface' but having training in the Healing Arts you know that it means something, it wants attention and its best to give it what it wants ... time to be heard while we are here lol.

    Thanks for this.

    In Peace, Kathleen

Good point Kathleen.  I agree 99.5%.  The other .5% is the provocative therapist in me.  :~)
