EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    I'm New Here

Hi. I'm Deborah from east TN. I've started tapping today. I have a lot of health problems, but right now I'm concentrating on loosing weight. Most of my health problems will be eased with the weight loss. So, my question is how often do you do your tapping? Right now, I'm doing it about every hour. Is that too often? Any tips will be appreciated. Deborah Brent

    Re: I'm New Here

    HI Deborah,

Congratulations for finding and USING EFT! What I tell my clients when I assign homework as daily tapping just starting out is that I would rather have compliance instead of burn out but some people are fine doing it and are happy to be doing it more often. Some questions that will reveal where you can focus some of your tapping sessions are when did I gain this weight, what are my problem eating patterns or foods, I would rather be eating than feeling/doing/being ____?

The excess weight is a symptom of the unresolved heavy baggage of your emotional life. Find those, tap on them, and you will release the weight easily.

I would also recommend that you view Gary's DVDs to give you some understanding of the process.

    Blessings,

    Hi Deborah,

Thanks for introducing yourself.  I agree with Alina's suggestion of getting the Foundational Library DVD's.  Your emotional freedom is worth the small investment.  In general, I would say that tapping every hour isn't a good idea.  That frequency tends to have a desperation energy about it. I would encourage you to approach EFT with a spacious feel to it.  Tends to be much more effective for my clients.

    With much love,

    Paul

I know why I've overeaten through the years. When I was young I had unwanted sexual attention from men. Also, as years have gone by, I don't handle stress very well. But, since I've been doing the tapping today I have felt better. I don't really care why. It's just great to have a good day. I have a host of health problems the major one is fibro.

    Hello Deborah

With the unwanted sexual attaction from men in mind, you will want to focus on things such as the fact that you either knowingly or unknowingly created more space between you and men [in general] by making your body larger. Also in your mind, or in the words that you hear ringing truth, either from a person or society or even your own thoughts, men aren't as attracted to larger women so again, you've created that barrier between you and them by creating a dislike and/or unattractiveness to your self through your body.

There are others, but these are ones that should be addressed and as you do so, I'm sure you will come up with aspects surrounding them that connect and also require attention.

Let us know how you experience this healing process and release.

    Peace, Kathleen
