It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Hi Escobar,

    I am so pleased you are doing the 3 statements.  Like many others they are finding simple, very cheap :) and effective to do.

    I would recommend getting all three statements down to a zero, then check it every day for awhile until it has been a zero for awhile.  You may need to repeat if you find you are starting to be "out of control" again with your eating.  But say the positive affirmation during the day "I am in TOTAL CONTROL of what I eat, when I eat and how much I eat" will back up the EFT.

    I am getting such a good response from the three statements with alot of people mentioning after trying all sorts of diets this seems so easy to do.

     I have been tapping with these statements for the last month.

    It is too easy. I can't quite believe it.

    I have lost 4kgs without trying.

    I'm very happy and people are noticing that I am slimmer.

    I have followed them on Sunny's website. I also do her exercise tapping session too.

    Well done "sigzephyr"...thats fantastic you are losing weight  with the 3 statements.

    Alot of people intially don't take the statements seriously as they think "thats too easy"...but when they actually

    put effort into doing them they do work and it is always quite surprising to them.

    So good on you for giving it a go and seeing how easy it is. :)

    When we are stating the affirmations, do we also tap?

     I'm new to EFT - this may be in the materials I haven't yet studied, but I'll appreciate your response.

    Hi Karen,

    I have used the 3 statements in two different ways.  During the day I continually repeat the statements in the positive way eg: " I am in total control of what I eat, when I eat and how much I eat".

    Then as a bonus and to make the statements work more effeciently and quickly I tap on the negative using EFT " I have no control over what I eat"    " I have no control over when I eat"  and " I have no control over how much I eat".  Be sure to get each statement down to an intensity of a zero.

    Most people find "I have no control over how much I eat" to be the biggest problem.

    This really works and it is so easy..

    I have a question.

     How do we know  when  to use negative statements to help heal?  Such  as:

    Even though I have NO CONTROL over what I eat

     

     

    And when to use positive statements? Such as:

    I have TOTAL control over what I eat.

     

    I personally have no control over what I eat.

    Hi Harry,

    You use the negative statement when you are using EFT.

    The EFT will help address the "no control" issue quickly which will then help your subconscious to accept the positive affirmation.

    You use the positive statements during the day continuously.  But can I please remind everyone that you must say the positive affirmations

    in a determined and meaningful way, to get full benefits from it.

    Here are some symbols that helped me lose weight..The first one is a
    Sanjeenvini Healing card that you can put all your food and liquids on
    before consuming and the other is just a subconscious symbol to put on
    the fridge or cupboard to remind you what you are doing.

     Hello from Julie -- mother of three boy -14 two girls -9 & 7.  My girl 9 is over weight and I need HELP

    PLEASE -- my family has been eating very well for the past three years (since Sept.05) We eat very little sugars,

     no grains, no potatoes, no mushrooms - NO PROCESSED FOODS AT ALL !!! My little one "Maria" weighs 160pds. - and 

    is often made fun off - because of her size .She is a normal person feeling sensitive to the comments and looks she

    receives. I want to help her feel better about herself and her weight.

    I am just beginning to learn of EFT and began to read (The EFT Manual by Gary Craig).   I want to learn soooooooooo much.

    The correct points for tapping and correct wording for tapping -- IT ALL !!!  Could you be of help to me ??

     Hi Julie,

    I would imagine that it would be difficult to see your sweet daughter being made fun of... I too, have a grown son, daughter, and granddaughter that I love very much.

    Personally, I would learn how to do EFT and practice it on different issues. For example, start with simple things like: 

    • headache
    • stomache
    • physical pain 

    You could work on yourself. Read about results people are getting with EFT on Gary Craig's EFT Newsletter and the Forum here. You can use the search engine to look up what people have done on the emofree.com website.

    While you are learning, and practicing EFT, you will be building confidence from your experience in using EFT.

    You could also tap on your emotions that you have about your daughter's situation. If it were my daughter, I could imagine feeling helpless, sadness, and possibly anger or guilt.

    Also, I would make a study of your daughter's situation, and take notes. When did she start gaining weight? Was there a particular incident? When does she overeat? What kind of names do the kids call her? What emotions does she stuff? How active is she? Does she eat while she is watching TV? Does she eat junk foods? Does she multitask while she eats? Does she eat quickly? What emotions doe your daughter struggle with expressing?

    You could use the information from your observations about your daughter to tap on... or you may want to find a practitioner that has experience with these issues... if it seems like too much.

    I guess what I am trying to say is that I believe that this is a complex issue, and your daughter is a sensitive girl. I don't know of a simple statement that you can use with EFT that will just fix the problem. However, EFT can help--if down properly.

    Julie, to summarize my personal recommendation, it would be for you to either get a track record yourself with EFT before you try using EFT on your daughter's weight issue or find an EFT practitioner that specializes in weight control.

    I just had another thought. After you learn how to do EFT, you could teach your daughter how to use EFT for situations where she feels:

    • frustrated
    • angry
    • bored

    If your daughter knows how to use EFT when she is feeling emotional, it could help her feel her emotions instead of eating.

    Hi Julie,

    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, we have been away over xmas. 

    If you have cut your portions down and are eating good healthy food, you may need to have your daughter checked out by a medical practioner as she may have a medical reason for not losing weight.  

    Otherwise she can try the tapping on being in control of what she eats, how much she eats and when she eats.

    It may also be a case of her friends giving her extra food at school? 

    With young children that have weight issues I would tend to do remote tapping on them.  (That is imagining them doing the tapping on themselves)  It seems a little far fetched, those who are new to EFT, but it does work incredibly well, epecially with children as they are so open.

    You can ask permission from their "higher self" first if you like?

    Hi Julie,

     EFT can be helpful in terms of helping your daughter handle the comments and looks that she is receiving. You could also tap on the uncertainty of why she is overweight (Even though I don't know why she is overweight . . .). Surrogate tapping, where you tap as if you are her, is very helpful with children, especially if they are not open to learning it themselves. You can also tap on YOUR feelings about the comments she is receiving and how upsetting it is to you (Even though I hate that the kids say mean things . . .) Using EFT in this way can help settle your feelings and perhaps lead you to knowing how to help her. Best of luck.
