My experience in working with relieveing pain is to get to the emotional source of the pain.
Think back to before you first starting experiencing the gout...
- What was going on in your life--emotionally that was big?
- Was there anything that you were really angry at?
- Was there something that you felt like you needed to dominate?
- Was there something that you felt impatience about?
Do any of these questions resonate with your experience? If they do, then you can use EFT on how you feel about those experiences now.
You want to get to core emotional issues that are still in your energy system. EFT works really well to help release them. It is like working on a puzzle, and you work on releasing the issues that are related to the condition.
