EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    New to EFT

Hi, I'm new to EFT. I have a question about the procedures.  Do we apply EFT whenever we feel our problem (craving for food) or do we generally do it at a set time?  (like in the morning every day)

    Hi Harry,

Attack this problem on 2 fronts for best results.

    1. I would apply EFT to your craving for food whenever you feel the craving.  eg: "Even though I crave this cake, I deeply and completely accept myself.... etc."   Until the immediate craving has subsided.

    2. Apply EFT to all your thoughts about food and overeating at set times.  I would try to tie this down to some specific times in the day.  For example, before meals, every time you visit the bathroom, every time you are waiting at a red light, every hour on the hour.. something like that.

For a beginner tapping on this, I would sit down and write a list of at least 20 thoughts you have about eating...  eg:

I overeat when I am stressed,
      I overeat when I am angry/sad/depressed/whatever
I eat things when I am watching TV.
I think it would be bad to leave food on my plate because of all the starving in Africa.
All my family were overweight and so I must be too..
      etc....

Tap on one thing a day, at least 6 rounds per issue.

    3. Create your own Personal Peace Procedure. See Gary Craigs website and do a search for Personal Peace Procedure for details.

    Best regards

    Philip.
