EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    knee and Hip Pain

Hi, I have had this knee and hip pain for years and was hoping to rid myself of it with EFT, but it hasn't happened. I stared about a year ago taping. and trying to figure out what to say. but I have had know results. I went to an EFT worker and had know results with her. I only went two time but it is expensive. and I quit. I was hoping that someone out there could help me. Everybody seems to get something out of EFT and I am wondering why I can't. Re: knee and Hip Pain

     Hi,

     Welcome to our site!!!

Have you been tapping for the physical pain? That is a good starting point, but when it doesn't work, it is important to deal with emotional issues.

What was going on in your life in terms of traumatic events when you first started noticing the pain? If there is something you can remember, then you could tap on that event to clear it...

Who or what is a pain in your butt right now? Do you find yourself saying, "_____ is a pain in the butt"? If so, tap on that. For example, here could are some set-up phrases that you can play with, Even though:

    • I feel angry at _______________ for being a pain the butt, I deeply and completely love and accept myself
    • I feel frustrated because I have been using EFT for a year, and I haven't found any results...

I am thinking that you haven't gone deep enough yet. You need to get to the emotional issues.

Maybe your hip and knee are like a barometer telling you that you need to deal with your emotional issues. When you deal with them, the pain may go away.

After you do some rounds of tapping, do some deep listening to notice if you get any insights. If you do, tap on those.

Also, you may want to go to a chiropracter or other body worker--just to get that part handled.

Please let me know if any of this helps.

    Gratefully yours,

    JoAnn

    Re: knee and Hip Pain

Hi Berna - the hips and the knees help to move us forward in our bodies and in our lives. Could you be feeling held back by someone, so you can't make the progress you seek? ...or maybe yourself? The bones are the purview of the Kidney meridian. There are emotions that are specific to each organ/meridian. The kidneys are all about fear vs. peace, courage, being heard or not heard, feeling safe or not safe, etc. You could try "Even tho I have this hip/knee pain, I deeply and completely love and accept myself. Even tho I do not feel safe moving forward," etc.....if that resonates for you. Try that and let me know. Good luck, Pam

    Re: knee and Hip Pain

Hello Berna Some wonderful thoughts and advice given by the other responders and I hope that you have been able to grasp something there and work towards relief and eventual release. I wanted to also mention that depending on the side of the body that the pain is being experienced can also have significance. The left side is represented by a significant female in your life, to include your self. The right side by a male figure. This is another avenue to explore and work to release any and all connection to the physical via the emotional, mental or even spiritual issues that lie here. Another question for you. Do you or have you considered chiropractic adjustments. Pain in the knee is an automatic if hip pain continues for a prolonged period of time and visa versa as the body will work to compensate for one pain and eventually cause/create another. After childbirth I found that I was having hip issues and it eventually ran into knee issues and found that in order for my body to compensate for the way in which the baby was sitting and for the extra weight that I was carrying it threw my hip forward. This position never corrected itself however chiropractic adjustments did it for me. I trust this will help guide you and if you'd like to share your experiences and progress, I'd love to hear. Peace, Kathleen
