EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

The Joke in my Shoulder Blade: experience of a young Welsh guy

The symptoms of Janine seem identical to my own shoulder blade problem; only mine seems to go more often than come.

A farther coincidence, though, the past few days I’ve had increasing pain in this area. I checked my inbox today, and there was an account of shoulder pain, later revealed to be precisely my problem.

The past week I’ve been working on some issues with my hypnotherapist, who also uses EFT, more than hypnotherapy infact.

These issues distantly relate to the sort of things Janine held.

So, strange 'now' this pain should come back, after a relatively long period of little to no trouble what so ever.

I don’t really know where to start tackling the issues specifically related to my pain, much of the issues related to what I can think might have an impact on it have by and large dissolved.

Also I have this additional pain at the same time, which seems to creep up the base of my neck, and shoot across my left trapezius, starting from the spine closest to the scapula pain.

The best way I can describe my scapula pain, is: imagine for a moment you have heavily over worked the muscles from the base of the neck to the base of the scapula, then done the same with extremely heavy weights, but only on the right side, you’ve left it for a day or two, for the muscle ache to set in fully, then done the same over-working exercises, and immediately someone jabs a sharp, short, but very broad blade horizontally into the soft flesh between the spine and scapula, twisting it vertical while turning it in and under the shoulder blade, then twisting it back, but holding it in there. All that in every moment of pain to varying degrees. When it's playing up in-between pains, it feels like muscle does when you work it hard, but not to the point of pain just so you can consciously feel the muscle.

I don’t really know what I expected to get from writing this, but it has cleared in my head exactly how the pain feels. Because as many of you know when pain is that intense, it's hard to pinpoint exactly where or how it feels.

     Well, thanks for reading...

If anyone has any questions please ask, no matter how personal, or whatever.

I’m a very open person, plus, I’d do just about anything right now, to get rid of this debilitating pain.

     Hi Andus,

The Joke in you shoulder blade? What do you think the joke is? I find humor to be a fantastic tool.

    What have you been shouldering?

Has there been something that has been weighing you down?

no, thats just the thing, i feel free of so many things i didnt even realise were there.

at this very moment the pain is fairly low, i think it generally subsides towards the end of the day, but is still painfull enough to cause discomfort and sleeplessness.

Hello A couple of things come to mind. First being if I'm hearing you correctly, a pain or discomfort that is focused in the upper back, shoulder blade area [up underneath it, deep inside ... ouch, been there before so I know] is connected to relationship issues [from an Oriental Medicine viewpoint]. Remember that relationships can mean many things and different things to all people, but you might do your self some good to focus there for a moment and see how that fits. Listen with compassion and truth and allow whatever needs to be said and shown to you to surface so that you can attack it with the same focus and truth, proper intention. The next would be the side of the body that is being affected by the pain and discomfort. Left being represented by a significant female and the right being that of a male and this can also include our self as well. Truth again here can be of utmost importance. And then of course we should never over look the possibilities of using our body incorrectly and needing to change our movements and/or employ the efforts of a trusted chiropractor to readjust and realign our body and system. I trust this will help guide you. Peace, Kathleen
