EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Trainingscamp

     Dear all,

I am completely new to the forum and relatively new to EFT.

Just last week I was offered the chance to take part in a tennis training camp and work with children - either in a group of approx. 20 for 45 mins. or in 4 groups of 45 mins. each.

I would be delighted to hear from someone who has done something similar and could give me some tips on how to best approach this. Have you found that there are certain general issues that affect most children doing sports?

When I have done groups or talks before it has mostly resulted in the praticipants being very happy with what they have learned and not needing to come back - as well as teaching all their friends. While I am really happy to make EFT available to as many people as possible, this is not really the way to earn a living. I would appreciate thoughts and suggestions on this specific issue, too.

     Thanks!

Kind regards, Esther Weingarten (Bonn, Germany)

    Re: Trainingscamp

    What age are the children?

I think one of the great things about children is that they learn so easily. One of the great things about EFT is that it allows adults to learn more like children by removing the emotional blocks to learning that they have picked up along the way.

I'm not saying that EFT won't help children to learn, but that if they're young, i would expect it to help less than it would with adults (as there are less emotional issues in the first place).

     Hi Chris,

thank you for your prompt reply.

The children are aged between 8 and 17. I will try and separate them into groups according to their age.

Apparently they will be rather stressed when they are there - which means that just doing basic EFT might have a noticeable effect, I thought.
