EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

hi everyone, I just have a question about the tapping points :-)

hello, everyone! I noticed in gary's videos on youtube that he does not tap the top of the head or the sore chest spot. hmmm, the sore spot and the collar bone are 2 seperate points, right? i also noticed he doesn't tap on the liver spot. can someone help to clarify EXACTLY the way he is doing it and where exactly he is tapping. I have seen many other videos of people doing EFT and it seems like everyone has a different process. But since gary is the creator of it, I trust his opinion best and want to do it the way he does it. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hi ethelmertz85,

I bought all the dvd's collections of Gary. You can exchange the sore spot with the Karate chop as you say your affirmation in the set up and you will get the same results. The liver spot is not in the videos as it is not practical to be done in seminars infront of everybody. The collar bone is different than the sore point and should be done. The difference is because they use the short appriviated version of the tapping. This is to save time. You will be in a better way if you follow the full version and not the appriviated versions. It is all same as Gary the long and the short.

i tried the tapping for the first time today! I tried it on a headache this morning. it started at an 8, then went down to about 3, then 2, then 1, and now I would say its inbetween a 0.5 and a 1 or 1 and a half.

For my first time, I believe I did very well! I expect to get better and better with the tapping as time goes on. Patience is the key. Wow, this EFT is a miracle!!!

The free downloaded manual uses finger points, too. I haven't seen any you tube videos that ever use them ... or the gamut points, either. On a scale of 1 to 10, how effective is the process not including these parts of the sequence.

to my knowledge most ppl do not use the gamut points or the finger points. i personally use the karate chop point, eyebrow, eye, under the eye, under the nose, under the lip, collar bone area, under the arm, and top of the head. I did this full sequence this morning for a headache. This was my first time ever doing the EFT process and let me tell you my headache went from an 8 all the way down to like 1.  I think this is the first time I had ever gotten rid of a headache without taking advil.

Re: tapping points :-) - further to that question

    Hi,

For 95% of the time, I don't use the gamut point (on the top of the hand between the baby finger tendon and ring finger tendon). However, there is a time to use the gamut point. I use it when the intensity level gets below a 3. This particular part used to really turn me off--the rolling of the eyes, humming and counting. It balances the right and left hemisphere of the brain. Personally, I haven't used the finger points in several years, and get great results.

When you are first learning--follow a pattern that you like--so you feel comfortable learning it.Personally I like including the liver point, wrist points and top of head. Also, I like tapping on both sides of the body.

Hope this helps... and keep on tapping.

hello msteve666, you can omit the finger points. Gary Craig said that the same tapping points of the fingers can be found in the ones he uses for short cuts; like the ones in the face around the eye. So it is 100% effective. The gamut points is somewhat needed but not for everybody. Some people would not reach 0 without it, others they easily does.

Re: tapping points :-) - further to that question

    Hi everyone,

In my training I teach everyone the Basic Recipe which includes the 9 gamut Procedure ..then when they know the procedure ..I show them some of the latest , newer versions.

Note I say ' newer ' as there are so many variants that I have seen with the Masters and may I say myself !

I use the Gamut but tell attendees they don't have to...I love this point and how great we can be so flexible with EFT to allow this degree of flexibility in the sequence.

I always use top of head and again advise attendees it is their choice ...to date only one attendee has not liked using this point.

Also I tap all over the chest..Collar Bone, Sore Points, Arm Points and Thymus Thump..I discovered this over 18 months ago..I love it and tap for several minutes and clients love it !

Interestingly, I also call it a double whammy because you can use the sore points again as the PR/KC point and re introduce set up phrase etc..Hey thats another version...hope this doesn't confuse you!

    Warmest wishes,

    Marie
