EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Am I Getting it Right?

    I learned the EFT technique on line and have been practicing it with some success.  I do wonder if I have the right area under the arm when I tap; is it a very specific point?  Also, I use the phrase, "Even though I have this ___________, I deeply and completely accept myself," and then for the reminder I just say "headache" or whatever I'm focusing on.  -  Am I on the right path?  Thanks in advance for any responses!

    If you use several fingers as you tap, you cover a larger area especially under the arm.

    And yes, you are doing it right, with your phrasing, remember words are just there to connect with the block. so tune in...and don't hesitate to follow up what may come up...

    There is the 'correct' protocol, as taught by Gary and others, but there is also the wide variety of different methods that are seemingly equally as effective - this is where the intuition part comes in. For example, listen to some of Brad Yates sample sessions on Utube and his various websites - you see that their can be a wide range of direction, all of which are apparently effective. With time it seems most practitioners develop their own style which works best for them. Get exposed to as many styles as you can, and see and 'feel' what works best for you.......
