EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

Thanks for the suggestions....1 more question

Thanks to all that responded with great ideas. I have to say however that I have about a thousand phrases or issues I could tap on. I really don't know where to start! All I know is that tapping on the pain ie: "even though I have this pain in the right shoulder blade....." is getting me nowhere so I know it has a deeper emotional meaning, but the possibilities are honestly endless. Do I just pick one and start?? How many times do I tap on a phrase before determining that's not quite the right one?? I'm feeling a bit at a loss on how perssiatent to be with a particular phrase....any advice??

    thanks again!

    Hello Marnica,

You may want to start by tapping on your frustration and confusion and, you may want to include in your set-up phrases, Even though:

    • I feel frustrated that I am getting nowhere with EFT...

    • I am not sure where to begin...

    • I am feeling a bit at a loss on how to do this...

    • I am feeling confused about where to start with EFT...

Then Tap and *** about all of your frustrations, confusion, etc. Tap about 7 times on each point and express whatever is in your mind--until you get it ALL out. Do it until you are almost bored.

Then stop and listen to your intuition. Is there an experience in your life that feels like a burden? One that is pulling you down, and you would rather not have? Choose ONE—be specific. Then tap on how you feel about that burdensome issue. Your shoulder may be acting as a barometer for feelings that you are stuffing.  As you lower the intensity of the feelings—check how your shoulder feels, and see how if the pain in your shoulder is lessening.

When I first started doing EFT, I would tap on the pain directly. Sometimes that worked. What I found was that when that didn't work, I had to jump into the emotions that were underlying the pain.

After some rounds of tapping, ask your shoulder, “what is the message that you are trying to tell me?”

Please let me know if any of this helps.

    Gratefully yours,

    SkyWatcher
