EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

    Great conversation everyone.

I wanted to chime in with a couple of thoughts that come from working with several thousand men - I worked in and then was director of a men's center for over 12 years.  The thing I've seen be most effective is working on both the anxiety and shame that go with porn addiction as well as working towards increasing one's ability to have more intimate relationships.

    Blessings,

    Re: pornography and masturbation addiction

Hi everyone I wanted to add my two cents into this thread, EFT works GREAT for porn & masturbation addiction for me, it feels like I never had a problem at all, to the point of not remembering I looked at it in the past. I used to work as a dating coach and could get most women I wanted and as much sex as I wanted, but I would rather look at porn... it was horrible. Unfortuantly for me the effects of EFT seem to wear of after about 3 days for some reason? So am having to tap every 2 days for 20 mins, I find this very strange and have been tapping on every issue and feeling I can somehow link with my addiction, past anxiety about talking to women when I was young, comfort, needing it for excitement, escapism to relax etc, (literally 30 things now I tap on) Any suggestions, I just find it really odd that it seems to ware of and old obessive thought return after 2.5/3 days?

    Hi Cray,

I have a couple of suggestions...

When I first started doing EFT, nobody told me I should be permanently fixed.  I applied it to neck pain that I had had constantly for years. The pain disappeared in a few rounds, and I was delighted.  A few hours later, it returned, I tapped, and it went.  A few hours later, same thing, I tapped and it went. I was absolutely over the moon.  This was a miracle cure to me, and I saved a fortune on treatments that I had been having for it.  I was happy.  I did this for three whole months before one day, I woke up with no neck pain.  What I'm trying to say is that if regular tapping is keeping the addiction at bay, go for it.  One day, you will have tapped enough and the results will last longer, and then longer, and finally, it can be permanent.

I find that when people are drawn to an addiction rather than sexual relationships, there is a problem in the past.  This issue makes the person afraid of getting serious with someone or afraid of having children.  Usually, the person is totally unaware of this on the conscious level.  I find this present when:

    • The parents had a cold, violent, or unsatisfactory relationship, so the client is afraid at a unconscious level to end up in the same situation.
    • The client was abused as a child and does not trust themselves at a deeper level to have children in case they abuse them.  If the client has a lasting relationship, then they may have children.
    • There are genetic issues in the family, and although not necessarily discussed or acknowledged, the client feels at an unconscious level that if they had children, they will have the genetic problems. Again, if the client has a lasting relationship, they may have children condemned to great suffering, and most people would not consider adoption as a first option.
    • The client has been brought up in a way where sex was portrayed as dirty or sinful.  Now, in order to get a relationship, most people have to have some form of sex with the potential partner, and the relationship usually needs sex to keep it going.  But sex is bad.  So, it is easier to have sex with prostitutes or porn, as it fulfills a need without being too "real".

I don't know if any of the above rings a bell, but hopefully, you can get another perspective to work from.

     Hey Mr. Compton,

I'm a teen that has been struggling with masturbation addiction. I am sure you know how annoying this addiction is.
I am an honors student and an aspiring virtuoso guitarist. This addiction has been a HUGE impediment. I would
like to cure this addiction as soon as possible. How much experience generally would an EFT practitioner need
to cure this type of addiction? Generally, how long does it take to cure?

    Arden Compton:
Hi, I realize it has been seven months since you added your post, I haven't checked in on this forum for a while. You asked if anyone was interested in helping you to let you know. I would be happy to help you as I have seen great results in helping others with masturbation (and pornography). I hope that you found help and the problem is history. But if for some reason you are still struggling, feel free to contact me, I am here to help. You can be free of this problem! God bless you! Arden (435)226-0013 wholesomelives@mac.com

    Re: pornography and masturbation addiction

How much experience an EFT practitioner needs to help someone with an addiction depends on what is driving the addiction. I have helped some people with addictions to chocolate and diet coke, and after a few simple rounds of tapping on the craving it is all cleared up. However, I helped one women with a soft drink addiction that was tied to her childhood sexual abuse, and it took months to clear it. Certainly the more experienced the practitioner the more likely he or she will help you achieve the desired results quicker. So, in answer to you the question of how long it takes to cure, that also depends on what is driving the addiction. Some with a masturbation addiction clear in a few visits (3 visits is the least I have seen), while some can take 2 or 3 months. Even when a person seems to be free of the problem in just a few visits, I like to stay in touch long term just to make sure things are still good. Does this answer your questions? If not, feel free to contact me!

    Re: pornography and masturbation addiction

    Hi  All,

About 10 years ago, I had a slight heart attack and doing net research, I learned there is about 10 root causes that can bottom line contribute or lead to a heart attack. Let me add to in helping others what I use to help person A did not one iota help person B with the same condtition, some of you know the reality of what I just said.

All that said over a day ago I did a net search per: EFT and entities, and if you do too per google, the first web site you get, should read: EFT. entity release and computer addiction, you should find a artice by an EFT prictionsner,sp, Mike White, and he told of case that he had and how he had to use a technique taught to him years ago to remove an entity from his client that it was causing his addiction.

About 15 years ago, here at the University of Hawaii, a lady sponsored those on this island to give a presentation of what they do in the healing arts here, on one saturday, this hypnotist told of case that had of client that died of cancer and with in about a few years I think, her sister too came down with cancer, and I think he said for some reason going with a haunch of his, what he did was put the sister under and what he learned that the dead sister had attached herself to the living one.  He too used more of a hynotist technique to get the dead sister to leave, and then the living one got better.

How some muscle tester test a client of their to see if they have entities, is to see how strong they test when they say like I am so and so,(their name) and if they test weak, this indicate that the client  may needs to be cleared.  But some of them know how to avoid being detected, And this is more of the demonic ones, but for most, they are more like lower grade earth bound spirits. That said, there are many that do distant SRT work, I learned this about 10 years ago just incase I need to use it for others and myself too, just keeping my self clear.

Ok, back to more of the norm, like with an heart attack, it be too with this porn problem, the root reason may vary from person to person, and SRT and work of it, will not work to help some. That said, Mike White may be able to be looked up per the net, and I am not sure if he does this kind of work over the phone?  And he may be likely to share with others as how in depth, he did what he did? Sorry, and I may should not be saying this of him as I did ok? It seems that most EFT persons love to share what the do and learned too. Gary set the lead in this area it seems.

Like I said, I have not watched any of Gary's tapes, and know not if he too speak on how to try and best help some that may have entitiy problems?  Personally, I do not like talking about this kind of stuff to most persons, just those that may be open to hear and know of it.

Here is the site: http://www.emofree.com/Addictions/porno-addiction-entities.htm  and this link should work, and if not do like I suggested, google "EFT and entites", a site on EFT .entity release and computer addition.

    Harry

PS:  Again, my input is more for food for thought ok?

     Hi Mr. Compton,

I tried asking my dad for money for the donation but he won't let me do that. I also asked him if I can buy the EFT DVDs but he still will not
let me buy them even if I paid him back. Do you know any other resource that is free online that can aid people with their addictions? (Also
I can't buy anything because my parents and I are in a bad economic situation.

    Re: pornography and masturbation addiction

     Hey there bud,

I know there have been a ton of response to this thread.. and I'm sure mostly because it's so common. I don't really have any affirmations to share, but I do have my own story, so I thought I'd lay it out for you.

I do figured out masturbation at quite a young age. From there on, it was at least once a day, maybe even twice. It's so easy for it to become an addiction it's not even funny. Years have passed now, and I'm also in my mid-twenties, about to marry the sweetest girl in the world. I'm completely happy, and sexually satisfied for her, it's just been really tough to kick the habit of masturbating.. It's like it's that much more different than sex. I realize this is a little bit different than your situation.. but there is what I've done to help myself..

I usually search first, for porn, so instead of having Google set on no search filters, I set it on the most extreme level. This helps cut down on finding anything good, at which time I would have to go in and change the setting, which thankfully I have enough will power not to do..

Two, I have this program that locks my screen whenever I set it. You can setup a hot-key shortcut, to have it lock the comp, and make you enter a password to get back in. This is really helpful for me, because I always feel really shameful after masturbating. I feel like I'm letting down my fiance.. even though during I'm like it's okay.. it's just natural.. but it gets to me..

So anyways, if I begin to, I just lock the screen, get up, maybe exercise just a little bit, grab some water, and come back, and get back to work. (I work full-time from home, so it creates a lot of easy scenarios to masturbate..)

Anyways, I just really wanted to let you know you're certainly not alone, and I admire you putting work into getting rid of this habit. It's certainly natural, but can get very addictive, even getting in the way of starting other relationships, or creating problems in the one your in. Best of luck, and god bless!
