EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

Just starting out - read the .pdf manual - distilling the long list of issues into a tap

I've printed out the pages, my question is this:

Do I work on one "problem" at a time (the 3x per day/30 days) or may I do more than one?  I'm reading I should be specific but alot of my trees lead to the same concern.  My Mother verbally abused me and this has caused all types of fears, for example trust issues, feeling unattractive to myself  body issues as well as attracting a partner.  I am also a diagnosed bi-polar all these issues I feel are caused by the main root of the verbal abuse, BUT according to the manual I should be specific.

I'm repeating myself, I apologise... (I also gave up on the tags list, I was starting to check boxes like a mad woman)

This could be a very long list or it could be specific to I am angry at my mother for her verbal abuse which has caused many problems..

     Thoughts? Help?

    TIA!

Look up the "movie technique" on the emofree website.  The first link I found is a good one.

We all have HUGE untapped potential! The limits to EFT are in our limited imaginations! Tap on it!

     I read the tutorial,

I'm still confused or just not understanding, forgive me I'm completely new to this.  I understand about running the movie, the one would be "anger toward my mother for verbal abuse" - too long there is an entire life as a timeline.   That splinters off into mini-movies correct,? Again, these are life issues with no beginning and end.  I DO have 2-3 issues that are time specific, each movie being one of my sore points (no pun intended) do I then work each mini movie?  Do I pick one or do the 3 at one time and, as the manual says, know that fixing one will fix more than one? How do I deal with life long issues? The depression/bi-polar etc.

I'm going through the tutorials so I hope I'm not trying patience with my questions -I'm trying honest! I want this to work and I do understand that specificity is the key to greater success.

    Hi there!

Can I suggest at the stage you are at, would it be possible for you to start off with a practitioner ?

Many practitioners issue ' homework ' and can better explain how you tackle the multi- faceted issues and aspects. Even if its one session.

If this is not possible, please don't leave the group because your enthusiasm is admirable and you are making a tremendous start and that is why the Forum is here,

I just feel it would really  ' kick start ' the whole process and you would then be up and running with it.

Please let us know how you feel and if this is not an appropriate suggestion, come straight back in and we will try to move you on.

    Warmest wishes,

    Marie

Thank you for the warm welcome and invite to stay, I will :)

Unfortunately, I am one of those affected by the labor "issues" in the Entertainment Industry so any financial expenditures that aren't food, rent or utilitites (at this time) are not an option.  Hence all my questions - I am trying to fly solo until the time when a practitioner/teacher is allowed into my budget. So sadly I am not able to kick start without you and the others in the forum kicking me, so to speak.

I'll start with a movie I am able to create - there are 2 that pop out (which I think is what should happen - at least from reading the .pdf)  Do I get extra credit for even reading the pdf prior to all my questions? (kidding, really)

    Thanks again!

    Okay I'm back :)

I found an article about Bundling Baggage which seems to address my clump of Mother issues rather than taking them one by one.  I also want to do abundance (work issues.)  I printed out Palace of Possibilites I'm not reading through that, which brings me to my question:

How much is too much?  Bundling and Abundance - two at the same time okay? not okay?  I'm keeping a notebook to track feelings etc and even just seeing some of them in writing is cathartic.  I can't wait to see/feel the results when EFT kicks in.

I can see the links (forest from the trees? trees from the forest?) of one emotion or problem to a greater one, I'm guessing I start with the bigger one and the smaller ones topple?

Off to read more, in between (American) football (Go Giants!)
