EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

shouder neck and head pain - connected?

    HI

I have had some really useful pointers from the diseases section.

Im also looking for some help with pains i have in my body.

Basically i have a ache/pain in my left shoulder (behind the shoulder blade i think) which i have had for about 2 years ( i think repetative strain from a temp office job) this i have grown used to, have had physio on it but not much good. recently it has started causing me pain in my left arm and pains in my neck. even more recentl i have been getting really bad headaches that feel like emense pressure and make me nearly faint whenever i stand up(last 10 days). im guessing they are all connected, went to the doctor today who was less than helpful and only suggested ibuprofen (this hasnt worked in the past)

do i need to work on each pain one at a time or one after the other? obviously the headaches have  been a much more recently thing so prob easier to clear than the shoulder. arethere any thoughts i should try andlink the shoulder issue too as traditional massgae/physio hasnt helped so maybe its releated to something?

the pains are always there in the background but also flare up worse at times for no apparent reason. am still working office based which maybe doesnt help with posture etc....

     thank you :)

    Hi Cara,

The way that I would approach your situation:

    • assess the pain level in your neck—give it a SUD (intensity) level

    • assess the pain level in your left shoulder—give it a SUD (intensity) level

    • assess the pain level in your head (where is the pain specifically)—give it a SUD (intensity) level

Was there a traumatic event that happened before the pain started? Was there some kind of upset before or around the time of getting the temp job. If there was, I would get in touch with the emotion that you have about that event and check the SUD level for that emotion. Then I would use the movie technique and clear the emotion that you associate with the event. Then I would check the SUD level in your neck, shoulder, and head

Something you can look at is the feelings that you had when you got your temp job as another possibility. Do you have any negative feelings about your work or going to work?

According to Louise Hay in You Can Heal Your Life, shoulders “Represent our ability to carry out experiences in life joyously. We make life a burden by our attitude.” If this hits home, you could use:

    • Even though life is a burden, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

So, if you work on feelings and traumatic events—then you can check your achy areas and see if there is an improvement. You could work on the individual aches, one at a time, too. Something to understand about EFT, is there is no one way.

Cara, please let me know if this helps at all.

    Gratefully yours,

    JoAnn
