EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

  • Clearing up the Rumors

    This blog is for those concerned about the poorly based rumors that (1) Gary is taking away your EFT freedoms, (2) no one can use the EFT brand name any more unless they do only "Official EFT" and/or (3) Gary is going to sue anyone who does not comply with his "restrictions".

    These are all absurd.  I never said any of them, publically or privately.  I have never even thought them.  In fact, they are the exact opposite of the truth.

    These rumors apparently came from misinterpretations of the EFT Open Hand Policy.  These interpretations were then exaggerated out of proportion and spread around the internet.  The new MTT (Meridian Tapping Techniques) group is seen by some to be the savior from these false dangers. Some are even considering giving up their usage of the well established EFT brand name in favor of the enthusiastic promises of MTT.  In fact, no saving is necessary because the rumors and so-called restrictions are but a puff of smoke. While MTT may well have an honored place in this movement, it is not necessary to give up the highly recognized EFT name and make an "EFT to MTT switch" based on these rumors and resulting fears.

    The EFT Open Hand Policy is a one-of-a-kind work in progress whose design is to give you unprecedented freedoms while still maintaining the essential integrity and credibility of EFT. It is being gradually revised to make sure it is clear.  Eventually, it will be replaced by a concise document that reflects all the inputs I am currently collecting.  While the current EFT Open Hand Policy should be read in its entirety, let me summarize its main points:

    1. All previous freedoms are still intact.  You are still encouraged to create EFT oriented websites, books, workshops, innovations, etc. The only difference is that you are also asked for a routine acknowledgement that www.emofree.com is the main source for EFT. Properly done (see below), this allows you to attractively distinguish your unique offerings while respecting your customers with full information.  It also provides a courtesy to emofree.com as well as to other EFT'ers on our team.  It gives us a united front for the world to see and allows us to work together synergistically as teammates.  It also helps establish your credibility as this sort of acknowledgement is common courtesy. To eliminate it may be considered poor taste in the eyes of some customers.

    Further, you are encouraged to make this acknowledgement creatively using your own words so that you can attractively portray your offerings.  Several examples are given in our Open Hand Policy for your use.  Here's another:

    "My EFT approach is unique, yet draws heavily upon core EFT principles as provided at www.emofree.com.  I have hundreds of [students, clients] who love my XXXX innovative approach to these astonishing techniques.  Here is what they say....[include testimonials]"

    Tip: ask your webmaster to includeTarget="_Blank" in your link because doing so will open emofree.com in a new window.  This way you will never lose a customer because  the relatively few customers that actually click on this link will always be returned to your site.

    2. Obsolete EFT credentials must be replaced:  A major concern here is the EFT-ADV designation.  This designation portrays that one is "Advanced" but yet the knowledge to pass it consists of a relatively easy test on the second of our nine DVD sets.  Through no fault of the holders of this designation, it has become highly misleading and could serve to erode the credibility of anyone using it.  It is no longer advanced and has been rendered embarrasingly outdated by our newer DVD sets.

    For instance, the "Advanced" implications of EFT-ADV do not reflect the major advances in (1) The Palace of Possibilities DVD set (writing on your walls, tail enders, relationship work, doing business with EFT), (2) The Specialty Series DVD sets (wherein 13 EFT experts show how they use EFT in specialized areas including trauma, relationships, allergies and addictions), (3) The Borrowing Benefits DVD set (a solid new discovery allowing the effective use of EFT for entire groups) as well as (4) The Serious Diseases and (5) Mastering EFT DVD sets (featuring highly sophisticated uses of EFT for the most complex issues imaginable).

    The fault for this regrettable problem is mine because I should have done something about this (and other outdated credentials) years ago.  However, the problem has been solved by the introduction of our long overdue EFT Certification program.  This allows everyone to have ONE source of credible and recognizable certification and eliminates the problem of having a hodgepodge of credentials from a variety of sources.  This is vitally important to us all as our credibility into the future will help us stand out when the Big Doors (corporations, military, schools, medicine, sports, etc.) come knocking.

    To pave the way for this opportunity and so that no one is disadvantaged, I am happy to announce that the $300 fee for the EFTCert-I designation is now being waived for anyone with previous EFT credentials, including EFT-CC, EFT-ADV, Workshop Levels 1, 2, 3, etc.  Details are given in the Certification section of the EFT website.

    Hope this helps.  I will be pleased to read your comments to this blog.  It will help me formulate a workable solution for everyone.

    Hugs, Gary

    PS: A more detailed discussion of these issues is given in an 84 minute recorded discussion wherein Betty Moore-Hafter and Jade Barbee interview me on these topics.

  • Some Clarifying Thoughts on The EFT Open Hand Policy

    There has been some confusion regarding our recent Open Hand Policy and so I spent about two hours with Betty Moore-Hafter and Jade Barbee in an effort to understand the issues.  The result is the email below that they sent out to their colleagues.  It should clarify many things.  More clarification to come.  My apologies for any misunderstandings.

    Hi Gary,

    Thanks so much for the talk with Jade and me. We appreciate that you read our suggestions and considered our ideas. I believe that the whole discussion did help to highlight where some of the problems have been, and we think that the changes you made to the wording of your policy are really going to help.

    I sent the following report on our talk out to my Rising Sun EFT Newsletter group. Jade has sent it to many of his contacts as well. I also posted it on my blog, http://www.creativeeft.com/blog/ It is our hope that this information will be passed along and will clear up a lot of the rumors, confusion and disinformation that have been floating around.

    We've already heard back from many people with profuse thanks! People are very relieved to hear the truth and understand your intentions and get practical information about how to adjust their presentations of themselves so that they are in compliance. So many people have been uncomfortable, just not knowing what all this meant. We've had a number of people tell us that this is the most thoughtful, balanced and clear communication they're received about what is going on, that our "calm clarity and heart" (in the words of one) are really appreciated.

    Let's stay in touch. Jade and I would love to have another talk with you soon. Whatever we can do to help move things forward in the best way, we're available.

    love,
    Betty

    Talk With Gary Craig - Clarifications

    Dear _____

    I recently was in touch with Gary Craig in an attempt to get some clarity on his Open Hand Policy. Many rumors were flying around and there has been a lot of fear and confusion. After my first conversation with Gary, in which he clarified that we can of course continue to call ourselves "EFT Practitioners" (which some people had doubted), Jade Barbee and I decided to put some things into writing and ask Gary to discuss our concerns with us. He was very receptive to this discussion and I believe that a lot has been cleared up. I want to share with all of you what we found out. First, Jade's report on our talk, then the clarifications that came from this.

    From Jade:

    As personal EFT friends and colleagues, I wanted to let you all know that Betty Moore-Hafter and I had the opportunity to speak with Gary Craig on Saturday for almost 2 hours.  Long story short, we went through the most worrisome language in the Open Hand Policy together in an attempt to clear up misconceptions and provide clarity for EFT practitioners in light all the big changes and events of late. The good news is that Gary voluntarily made improvements "on the spot", specifically to what we felt to be the most troublesome language --- most notably, the part where he continually said, in essence, *you may practice EFT, just let people know it's not endorsed by EFT,* which was driving so many of us crazy and pushing everyone's panic buttons.  This language, which was also communicated in his blogpost, implied a new proprietary level of ownership. If, as it appeared, Gary was claiming ownership of EFT so completely and in a new way, what was left for me as both an EFT pra
     ctitioner and innovator?

    I'll be honest with you. The conversation was quite tough. We offered what we believed were some valuable creative solutions. Gary listened but, for his own reasons, pretty much resisted most of our creative ideas. However, in the course of our discussion, something very interesting and positive unfolded. Although at times the conversation felt difficult, we took from it an unexpected feeling of peace, not because we necessarily got "what we wanted", but because he genuinely stood firm with levity and effectively communicated to us an important consistency in his message.  We also felt a degree of mutual understanding.

    Our understanding from talking with Gary is that he is mainly concerned that we share our work ethically and honor the symbiotic relationship with Emofree.com. In other words, as long as I don't pretend that EFT begins and ends with me and I point those I attract to Emofree for core EFT training, I can innovate to my heart's desire and share my version of EFT in my own unique way -- provided that I distinguish it from the standardized EFT training on the DVDs. This solid ground, which Gary is demonstrating his willingness to clarify, feels good to us. And since we've put quite a bit of equity into EFT, as many of you have, we have every reason to continue to identify as EFT practitioners.

    In light of all the recent questions around the dissolution of the Masters program, the new certification and the Tapping World Summit, it was somehow heartening to know that his biggest concerns are literally incapsulated here. I was impressed that he literally jumped at the chance to change the wording in several parts of the policy.

    When we approached Gary as not-yet-certified practitioners, it was from this position of wanting to certify, but unsure just what our common ground with him was. As Betty noted, and I too feel deeply "He gets it, Jade. He's not going to pull the rug out from under us".

    From Jade & Betty:

    Here are our concerns and, to the best of our understanding, the clarifications we received. Gary Craig's complete Open Hand Policy is available at: http://www.emofree.com/FAQ/open-hand-rights.htm

    1) There had been confusion concerning a part of the Open Hand Policy asking us not to use EFT as "letters behind someone's name". Some people were interpreting that to mean that we could no longer call ourselves EFT Practitioners. That is not the case. Gary added a new line to the policy to clarify:

    "Non-certified EFT practitioners may use the term "EFT Practitioner" in their signature lines so long as it appears under your name and not after it as typical credentials might appear (e.g. Joseph Moore, PhD, MD, MFT, etc.). Thus an acceptable use of EFT Practitioner for a non-certified practitioner would look as follows...

    Joseph Moore, PhD
    EFT Practitioner"

    2) The confusing language of  *feel free to practice EFT but make it clear you don't represent Gary Craig and EFT*  has been changed all through the document. Now it reads as follows:

    " In essence, I wish to grant the freedom to ethically practice EFT, give workshops and create books, etc. so long as it is made clear to the public that your EFT activity represents YOUR own ideas, angles, versions etc. and not necessarily those of Gary Craig or www.emofree.com."

    3) The one reference to "official EFT" (which had been in quotes) has been changed to "all about EFT"

    "The challenge is that the workshop students expect to learn all about EFT from you, even though you cannot realistically deliver it. Why not?"

    [Gary goes on to say that this is because you can't cover all the material in the DVDs, etc.]

    4) People have felt put off by the wording of the disclaimer Gary is requesting. We found out that we may be creative in how we word this. Personally we're not fond of the negative language of "does not necessarily represent". Well, we don't have to use those words. When we ran Jade's new disclaimer (below) past Gary, he said, "Beautiful." He had no objections to either of these.

    This is Jade's: "My EFT approach is unique, yet draws heavily upon core EFT principles. For complete, standardized EFT training (including the free weekly EFT Newsletter, the free manual and inexpensive learning DVDs) visit Emofree.com"

    This is Betty's: "Betty's creative approach to EFT is her own, yet it is deeply grounded in the core EFT principles as taught by Gary Craig. For complete EFT training, including the free manual and low-cost DVD sets, please see www.emofree.com".

    5) Some people have been worried about their website names which include EFT -- are they still okay? Yes. We are welcome to continue using EFT to designate our work as long as we include the disclaimer Gary is asking for. For instance, Betty's www.CreativeEFT.com is fine, as is Carna Zacharias-Miller's www.MagicalEFT.com

    6) People have thought that Gary is restricting us to "basic EFT" or the "original version" with the 9 gamut and hand points, as if this were the only "real" EFT. This is not the case! On the contrary, creative work based on skillful EFT is encouraged. Anyone who leaves the core EFT principles behind and changes things beyond recognition would no longer be doing EFT, of course, but otherwise, we can practice EFT in our own way as freely as ever. For instance, we talked with Gary about our Inner Theater approach. We believe that the EFT we do within this approach is firmly grounded in the core principles we learned from the DVDs -- yet Inner Theater is a unique and different way of applying EFT. Gary is fine with this. As you may have noticed, he featured Jade's article on Inner Theater in a recent newsletter. Another example: Betty's article on Creative Language was featured in the two new books Gary put out this year, EFT for PTSD and EFT for Back Pain. Our creative inno
     vations are encouraged and valued.

    7) We urged Gary to more clearly acknowledge the value of the symbiotic relationship that has always existed between the founder of EFT and the dedicated practitioners who have furthered the development of EFT. It has in so many ways been a co-creation with contributions from us all in the form of case histories, personal EFT stories, new ideas for the art of delivery, etc. These contributions have always been valued and they still are (as demonstrated in the EFT newsletter). We hope that this will be made more clear in the policy.

    A rewriting of the Open Hand Policy is forthcoming and Gary will be considering our suggestions as well as those of others. Please do submit your constructive ideas and concerns to temp@emofree.com. Again, you can read through the existing policy at: http://www.emofree.com/FAQ/open-hand-rights.htm

    We hope this information is helpful to you. Please pass it on. I'll post this message on my blog for easy access, http://www.creativeeft.com/blog/ We've just wanted to have truth, clarity and real information. When we all have that, we can make our own decisions based on what is right for us.

    love,
    Betty

  • The trophies that really matter

    An influential man in your life died recently.  His name was Coach Ben Hammerschmidt (Coach Ben).  He was my high school baseball & football coach and, whether you are aware of it or not, he was YOUR coach as well ... and still is. Why? Because his principles have made EFT what it is.  They permeate every corner of it.

    Let me explain.

    In my teenage years, Coach Ben was the centerpiece of my life. At first, I didn't get his true teachings because I thought pursuing trophies was what life was all about.  Excel in sports. Win some blue ribbons. Gather hardware and statues for your mantlepiece so you can display your greatness in the years to come.  Do so and people will admire you. They will will go "oooh" and "ahhh" at your trophies and will love you.

    Sigh!

    Coach Ben helped me get those trophies and even helped me get a Stanford football scholarship.  For that I am forever grateful.  He was a disciplined man, as a coach must be.  But he was also a man with an open hand and a soft side that understood the true meaning of his job. He understood giving and fair play and integrity.  For him, life wasn't about trophies or money or any of that stuff.  It was about helping young men along life's many paths.  It was about the power of teamwork and how pulling together brought rewards that individual prima donnas could not achieve on their own.

    He lived these principles without really talking much about them.  His life was an example for us all and touched multitudes by his presence. He was love personified in a sturdily built German body.

    It took me many years and a lot of maturing to finally get Coach Ben's true message. EFT is built on that message because the "trophies" of EFT have nothing to do with certificates on the wall, awards, money, fame and the like. Our trophies are all about...

    • healing and spiritual connection
    • emotional freedom and walking out of our own prisons
    • turning anger into forgiveness and replacing pain with peace
    • love and making sure everyone has access to the EFT process in a quality and consistent way
    • the comraderie within our growing EFT Community and the teamwork that Coach Ben taught so beautifully.

    These are the trophies that really matter.

    Saturday, May 23, 2009 is the date of Coach Ben's memorial service in my home town of Riverside, California.  I am honored to have been invited by his family to address hundreds of his athletes and friends by reciting a poem that I wrote for his retirement dinner 30 years ago.  I put it on the internet and, if you wish, you can view my Coach Ben Tribute now.

    Sooner or later, we all come to the end our lives.  When people attend your memorial service which of your life's "trophies" will they remember?  Will they even care about the hardware on your mantlepiece or the certificates on your wall?  Or will they remember the times you made a difference in the lives of others?  Your softness, your smiles, your encouragement.

    What better time than now to touch our brothers and sisters and collect a few more of those trophies that really matter.

    Love, Gary

  • EFT and the Swine Flu

    Will EFT help with the Swine Flu?  Probably.  In fact, this brief post may represent a profound answer to this problem.  It's drug-free and simple.  However, please recall that I have no medical training and thus I am simply giving you my experience.

    That being said, I have personally used EFT 5 or 6 times for flu symptoms over the last dozen years and, in each case, my symptoms lasted a few hours rather than a week or two.  Some symptoms vanished in minutes.

    I'm not alone here as we have similar reports on our website.  Just enter "flu" into our on site search engine and read the articles.

    Nothing magic about the EFT process for this problem.  Start with simple approaches like, "Even though I have this [sore throat, headache, lethargic feeling, etc]...."  If that doesn't work, look for recent recent, resentments, guilts, and other negative emotions that may be compromising your immune system.  That's it.  Pretty simple.

    Should you get vaccinated?  That's a medical question and one that I'm not qualified to answer.  In my experience, though, EFT is likely to be useful whether or not one goes the vaccination route.

    Hope this helps, Gary

  • Can you spend 5 minutes to help bring about relief for cancer and other diseases?

    IMPORTANT NOTE:  Although I write this in a free speech effort to promote world healing, I am not a physician and have no medical background whatsoever.  Always seek qualified medical help for serious diseases.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The headline of a 4/24/09 New York Times article reads....
     In Long Drive to Cure Cancer, Advances Have Been Elusive
    This well written article by Gina Kolata, laments how the death rate from cancer has improved by only 5% from 1950 to 2005 while over $100 billion was spent in this near-futile effort.
    Similar things could be said about other serious diseases for which there are apparently no cures (at least not via the medical approach).  I speak here of Multiple Sclerosis, Scleroderma, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and a long, long, long list of other ailments.
    Could it be that the medical researchers are looking in the wrong place for cures and that's why they are coming up empty handed?  They look where they are taught by the medical schools, of course.  They look at cells and DNA and intricate body chemistry.  They look at blood and body parts and so on.  They act as if the causes involve body chemistry, although they admit to being baffled by the true causes of a long list of diseases.
    Here in the EFT Community we see frequent jaw-dropping evidence that a major cause for serious diseases involves unresolved emotional issues. Many medical researchers don't see that but we have known it here at EFT for a decade. We find with reasonable regularity that people who harbor long term fears, guilt, anger and the like usually improve physically after we EFT the emotional issues away.
    This link between emotions and diseases is also becoming clear in the scientific realm.  The ACE study done by Kaiser points to compelling evidence in this regard.  Here is a brief synopsis of the larger ACE study.
    The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study is a major research study that compares current adult health status to childhood experiences decades earlier. With the cooperation of 17,421 adult Health Plan members ... the ACE Study reveals a powerful relation between our emotional experiences as children and our adult emotional health, physical health, and major causes of mortality in the United States.
    So what does this mean to the EFT Community?  How can we help sail the EFT ship into the medical harbor?  Easy!  Write Gina Kolata, the author of the New York Times article.  She is a science writer and is no doubt looking for useful stories.  Give her loads of input.  If she only gets one email from us, it probably won't mean much.  But if she gets multitudes, we will be hard to ignore.
    One of our biggest assets is our numbers.  Together we have much more influence than we think.  If this effort with Gina Kolata doesn't get her attention, then so be it.  However, this effort WILL get the attention of another media writer on another day.  Together we can eventually get some of the world's largest publications to feature EFT.
    To write Gina:
    1. Go to http://www.nytimes.com/gst/emailus.html and start your message with Dear Gina Kolata.
    2.  Create an intro regarding your experiences with EFT and thenCopy and Paste this message below your intro.
    3.  Press the "Click to Send Message" button.
    That's it.  Five minutes on your part may help bring healing to thousands or millions.
    Love, Gary
  • My final comments on the EFT World Summit issue
    My gratitude for your many responses as they have created this opportunity to share my perspective in a positive light.
    But first, a little history.
    When EFT was first created in the ‘90's, it was but a dream in my mind ... an inspiration ... a spiritual undertaking that could bring healing to the world in ways previously unknown.  Further, most people could do the basics for themselves and the costs would be minimal.  EVERYONE could use it ... from the ultra rich to the poorest people on the planet.  It is an exquisite thought ... and one that I cherish.
    I imagined a world where anger, greed and trauma would eventually be replaced by love and cooperation.  This is possible, of course, but only if we can neutralize our resentments, fears, etc. with a tool like EFT.
    It is also necessary to have cooperation among multitudes (you).  Without a cohesive band of dedicated souls working TOGETHER, this dream would lapse into chaos.
    So the EFT Community was born in 1997 with an email list of 20 people.  It has been a beautiful experience to watch that initial seed grow into rose gardens and majestic forests.  Today, even though we have never advertised, our email list has grown to 440,000 and the free EFT Manual has been downloaded over 1 million times.  We are now appearing regularly in the media and are developing an impressive array of validating research.
    In short, we have hit critical mass and the EFT phenomenon is poised to explode worldwide.  I expect we will have a commanding presence in the world within 5 years.
    But this would be impossible without a cohesive EFT Community.  One man cannot do this alone.  It takes all of us.  It takes your dedication and enthusiasm and your joint voices to echo this message to every corner of the world.  You are doing this from San Francisco to London to New Zealand and beyond.  I sit in gratitude and awe at what you are doing and have been doing so for over a decade.
    There is nothing more powerful than a team that works seamlessly together.  The coach (me) helps guide the team.  I create the plays and provide tools and inspiration.  But the team (you) plays the game.  Our joint accomplishments to date have been stunning.  Together we have provided an ocean of personal peace and healing not to mention the personal satisfactions you have generated for yourselves.
    Life isn't perfect, however, and not everyone is a team player.  That is why I legally registered the terms Emotional Freedom Techniques EFT in the US and elsewhere around the world many years ago.  Initially I did this to keep disreputable interests from registering the terms for themselves.  If I hadn't done this, exploiters would have registered the terms and would now have the right to control use of the terms, potentially interfering with your ability to conduct workshops and use the terms in your websites, books, etc.  They could also put you out of business for trespassing on these terms.
    I have these same rights but, as you know, I choose to use them quite differently.  In my hands, my trademarks are a guiding mechanism.  A rudder to guide this ship into the waters of integrity and spiritual wonderment.  I call it the Open Hand Policy.
    At first the Open Hand Policy gave very wide latitude, asking only that "Emotional Freedom Techniques" and "EFT" be used ethically.  I could not have known in advance what liberties people would take with this generous permission and so I waited and watched how things unfolded.  Over time I noticed that people were using the EFT logo improperly so I adjusted the Open Hand Policy to create appropriate rules.  Later, there were questionable activities regarding workshops, websites and practitioner listings associated with EFT.  Accordingly, the rules were adjusted again.  More recently, we developed an official EFT Certification program to bring consistency to the credentialing process and adjusted the rules yet again.
    Whenever I make these necessary adjustments they are always made for the overall good of the EFT Community.  That's what must be understood by everyone.  Without them, chaos would reign and our team would fall apart.
    I am always amused at how these adjustments lead some folks to say, "Gary has changed."  Not so.  It is the EFT landscape that is ever changing.  This is inevitable as we grow.  For example, you live in a country where the laws are forever changing to reflect the changing social, financial and political atmosphere.  Where would your country be without these laws?  Would you like to live in a country where everyone could do as they pleased without any rules?
    I am pleased with the overall acceptance and compliance with our Open Hand Policy.  Most people recognize both the legal and ethical need to comply and I have yet to take any one to court for enforcement.  That doesn't mean that everyone has complied yet.  Some people, for example, don't read our newsletter or website and aren't aware that they are out of compliance.  Later this year, I expect to assemble a team to bring these rules to the attention of everyone.
    I appreciate Mr. Ortner's cooperation and understanding in the matter of the proper use of the EFT trademarks and agreeing not to mis-use the EFT trademarks in the future (i.e. using another term such as "tapping").  He has graciously even agreed to pass his new material by me to ensure he is in compliance with our policies.  Accordingly, I consider this whole EFT World Summit matter as a "mistake of enthusiasm" and am letting it be.  Investing more energy on this serves no useful purpose and distracts us from moving forward with the many exciting projects in front of us.
    Onward.
    Love, Gary
    PS:  There are a some clarifications needed regarding the previous communications.
    First, I was not objecting to anyone making money as a result of selling EFT products.  I have promoted this ability for years, so long as it is done ethically and according to our Open Hand Policy.  My point was not that Mr. Ortner was earning money but rather HOW it was being done ... AND ... that these marketing methods were being done under a presumed EFT banner.
    Second, some concluded that I was casting dispersions on the integrity of the presenters.  This was not my intention and I apologize for any misunderstanding.
    Third, Mr. Ortner DID offer me a place on the EFT World Summit.  This was done after the announcement was made and after I objected.  I declined his offer as my appearance could be seen as an endorsement.
    Finally, our Open Hand Policy is a work in progress and I will be coming out with a significant revision later this year.  In the meantime, here is the current version.
    http://www.emofree.com/FAQ/open-hand-rights.htm
  • Have you wondered why Gary isn’t part of The EFT® World Summit?
    Regretfully, this event was launched without my knowledge and with the original impression that it was "official" and that I had approved it.  In fact the promoter, Mr. Nicolas Ortner, has since admitted to my attorney that he believed I wouldn't approve it and that's why he concealed it from me.  As a result, Mr. Ortner has agreed not to promote EFT again (except for his Try it on Everything Movie for which I have given permission).
    This letter is written with a sigh.  The EFT Community has grown monumentally and my estimate is that it will be 10 times its current size within 5 years.  With that growth comes exciting opportunities for the EFT Community as well as new challenges and the need to maintain consistency in how EFT is taught and proliferated throughout the world.  Without this effort, EFT would be spread chaotically and the whole movement would grind to a halt.  That's why our Open Hand Policy continually evolves to reflect the changing landscape.
    It would be nice if everyone was a team player but, alas, the world doesn't always work that way.  In Mr. Ortner's case, this is the third time he has interrupted our movement with unwanted projects and thus, for the good of the EFT Community, I have to finally bring understanding of these issues to the table.  This should bring clarity to this problem and help us all move forward together.
    Let me discuss this event and the various misleading items involved.
    Misleading item #1: It is an official EFT event:  The mere title gives the impression that this event is somehow sanctioned by EFT.  As mentioned, though, it was launched outside my awareness and thus the growing popularity of EFT was pirated as a means to siphon people into this questionable event. This works against the EFT Community and not with it.
    I am happy to entertain major projects from the EFT Community because that is an exciting way to get us working together.  To go behind my back, however, and create a major EFT event on one's own, coordinates with nothing.  It's like opening an umbrella inside a car.  It is useless and just takes up space. I didn't know anything about The EFT World Summit until it was announced.  I heard about it when you did.
    When I first learned of this event, I insisted that Mr. Ortner change the title to Tapping World Summit so that no one was misled into believing that it was sponsored by EFT.  Accordingly, he changed the title on the headline but left all other references to EFT World Summit untouched (about 50 of them).  This was a cosmetic wave of the hand to my request and could have been easily corrected with a Find & Replace tool.
    As a result, the public continues to know of this event as the EFT World Summit and not the Tapping World Summit, as we had agreed. At the time of our discussions, I was never made aware of all the other pages and the numerous promotional emails that were to emanate from this event.  Thus I had no way of assessing how thoroughly this event was going to be improperly heralded as The EFT World Summit. This is contrary to the best interests of the EFT Community and causes me nothing but grief in trying to manage all the questions.  It creates many unwanted surprises and distracts me from properly sailing this ship.
    Misleading item #2: It's free!  It's free ONLY if you listen at prescribed times.  Otherwise, you must pay up to $197 to get this package.  This is a classic bait & switch type of marketing subterfuge used worldwide.  Mr. Ortner knows you are not likely to be present at each session and is hoping that you will opt to pay $197 to solve this problem.  You are enticed through the door with a free come-on and then told you need to pay $197 for a hypish "one-time Special Upgrade Package offer."  All this under the EFT name.  This is NOT the proper image for the EFT Community.  We are going to great lengths and expense to produce quality research and a first class image for our long term acceptance by the public.  To interject these semi-insulting marketing tactics just dilutes our efforts.  It makes us look schlocky.
    You NEVER see this sort of selling on the EFT Website because cheesy marketing like this is waaaay outside our ethical boundaries.  On our website, the EFT Manual is honestly described as giving the EFT basics for free and our DVDs are available at low cost for students who wish to progress further.  Nothing misleading.  No come-ons.  Unfortunately, Mr. Ortner's misleading marketing practice is being done under the EFT banner and thus some will associate it with EFT.  When the EFT Community is compromised like this, it affects us all.
    If this event is advertised as free, then it should be free.  No gimmicks or surprises. It is an easy matter to put the recordings on a website and allow people free access  to them whenever they want.  No need for special upgrade offers or other ways of sneaking into one's pocketbook.  That hypish approach may sell in the short run but it seriously dilutes our reputation in the long run.
    Misleading item #3: EFT Experts???:   You are told that these presenters are Mr. Ortner's "expert team" ... that they will give you never before revealed "secrets" and that the teachers are masters.
    Let's look at the presenters list.  Some of them are my friends and I have high personal respect for them.  But, with some first class exceptions, this group, overall, is NOT what I would choose for an EFT World Summit. With all due respect to the presenters, it is a misleading list. For example:
    • Only 5 of the 17 are EFT Certified. Thus 70% have no official EFT credentials.
    • Three of them have so twisted the EFT process that what they teach is only loosely attached to the EFT principles. This leads inevitably to taking students down misleading paths.
    • I consider 2 of them to be EFT beginners.
    • It is hardly a World summit since 88% of the presenters reside in the U.S.
    • One of them I've never met and know nothing of that person's abilities.
    • Nowhere has Mr. Ortner indicated that he has personally evaluated the skills of any of these presenters. Rather, he is taking them at their word. Even if he did attempt this, he is an EFT novice and is hardly qualified to evaluate the skills of those who are well beyond his own level. It is not likely that these presenters were chosen because of their EFT skills. They were apparently chosen because of their names and their saleability.
    I can't tell you how unfortunate I consider Mr. Ortner's aggressive use of the EFT Brand name to be.  If he continues in this manner, the long term effects on our EFT Community may be substantial, not to mention the consistent drain on my time and energy.  I realize that he has agreed not to promote EFT in the future and I thank him for that.
    My regrets for having to write this.  It was no fun.
    Love, Gary
    PS: It is my belief that everyone deserves our compassion, even when they appear to be working against us.  The smoke will no doubt clear one day and then maybe Mr. Ortner will re-join us in a true spirit of Community.  I hope so.
  • "I love ya, man!" - a touching EFT story
    From the story:  "I puddled up inside. Suddenly, nothing else mattered. There it was ... the connection we all strive for but don't know how to voice.  A spiritual experience from the most unlikely of places. What reward could possibly transcend that? I choked back a tear and he could see that he moved me. Actually, we moved each other.  There was a silence between us that allowed the moment to engrave itself on our beings."
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    This is a story about Bob (a Vietnam Vet) and me.  It's a touching story, a sort of "guy thing" that transcends normal expectations.  It's about an unusual affection between two men, despite our conditioning to be tough and not show emotions.  It's about the love and respect that can only come about when we "connect" in that special way ... a spiritual way.

    You can meet Bob on film.  He is one of the vets featured on our 20 minute PTSD video. When I first met him he had daily suicide thoughts and suffered from paranoia.  Most nights he would wake up from his nightmares and swing his fists.  His sheets were wet from sweat every night.  Such is the life of all too many soldiers.

    We had a rocky beginning.  I invited Bob and several other vets to a 5 day "EFT for War Veterans" gathering in San Francisco.  Despite the fact that all expenses were paid, Bob didn't want to come.  He said, "This whole thing is Bull ***!"  I've tried them all.  I've been in and out of psych wards much of my life and I will just be wasting my time.  Besides, I'm afraid of flying and I'm not sitting in a f-----g airplane across the country from Pennsylvania to California." He also said, "I have some memories behind my personal wall and nobody is getting to them."

    So I asked Miguel Vazquez, a Vietnam Vet who I personally helped with his PTSD, to call Bob and preach the EFT Faith.  It worked and Bob reluctantly got on that airplane.  Unbeknownst to him, however, I did several rounds of EFT surrogately for his fear of flying and, of course, he had no problem with the flight.  But that's another story.

    Even though we had 5 EFT experts present in San Francisco, I chose to take Bob under my wing for personal attention.  Despite his vocal abuses about the stupidity of this event, I saw the tenderness underneath.  It's there with most vets.  It's the little boy inside crying out for attention ... for acknowledgement ... for love ... all the while taking shots at anyone who tries to "get close."  In a way, I think we all do this, including me.  I saw him as a challenge and as a brother.  We somehow had something in common.  There was something in Bob that I recognized in me.

    So we started slowly.  We worked on a height phobia and that went poof in 30 minutes.  Then we worked on some "small war memories" and those subsided as well.  After 2 days, he slept the night through.  No nightmares. No sweats. No swinging fists.

    Now I had his attention.  He was relaxed and smiled a lot.  No longer was he critical of this event or EFT.  He didn't understand it, of course, but the results were undeniable.  He softened and the first trickle of our friendship began .  That's how it is with vets.  There are rivers of contained love that can flood souls once the dam has been broken.

    Then we worked on those "memories behind his personal wall."  Despite some difficult moments during the sessions, EFT brought him to peace and those memories have not bothered him since (his paranoia and suicide thoughts have vanished as well).

    Then he turned to me with gratitude written all over his face and gave me the words that echo in my being to this day.  He said...

    "I love ya, man!"

    I puddled up inside.  Suddenly, nothing else mattered.  There it was ...  the connection we all strive for but don't know how to voice.  A spiritual experience from the most unlikely of places.  What reward could possibly transcend that?  I choked back a tear and he could see that he moved me.  Actually, we moved each other.  There was a silence between us that allowed the moment to engrave itself on our beings.

    Bob and I remain friends to this day and we call each other from time to time to catch up.  Sometimes, amidst the pressures of this growing EFT movement, I lose sight of the human reason I am here.  But all I need to do is remember the many "Bob experiences" that I have collected over the years and I am right back on purpose.

    I Love ya, Gary

  • EFT Gratitude Poem

    Today I found myself in "EFT Gratitude Mode" and this poem was the result.  It is all about you so I hope you like it.  You are changing the world are are a treasure to me.  Just keep on being you.

     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I sit here in awe, and the awe's about you,
    A wellspring of friends, with gratitude due.
    Your beauty astounds, as healing you spread,
    Bringing peace and health, with skills thoroughbred.
    From one minute wonders, to difficult cases,
    With love and persistence, you light up those faces.
    For how many hearts, have you lightened the load?
    And how many pains have you sent down the road?
    To our clients and friends, we have given a gift,
    And in the process, our own souls we did lift.
    For what better reward, could anyone claim,
    Than to touch another, with a spiritual aim.
    You are Touching the World, with your presence here,
    And you tug at my heart, as I hold you so dear.
  • Two easy ways to learn EFT
    This instructs Health Professionals and Do-IT-Yourselfer's to use our DVDs efficiently.  Note the caveats included at the end.
    Do you look at the size of our DVD Libraries (140 hours in total) and say, "This is too much!" or "This must be too complicated"?  Many do, at least at first glance.  Actually, they are neither too much nor too complicated.  The proper phrase is "Easy, Fun and Thorough," as a proper look at them will reveal.
    They have been designed to get you started quickly and then move you toward more sophisticated uses as your interest appears.  In one evening, for example, you can have this lifetime tool at your fingertips and you can apply it anytime, anywhere for just about any issue you can name.
    Just read the EFT Manual and watch the first two videos in the EFT Course (part of the EFT Foundational Library),  This will give you a thorough grounding in the basics that you can use immediately on family, friends and clients.  You don't need to attend a class or get someone's approval or take a test.  Nor do you need a college degree.  Just start doing it.  You may stub your toe a time or two at first but a little practice should improve your results quickly.  We have children who use these basics to provide impressive benefits.
    So that's how anyone starts, whether you are a health professional or a do-it-yourself'er.  From here our DVDs will move you well beyond the basics and will take you as far into the sophisticated levels as you choose to go.  There are two easy ways to proceed.  Health professinals should use the first method but do-it-yourself''ers can use either one.
    Easy Procedure #1 -- Proceed through the rest of the DVDs as your time and interest allows.
    Although it is possible to skip around within the DVDs, it is best to view them in order.  Along the way you will gain insights into creative uses of EFT that include Doing EFT over the Phone, EFT for War Veterans with PTSD, The Palace of Possibilities, Specialty Uses of EFT, EFT for Serious Diseases and a fascinating concept called Borrowing Benefits. This list represents about 1/3 of the important contributions these DVDs will make to your success rate.
    While you can buy the DVDs one Library at a time, there is a major discount if you buy them all at once.  Professionals will want them all eventually so proceed as your budget allows.
    Easy Procedure #2 -- Ignore any further instructions and simply tap along with the live sessions contained within the DVDs.  This is called Borrowiing Benefits.
     We have found through years of experience that you can tap along with someone else's issue and still get improvement for your own EVEN THOUGH YOUR ISSUE APPEARS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT FROM THE PERSON ON STAGE.  Example: You may have never been in war so you might think that tapping along with a war veteran's issue would be useless. Not so. That war veteran is likely dealing with trauma, guilt, physical pains, anger, fear feeling violated, etc.  While you may not have had the exact same war experiences, you HAVE had your version of all those issues.  Have you not?
    Accordingly, your system can automatically pick up the necessary parallels and bring you relief while you tap along with a wide variety of issues on your TV screen.  Further, the numerous and diverse sessions available to you on these DVDs are quite entertaining.  There is more humor and human drama in them than in any reality TV show.  I once use this procedure with an audience of 500 people and 499 reported impressive results.
    Interestingly, yoiu can use these "tap along" sessions repeatedly for thousands of issues.  And, as you do this, you will gradually learn the fine points of EFT.  Why? Because they are demonstrated repeatedly in the sessions.  With this type of exposure, you can't help but expand your sophistication with this method.
    You can apply this process using only the sessions contained in the EFT Foundational Library.  However, you will have a much wider diversity of sessions at your disposal (and you will learn much more) if you buy all 3 Libraries at the same time.  A large discount applies for this group purchase so proceed as you budget dictates.
    Caveats
    The internet is loaded with many "quickie" forms of EFT that give the impression you can learn all the EFT you need by attending a workshop or by viewing a few minues of online videos or by following the instructions following a tapping points diagram.  This is inaccurate.  None of these things (not even my own workshops) can come anywhere close to covering all the material in our DVDs.
    On the other hand, there is something to be said for the hands on nature and supervisorial features of a quality EFT workshop.  These features cannot be provided by our DVDs and so I encourage workshops done along these lines.  Please know that I have not trained any workshop presenters and thus I cannot endorse any of them.
    There are two types of workshops that I encourage, neither of which replace our DVDs: (1) Those that offer condensed versions of EFT (and state that's what they are offering) and (2) Those that augment what is taught in our DVDs -- e.g. specialized approaches for things like weight loss, relationships, etc.  I have provided an ethical and common sense document along these lines.
  • "Will you give this to my Daddy?"
    This touching and patriotic story has been circulating on the internet.  It's message is powerful so I thought I would include it in this blog.  The author is unknown.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Last week I was in Atlanta , Georgia attending a conference. While I
    was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me
    beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed
    one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.

    Moving thru the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camos. As they
    began heading to their gate, everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly
    to their feet with their hands waving and cheering.

    When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and
    cheered for, it hit me.  I'm not alone.  I'm no t the only red-blooded
    American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their
    families.

    Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young
    unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so
    we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal.

    Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our
    service men and women, a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old ran
    up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said 'hi.'

    The little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy
    fo r her.

    The young soldier, who didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself,
    s aid he would try and what did she want to give to her daddy. Then
    suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the
    biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

    The mother of the little girl, who said her da ughter's name was
    Courtney , told the young soldier that her husband was a Marine and had
    been in Iraq for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her
    daughter Courtney missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.

    When this temporarily single mom was done explaining her situation, all
    of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second. Then one of the
    other service m en pulled out a military-looking walkie-talkie. They
    started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

    After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to
    Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he
    told me to give this to you.' He then hugged this little girl that he
    had just met and gave her a kiss on t he cheek. He finished by saying
    'your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and
    he is coming home very soon.'

    The mom at this point wa s crying almost uncon trollably and as the young
    soldier stood to his feet, he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was
    standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event.

    As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people
    resumed their applause. As I stood there applauding and looked around,
    there were very few dry eyes, including my own. That young soldier in
    one last act of se lflessness, turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney
    with a tear rolling down his ch eek.

    We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and
    thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it's
    good to be an American.

  • EFT: The Universal Healing Tool That Modern Medicine Has Missed

    For those who would like a quality introduction to EFT, here is an article that will soon appear in a new book, “101 Great Ways to Improve Your Health” by David Riklan and Dr. Joseph Cilea of Self-Growth.com.  My gratitude to CJ Puotinen for helping me write it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    New Discovery Takes Chinese Medicine to a New Level
    Thousands of years ago, physicians in China mapped the body’s electrical system. They charted fourteen energy paths, or meridians, and documented how stimulating specific points along those paths released energy blocks, restored the normal flow of Chi, or healing energy, and improved health.
    Acupuncture, in which very thin needles are inserted at precise locations, is one way to achieve this result. Acupressure, in which massage or pressure stimulates the same points, is another.
    But until recently, no one realized that tapping on key acupuncture points while focusing on a specific problem could eliminate or significantly reduce physical, mental, or emotional symptoms.
    That’s why Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is such an exciting discovery.
    EFT’s underlying premise is that the true cause of every negative thought and most physical symptoms is an energy block along one or more of the body’s meridians. The combination of tapping and mental focus releases both the energy block and the problem it causes. No matter what they worry about, people of all ages, including small children, can change their minds from stressed to relaxed and improve their health and happiness, usually in less time than it takes to read this chapter.
    Versatile and Widely Accepted
    At first I didn’t realize how versatile EFT would become or how dramatically it transforms physical as well as emotional symptoms. Then the reports began to arrive. Whenever someone asked whether EFT works on a particular condition, such as allergies, high blood pressure, colds and flu, indigestion, arthritis, asthma, insomnia, sprains, or anything else, my answer was always the same: try it, and let me know what happens.
    Soon, thousands of people with no special training were sharing their results. They had tapped and lost weight, stopped smoking, recovered in minutes from muscle sprains, chased migraine headaches away, stopped pain, and recovered from all types of illness or injury.
    Many medical doctors and licensed health care practitioners have adopted EFT and use it routinely. Their patients often recover without the drugs or surgery they were scheduled to receive, or they heal faster, or chronic conditions that persisted for years suddenly improve or disappear.
    Physical therapists working with athletes report that sports performance improves whenever EFT is part of the treatment. Many amateur and professional athletes use EFT to increase their stamina and coordination and to prevent injury. In fact, quite a few have used EFT to significantly improve their performance in everything from golf, baseball, bowling, soccer, or gymnastics to running a marathon.
    Medicine’s Major Miss
    What excites me most about EFT is its application to physical health and wellness. I’m convinced more than ever that modern medicine has walked right by a major contributor to chronic and acute diseases. Our unresolved angers, fears, and traumas show up in our physical bodies and manifest as rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and hundreds of other illnesses.
    Just about everyone knows this intuitively. Whenever Los Angeles physician Eric Robins, MD, shows patients how to do EFT, he explains that past traumas can be stored in muscles and organs in the body and that releasing past events and all the emotions they generate may alleviate physical symptoms. Dr. Robins reports that most patients grasp this concept at once, and as soon as they tap away their anger, frustration, or unhappy memories, their symptoms improve.
    Psychologists have always known that there are powerful connections between mind and body, but conventional talk therapy seldom cures anything, and neither do psychoactive drugs.
    But balancing the body’s energy can help cure everything, and it’s as simple as tapping on your head and torso while focusing on the problem. As Dr. Robins explains, this simple procedure releases or neutralizes the illness’s underlying cause, and as soon as that happens, the illness itself disappears.
    Ever since I discovered how simple and effective EFT can be, I’ve been a man on a mission. So far, 350,000 people have downloaded my free EFT manual (it gives all the basics), my free online newsletter goes to several hundred thousand subscribers, and more than thirty books have been written about EFT. To help spread the word, those who purchase my inexpensive instructional DVDs have my written permission to make one hundred copies of each disc to share with others. Thousands of EFT practitioners around the world teach classes and work with clients. These practitioners include nurses, doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, physical therapists, nutritionists, clinical psychologists, licensed social workers, and counselors of every description.
    No technique or procedure works for everyone, but by all accounts, approximately 80 percent of those who try EFT for a specific problem experience significant results. That’s a stunning statistic.
    In Most Cases, Try EFT First
    EFT has come a long way in ten years, but it’s not even a blip on conventional medicine’s radar. When it is noticed, it’s often relegated to the “support therapy” category, something to be used later, after conventional treatments. I hope that will soon change. Unless there is a medical emergency that requires immediate attention, EFT should be the first treatment that doctors offer. This, in my observation, will dramatically reduce the need for drugs, surgery, or radiation. Even in emergencies, such as accidents or injuries, EFT can be extremely helpful, for it helps people think clearly while reducing pain and discomfort. In all situations, it speeds recovery and healing.
    To satisfy my curiosity about EFT’s effectiveness in the treatment of serious diseases, over the last two years, I traveled to different cities giving three-day seminars, in which I worked onstage with actual patients. As a result, I know more than ever that EFT is a truly universal healing tool. The same basic approach that treats diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome, and multiple chemical sensitivities works as well for eyesight, muscular dystrophy, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, allergies, pulled hamstring muscles, high blood pressure, and heart disease. And when it comes to fears, phobias, and anxiety, EFT is in a class by itself.
    EFT is so new that it’s still evolving. I encourage practitioners and newbies alike to experiment—to try it on everything. It’s so versatile that you can use it on yourself, others, and animals. Some have even used it on plants, cars, and computers. It makes sense that if your energy is balanced, everything inside you and everything around you benefits.
    I hope that everyone who reads this will be curious enough to try EFT. It’s easy to learn, easy to do, and can literally save your life.
    About the Author
    EFT was introduced in 1995 by Gary Craig, a Stanford engineer in lifelong pursuit of personal well-being. He recognized at a young age that the quality of his thoughts were mirrored in the quality of his life and has been intensely interested in personal improvement ever since. He has been self-taught in this field, seeking only those procedures that, in his opinion, produced results. EFT is his latest finding, but he also has high regard for NLP, in which he is a certified master practitioner. He is an ordained minister through the Universal Church of God in southern California, which is nondenominational and embraces all religions. He is a dedicated student of A Course in Miracles and approaches his work with a decidedly spiritual perspective. However, there is no specific spiritual teaching connected to EFT or its practitioners. You can learn more at the EFT Web site: http://www.emofree.com .
  • An Outrageous EFT Idea - EFT should become a Cosmic Law
    Note:  Outrageous EFT Ideas are designed to initiate thinking outside the box.  They are launching pads for innovative thinkers and, properly used, will propel our imaginations into new territory.  Please comment only on what exciting new vistas they inspire and toss any thoughts like "this won't work" in the trash.
    EFT should become a Cosmic Law
    So check it out.  EFT's results as a self-calming technique are legendary and every seasoned EFT'er can fill encyclopedias with pristine examples of this feature.  With impressive consistency, EFT converts upsets into tranquility and usually does so in moments.
    But despite the striking benefits of this self-calming feature, it is usually confined to EFT sessions for "bringing a client down" after s/he tunes in to an upsetting event.
    That's a big oversight because It has much broader uses than that.
    EFT should be used for EVERY upset whether or not the upset occurs during an EFT session.  I mean every anger ... every rejection ... every insult ... every resentment ... every trauma ... every fear ...whenever or wherever they appear.  They all need to be resolved with EFT on the spot.  This should become a Cosmic Law.
    Here are some of the benefits for doing so.
    • It would almost instantly defuse the vast majority of our upsets.
    • Domestic violence would fade.
    • Our crime rate would decline.
    • So would our automobile accident rate.
    • Our prisons would have fewer inmates.
    • Our currently overburdened courtoooms would be looking for something to do.
    • Our health expenses would drop substantially
    Does anyone doubt this?
    Making EFT a Cosmic Law may take a while because there are still some people that don't know about it.  However, we can always start with ourselves.
    Love to all, Gary
  • An Outrageous Idea - Mandatory EFT for all war veterans
    Note:  Outrageous EFT Ideas are designed to initiate thinking outside the box.  They are launching pads for innovative thinkers and, properly used, will propel our imaginations into new territory.  Please comment only on what exciting new vistas they inspire and toss any "this won't work" thoughts in the trash.
    An Outrageous Idea - Mandatory EFT for all war veterans
    Send this to your elected representatives, your local Veterans Administration and anyone else who wants to help lift the burden of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from our soldiers.  The cost of this affliction, in both dollars and disrupted lives, is immense and is clearly displayed in our headlines.
    Conventional therapies don't even dent the problem. If they did it would be fixed by now.  Instead, they tend to cover it up with drugs or employ endless "go-nowhere" sessions that are often re-traumatizing.  These things may help but, by and large, they are not doing the job and veterans are left to endure their debilitating symptoms.  By contrast, EFT often works beautifully where these efforts have failed and has brought impressive relief in a high percentage of cases.  So, let's make EFT mandatory for all war veterans. Here are some of its advantages:
    • It's easy to use.
    • It's rapid and relatively gentle.
    • It's inexpensive.
    • Nightmares and intrusive memories usually fade.
    • Physical symptoms subside.
    • No drugs or endless therapy sessions involved.
    • Properly done, it can be applied to large groups of vets at one time.
    EFT should be made mandatory for all war veterans and has certainly "earned its stripes" in this regard.  Here's why...
    • We profusely demonstrated EFT's profound uses in our hour long video "6 Days at the VA."  This was done at the Los Angeles Veterans Administration in 1994 and yet EFT still has not been adopted by the VA.
    • EFT has been scientifically verified and has appeared in several peer reviewed journals. See http://www.emofree.com/res.htm.
    • We have a new video out showing EFT with vets that displays unmistakable benefits. See http://www.emofree.com/splash/video_vets.asp
    • Tapping therapies such as EFT have been recommended for many years by The National Veterans Foundation.
    Governments like to throw endless amounts of money at problems such as PTSD in hopes that "new research will find an answer."  This is unnecessary.  The "new research" is already here and is right under the government's nose.
    It is up to us to help them see it.  So send this message to your elected officials. Send it to your local VA.  Do it repeatedly.  Send them to www.emofree.com for our free EFT Manual and tell them of your own EFT experiences.  They are busy and unaware of EFT's potential ... BUT ... if you persist and persuade, they will come around.
    Think about it. If all 400,000 of us on this EFT Insights Newsletter List did this, we could move this mountain and get EFT in the hands of our deserving vets. Are you going to help or will you be watching from the sidelines?  Our vets are depending on you. Let's take care of this NOW so our vets don't needlessly spend decades with their pains, traumas, nightmares and destroyed lives.
  • EFT, Spirituality and Prayers
    EFT contains a clear spiritual element that enhances the effectiveness of our prayers. There are, for example, countless examples on the EFT website of people performing EFT in behalf of others surrogately. This is a form of prayer (positive intention) that doesn't require the presence of the other person. As an example, here is an excerpt from an article on our website entitled "Surrogate tapping for a 2 year old with Cancer" by Julia Allen.
    "They "gave her" 1 year to live, as the type of cancer was very aggressive ... I have been tapping (at first with the help of a counselor, and later on my own -- for all kinds of things). I did not tell her parents that I intended to do this, but I did do some tapping for the little girl ... 1 week later our friend called saying they re-assessed her condition and determined she might live 3 years ... Well, about 1 week later she had another check-up and as her dad put it, "they have cleared her", she is free of all cancer, not remission, and is expected to live just as long as anyone else. Her doctors say it's incredible. A mystery. In fact the family is coming to visit us for 4th of July (which is a huge deal, as they haven't done anything in years!)"
    Please note that while not all EFT applications provide such spectacular results, we get enough such examples to motivate us to try EFT on just about everything, regardless of our ingrained beliefs about what is, or is not, possible.
    Remember this...Those who say something can't be cured are those who can't cure it.
    Love to all, Gary
