EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically). As a result, EFT is spreading quickly among the healing community. It is an emotional version of acupressure wherein certain meridian release points are gently stimulated by tapping on them with the fingertips.

EFT: The Universal Healing Tool That Modern Medicine Has Missed

For those who would like a quality introduction to EFT, here is an article that will soon appear in a new book, “101 Great Ways to Improve Your Health” by David Riklan and Dr. Joseph Cilea of Self-Growth.com.  My gratitude to CJ Puotinen for helping me write it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
New Discovery Takes Chinese Medicine to a New Level
Thousands of years ago, physicians in China mapped the body’s electrical system. They charted fourteen energy paths, or meridians, and documented how stimulating specific points along those paths released energy blocks, restored the normal flow of Chi, or healing energy, and improved health.
Acupuncture, in which very thin needles are inserted at precise locations, is one way to achieve this result. Acupressure, in which massage or pressure stimulates the same points, is another.
But until recently, no one realized that tapping on key acupuncture points while focusing on a specific problem could eliminate or significantly reduce physical, mental, or emotional symptoms.
That’s why Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is such an exciting discovery.
EFT’s underlying premise is that the true cause of every negative thought and most physical symptoms is an energy block along one or more of the body’s meridians. The combination of tapping and mental focus releases both the energy block and the problem it causes. No matter what they worry about, people of all ages, including small children, can change their minds from stressed to relaxed and improve their health and happiness, usually in less time than it takes to read this chapter.
Versatile and Widely Accepted
At first I didn’t realize how versatile EFT would become or how dramatically it transforms physical as well as emotional symptoms. Then the reports began to arrive. Whenever someone asked whether EFT works on a particular condition, such as allergies, high blood pressure, colds and flu, indigestion, arthritis, asthma, insomnia, sprains, or anything else, my answer was always the same: try it, and let me know what happens.
Soon, thousands of people with no special training were sharing their results. They had tapped and lost weight, stopped smoking, recovered in minutes from muscle sprains, chased migraine headaches away, stopped pain, and recovered from all types of illness or injury.
Many medical doctors and licensed health care practitioners have adopted EFT and use it routinely. Their patients often recover without the drugs or surgery they were scheduled to receive, or they heal faster, or chronic conditions that persisted for years suddenly improve or disappear.
Physical therapists working with athletes report that sports performance improves whenever EFT is part of the treatment. Many amateur and professional athletes use EFT to increase their stamina and coordination and to prevent injury. In fact, quite a few have used EFT to significantly improve their performance in everything from golf, baseball, bowling, soccer, or gymnastics to running a marathon.
Medicine’s Major Miss
What excites me most about EFT is its application to physical health and wellness. I’m convinced more than ever that modern medicine has walked right by a major contributor to chronic and acute diseases. Our unresolved angers, fears, and traumas show up in our physical bodies and manifest as rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and hundreds of other illnesses.
Just about everyone knows this intuitively. Whenever Los Angeles physician Eric Robins, MD, shows patients how to do EFT, he explains that past traumas can be stored in muscles and organs in the body and that releasing past events and all the emotions they generate may alleviate physical symptoms. Dr. Robins reports that most patients grasp this concept at once, and as soon as they tap away their anger, frustration, or unhappy memories, their symptoms improve.
Psychologists have always known that there are powerful connections between mind and body, but conventional talk therapy seldom cures anything, and neither do psychoactive drugs.
But balancing the body’s energy can help cure everything, and it’s as simple as tapping on your head and torso while focusing on the problem. As Dr. Robins explains, this simple procedure releases or neutralizes the illness’s underlying cause, and as soon as that happens, the illness itself disappears.
Ever since I discovered how simple and effective EFT can be, I’ve been a man on a mission. So far, 350,000 people have downloaded my free EFT manual (it gives all the basics), my free online newsletter goes to several hundred thousand subscribers, and more than thirty books have been written about EFT. To help spread the word, those who purchase my inexpensive instructional DVDs have my written permission to make one hundred copies of each disc to share with others. Thousands of EFT practitioners around the world teach classes and work with clients. These practitioners include nurses, doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, physical therapists, nutritionists, clinical psychologists, licensed social workers, and counselors of every description.
No technique or procedure works for everyone, but by all accounts, approximately 80 percent of those who try EFT for a specific problem experience significant results. That’s a stunning statistic.
In Most Cases, Try EFT First
EFT has come a long way in ten years, but it’s not even a blip on conventional medicine’s radar. When it is noticed, it’s often relegated to the “support therapy” category, something to be used later, after conventional treatments. I hope that will soon change. Unless there is a medical emergency that requires immediate attention, EFT should be the first treatment that doctors offer. This, in my observation, will dramatically reduce the need for drugs, surgery, or radiation. Even in emergencies, such as accidents or injuries, EFT can be extremely helpful, for it helps people think clearly while reducing pain and discomfort. In all situations, it speeds recovery and healing.
To satisfy my curiosity about EFT’s effectiveness in the treatment of serious diseases, over the last two years, I traveled to different cities giving three-day seminars, in which I worked onstage with actual patients. As a result, I know more than ever that EFT is a truly universal healing tool. The same basic approach that treats diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome, and multiple chemical sensitivities works as well for eyesight, muscular dystrophy, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, allergies, pulled hamstring muscles, high blood pressure, and heart disease. And when it comes to fears, phobias, and anxiety, EFT is in a class by itself.
EFT is so new that it’s still evolving. I encourage practitioners and newbies alike to experiment—to try it on everything. It’s so versatile that you can use it on yourself, others, and animals. Some have even used it on plants, cars, and computers. It makes sense that if your energy is balanced, everything inside you and everything around you benefits.
I hope that everyone who reads this will be curious enough to try EFT. It’s easy to learn, easy to do, and can literally save your life.
About the Author
EFT was introduced in 1995 by Gary Craig, a Stanford engineer in lifelong pursuit of personal well-being. He recognized at a young age that the quality of his thoughts were mirrored in the quality of his life and has been intensely interested in personal improvement ever since. He has been self-taught in this field, seeking only those procedures that, in his opinion, produced results. EFT is his latest finding, but he also has high regard for NLP, in which he is a certified master practitioner. He is an ordained minister through the Universal Church of God in southern California, which is nondenominational and embraces all religions. He is a dedicated student of A Course in Miracles and approaches his work with a decidedly spiritual perspective. However, there is no specific spiritual teaching connected to EFT or its practitioners. You can learn more at the EFT Web site: http://www.emofree.com .
Very nice write up, I copied it and put it with my manual.  If still time, might spell out what NLP is, I had to goggle it.  I am a retired psychiatric nurse and have a long time interest in acupuncture and alternative care.  I also like to make simple statements to explain what I think is going on, I see the tapping as disruptive to the meridian, the tendency is to return to a normal, healthy state after being changed.  If it does, good, it works.  If not then may be time to seek further medical examination.  Incidentially, I once took my dog to a veterinary acupuncturist, he explained the meridians are following what were folds in embryonic growth and I have used this to try to explain meridians.  I have also had lectures in embryolgy and know there are many folds in development and all seem important, but I have not seen any documentation that embryologist have studied the meridians and agree they follow the folds.  Hope this helps someone else.  Thanks for being there.
Congratulations Gary. While I have not personally experienced results like the ones described often by your practitioners, I downloaded your free material a few months ago but did not give enought time to master the basics and also tried to cover too much, too soon. I intend to be more focussed and disciplined.
I also have been a student of A Course in Miracles for some time and was delighted to see your participation. Prior to knowing this, I have felt from first becoming aware of your site and EFT that the creative energies within us all - being a function of spirit - is being channelled by removing fear, doubt, worry and guilt and replacing these with love associated with the EFT procedures. The Course in Miracles is very specific about this, for example: "Spirit is in a state of grace forever. My reality is only spirit. Therefore, I am in a state of grace forever". The Course clearly points out that fear and guilt interfere with the unrestricted flow of creative energy by misdirecting it, but the potential 'eternal grace' is always present and fully available simply by changing one's mind.
I have been conducting business meetings fortnightly for many years with business people who have joined The Leadership Forum (I launched it in 1991) in Sydney, Australia aimed at removing fear and guilt in managing with some inspiring results. I have used the first 50 daily exercises from the Course in a slightly modified form to make them more accessible to business people who generally shy away from the abstract and 'alternative thinking'. I have not introduced EFT in these sessions but there is potential to do so which I intend to explore, especially in dealing with fear driven  issues in managing people in the workplace, as well as at home - the purpose of which is to more consciously channel creative energies that will benefit everyone synergically. What do your think about this?
Thank you for your most generous and inspiring work.
I got your manual and did some tapping for my asthma and some other long held emotions. At the time I was having an asthma attack and needing my inhaler that I usually use 5+ times per day. After about 5 rounds for the asthma including the collarbone breathing, the attack ceased and I have not needed my inhaler since. AMAZING!!!!! I also realized after about 2 weeks that I was actually able to push my plate away when my stomach was content instead of splitting at the seams full. I lost 6lbs. in 2 weeks doing nothing else. I have so many other issues to deal with and I can't wait to try this on my family and animals. Thank you so much for the info you do put out for free. I can't wait to get the videos.
Much gratitude,
HI,
I'm a Registered Homeopath working in the UK. MY partner is a hypnotherapist and is formally trained in EFT. We both use EFT, I use it as a self-help technique for clients and everyone I've used it with, reports a lessening of the emotional 'issue' that was underlying their symptoms. As a Homeopath, I reply on a clients symptoms to make a prescription and when I see an opportunity to use EFT to clear a latent or buried emotional issue, I use it. I always explain that it's a freely available technique and then send the client afterwards to your website.
I can make a prescription for emotional 'issues' but what better way is there than making the help 'personal' to the client? Rather than 'here is some Ignatia for your upsetment' I can further the treatment with: 'even though my Dad left when I was 3, said he was going to work and never came back' which let onto 'even though I think my Dad must HATE me....I deeply and completely love and accept myself'.
BINGO, years of frustration, anger, behavioural problem......POOF like a puff of smoke. Gone!
What more would a client want than to be completely and deeply loved and accepted???
Well done Gary. Your technique is helping my clients. I don't care about the whys or where-fores. I like the results that I can see with my own eyes.....and so do my clients, so thank you from one small Homeopath in the UK :)
I particularly identify with the part that says:
I could never understand how talking through pain cured someone of trauma, like talking to a coincillor or therapist unless the physical side of the problem was addressed also.
When I explain to clients that we will be adressing both the physical AND mental side whatever the problem may be, they seem relieved and get very involved in the sessions of EFT, with EFT they can see a way out of their problems.
I thank God each day for EFT, and being a practitioner of this wonderful healing tool.
Thank you Gary.
EFT has given a major thrust to my life, my profession and my entire world. Formerly, I was in to hypnotherapy and it was very difficult to work with tough clients to hypnotize them, but... EFT is really simple to apply and I really get extremly fast result than I had have with hypnotherapy. EFT is really wonderful and I dont have the words to say about EFT.
Initially, when I started using and explaining EFT, it was very difficult to explain about EFt to our local semi literate and illiterate clients. Then I developed some EFT materials in our language and published my articles of EFt in local newspapers.  This article is really important for me, and I would like to translate it into our INDIAN languages such as HINDI and Gujarati etc. so our local clients can easily understand about EFT.
I am really very much thankful to Mr. Gary Craig, who permitted me to translate the EFT Manual in our INDIAN Languages. I'm still working on translations and I know my efforts will really help the INDIAN EFT community.
Thanks and Kind regards...
Just read the comments.  Thought I am too old, at 63 to start working with EFT with my clients, even though I sometimes use it on myself.  Works wonders with social phobia.  Unfortunately when I am really stressed which seems to be just around my husband, have been living seperated for the last two years, when he comes by to do somethings around the house I can't seem to do anything except feel powerless and drained of energy....so I don't tap, just drink a glass of wine.
As I read that this lady of 73 is using it, I felt uplifted and see that I could use it to assist others as well as myself and be able to financially still continue to work to take care of myself.  Have been in the corporate world teaching communication, using all sorts of techniques from color therapy, perception and awareness to energy for any sort of dis-ease as well as remembering what and who we are on this planet and why we came here.
Just got so tired of it all about 3 years ago and collapsed, without the Doctors being able to say why...blood values changed from one day to the next and I was exhausted like never before.
This work excites me as I can incorperate it in the work that I am still doing which is teaching about the Self and the Soul.  When I say teaching, I really mean assisting othes to remember.  Many people are so caught up in pain that their main focus is just that.  If EFT can be used to give them relief,  so they can find the origin, I am all for it.  Perhaps, if I purchase the videos,  I can contribute as well in sharing experiences with others.  Here in Switzerland we don't have anyone who works on Partnership issues or Emotional Abuse.  Maybe I can be the first to use EFTfor this.  Really look forward to the News Letter every week.
Thanks Gary
Gary, I have no words to express how glad I am that people like you are in this world who truly and with all their heart, work to make things/people better.
I was a strong allergy patient for 30 years. The regular symptoms like swollen/itchy eyes and nose plus strong asthma attacks during the months May until July (The most beautiful time in the year) made it impossible for me to really enjoy this time (which is a very big understatement).
My alternatives throughout those years were anti-histamins and eyedrops/-sprays wh#ich left me tired and did not really increase the quality of my life. One EFT treatment which lasted about 10 minutes tapping on: "The trees, my worst enemies!" seems to have released something I can't even comprehend in words nor emotions. 3 weeks later I am still completely symptom free even though surrounded by trees and gras fields in full blossom.
I have no words for how this feels and how this affects the quality of my life. You have given mankind a chance to finally get back on track on an emotional level. Finally there is a practical way out of past traumas and their charges.
God bless you!
Although I have successfully used EFT to handle a long list of physical problems, my greatest achievement hasd been to accept myself. I've been on the run for years, even changed my name to get away from myself (or who I percieved myslf to be), but to no avail. As I've worked my way through the EFT videos I've been able to come to terms with the situation. I've been able to forgive myself for the erroneous ideas I've clung to over the years and take a fresh look at my early life. I've turned everything around. I've discovered a rich seam of love flowing through my family. I've accepted that love and allowed it to heal me. Now I see them all in a different light.
Today I made a decision.  I'm going back, back to the country of my birth, and back to the name I was given my parents.
EFT has helped me heal six decades of pain and now I'm going back to my future.
Gary, whatever words of thanks and praise I attempt to put down in this e-mail seem so inadequate for thanking you for your loving kindness, generousity and persistent persuit in developing and refining EFT and sharing it with the world.
I was first exposed to EFT by a friend at the beginning of April of this year, I have since purchased the DVD's and of course downloaded the manual and been spending every spare moment on watching and learning - I am not employed at this time so that results in many hours each day.  I have been on a long healing journey trying to deal with past traumas that resulted in my having many physical issues, that in spite of all my "work" seemed to be getting worse instead of better - this is where the psychological reversal made such sense to me.   I am experiencing wonderful results with EFT.
I also believe I have found my niche in life and my intention is to be able to start and build my own practice using EFT.   I will be attending the Denver workshop in July and am so looking forward to meeting wonderful people (hopefully, you are one of them), gaining further knowledge, having my many questions answered and best of all - the deeper healing I will experience.
This is an excellent article and will be very helpful when explaining EFT to others.
Thank you so very much, Gary and many blessings to you.
I stumbled across EFT on the internet about four months ago and cannot tell you what an amazing journey it has lead me on.  I read the free manual then ordered and watched the first two DVD series.  Pat Carrington's free Choices manual (from her websight) has been another valuable piece of the puzzle as well as Gary's free Palace of Possibilities manual.  I use EFT daily on myself, my children, and my husband (sometimes w/out him knowing it, He! He!, but always for his benefit) with very good results.  And I'm still a newbie, so I can't wait to see what happens a year from now once I have more knowledge under my belt.  By the way, this works wonders to calm an upset baby.  It often stops my 21 month old daughter's crying in its tracks and works to help calm my four year old son so that he can fall asleep easily.  It's gotten rid of "stummy" (stomach/tummy) aches in the middle of the night and helped my son recover from the flu in just a couple of days.  It's truly magical!!  I can't say enough about this easy to learn, simple to do, free "medicine" that has no negative side effects.  It's just ALL GOOD!  Thanks a million Gary Craig and all the other people who are helping to evolve this technique.
Gary.....Everyday, you are filled with my praise and gratitude. Last week, I caught the tip of my finger, in the garage door. I screamed, pulled it out, tapped and the pain went to 3 from a 20, in less than three minutes. I hope you heard me thank you! There is only a spec of bruising.
For complicated health issues, I use EFT in combination with Dr. Michael Lincoln's
"Messages from the Body" and have successfully eliminated bladder infection, sinus infection, shoulder & hip problems and this weekend chest congestion & pain by
processing each insight that is relative to my feeling process. Combining the two,
with excellent results, has proven to me, that the origin of any physical symptom
is caused by an emotional feeling and there is definately a pattern to where these
feelings get stuck. EFT relieves both the emotions and the symptoms in a step by
step process.
Although, the book is not necessary, for success with EFT, it has been a fascinating journey in the complexity of our creations and my understanding. Your dedication
and sharing EFT has made that all possible. Thank you!
I've only recently come into EFT by way of a friend.  However, even at 50% off I can not afford your cds, not even one!  I'm disabled due to a failed 5th back surgery and live on morphine patches, going on 4-1/2 yrs (since surgery) and now have been told that same herniated disc at L2-3 is STILL herniated and worse with pinching a nerve!  Seems like this will never end.  Doctors are trying to talk me into another back surgery and I can't do it.  I'd rather live on these morphine patches and pills, then have another surgery. Plus they have found a hiatal hernia and say my intestines are messed up in some way.  They had me do a eating test at the hospital, about 2 wks ago, found out my stomach doesn't digest as fast as most peoples.  So again, they are talking surgery. Again, something I don't want.  I've had enough with surgeries in my life---23 in all and I'm only 53 yrs. old!  I don't like my life or way of living.  I just exist.  I'm depressed, crying, fighting with significant other and pushing myself to do things or end up in an arguement.  Mike doesn't believe I need to lay around or nap, that I'm capable of anything. According to him. I've told him, my life means nothing anymore, due to all the pain and how I've had to give up so many things I enjoyed in my life before that surgery.  Then last summer, I got stung by a bee and nearly died.  They rushed me to hospital and now I live with epi-pens and a GIANT FEAR of going outside due to the bees.  Summer has always been my favorite time of year, what with planting and cutting flower forinside the house, now I don't care anymore.  I feel if I could just die now, I'd be so much happier and free of all worries, pains and problems.
I've tried using EFT but don't have the UMPH to keep reading the manual. I get tired and go to bed for a nap (3 hr nap!)  I did have a doctor use this method on me when I was having problems with balance and being dizzy. Turned out I had an inner ear calcification that was disrupting my equalibirum.  Doc had me lay on opposite side of problem, with my head hanging over table, head turned to left and he tapped on my ear for about 1-2 mins.  Sat me up fast and lo and behold---it was GONE!  Then he said, if this happens again, just do what I did.  I didn't need it anymore, due to him fixing it for me.  How wonderful.
Keep up the good work for people.  You have really hit on something here.
Gary, from my initial discovery of your site, I perceived you as one of the amazing few on our planet who has given himself over to the uplift of humanity.   The selfless, love-saturated nature of your efforts has revealed your genuine motives and goals. (Thus, the spirit in me thanks the spirit in you....)
As for this this introductory article, it does a terrific job of simplifying the awesome nature of EFT.  Due to how people hear things, it is important to have multiple ways to explain how EFT works  Here, you not only offer contexts like the meridian model, but also modern psychology, medicine, and even the human wisdom which comes from noticing how life works.
Thanks, also, for acknowledging your devotion to A Course in Miracles.  I, too, am devoted to my spiritual path (as informed by The Urantia Book).  I have consequently combined EFT with the act of prayer.  This has taken my prayer life into a new dimension.  In prayer, I simply tap and talk, tap and talk (foregoing any particular form).  It is so powerful that a couple of hours in this type of prayer can pass easily.  My favorite time of day to do this is early morning, when my body is completely relaxed.
Like you, I hope the whole world can learn self-management and self-healing via EFT.  By the end of this present year (after I relocate), I hope to do my part by setting up a pastoral counseling office, where clients can learn how to combine EFT methodology with their own spirituality.  Eventually, I will write about this as well.
God bless you, Gary, as well as the effects of this transformative work.
With respect and appreciation,
Before encountering EFT I spent several mionths practicing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Resprossing with myself on an almost daily basis going back through through my long history of - what shall I say? - many, usually self-inflicted, painful events. Now here I am 76 years old feeling healthy, usually quite happy, an ex-pat American in this rather paradisacle town delighted to have at last found a simple powerful form of healing that one can do for onself and ones family and friends. This after a lifetime of searching with mixed results until now.  Gratitude for you Gary and to whatever events and forces led you to your discovery and dissemination of EFT.
P:S: Oops - forgive the omission of an important detail - now I am at times combining EFT and EMDR using both one after the other as I continue working back through painful events in the past and also with things that come up in daily life. I also delight in the openness you advocate for everyone to explore EFT and discover their own ways of using and adding to it - the metaphor of the skyscraper.
I am an EFT practitioner living in Eugene, Oregon.  The results I have experienced personally and the results I see regularly in clients continue to amaze me.  Six decades of the pain, shame and quilt over sexual abuse by an authority figure gone in one session, 23 years of grief and guilt over the death of a loved one also gone in one session, clarity regarding a decision about  remaining in  a marriage, lost voice returning in about 7 minutes, being able to set healthy boundaries for the first time in their lives, relieving the obsession around food issues, one's own healing leading to healing the relationships within the family,getting rid of IBS, resolution from the conflict of whether or not to have another child, relief from chronic depression and the inability to feel joy in ones heart, just to name a few!  My notion about all of this is that  releasing all of this stuck energy allows the emergence of the truth of who we are - more access to what we came here to do and who we came here to be and the innate joy that is our truth. It just bubbles to the surface!  I experience bone deep gratitude for being a channel for this work daily and the joy of helping make a difference in people's lives.
Dear Gary, As a line from Bach goes "Our praises flow! Eeyo eeyo to God (and you) in dulce jubilo!" I came across EFT about a year ago, and after much reading and tapping and watching your DVDs, I realized that I was "massively reversed" with all the self-sabotaging behaviors that go with it--like "walking backwards" from all the things that you really want--so personal progress has been gradual. At first, the most dramatic results were with other people. One of my favorites was the skeptical friend from New York who grudgingly let me demonstrate EFT to him while we focused on his pulled hamstring muscle. The look on his face when it started to work was priceless and in less than ten minutes, he was striding around the room trying to get the pain back, but it was gone. Another good one was someone who had a lingering pain that "felt like someone was poking a finger in his back." I thought, "that's not a finger, it's a knife" and sure enough, he had some BIG betrayal incidents with his former employer, which I did my best to apply EFT to. I am so in awe of and so grateful for the simplicity, poetry, and universality of EFT. Thank you so much for all your work and the work of all the users that share their knowledge and experience!
My name is Shoshannah Sarah from Jerusalem, and I have a highly successful Meridian Therapies practice doing EFT and TAT both locally and long distance. These are the most powerful trauma clearing techniques I have ever experienced and my clients would testify to this. I treat many terror victims with PTSD symptoms, and I have had enormous success with these protocols. Thanks to Gary Craig and all who have promoted a tool that works most of the time on mostly any issue. I often combine Dr. Sarno's TMS strategies with EFT and TAT. A most powerful combination.
I have had the manual downloaded for a long time but hadn't really read it properly or tried it out. My growing concern for my five year old grandson's stuttering made me decide to try it.
He started stuttering last spring (2006) and has been in speech therapy since last fall. This winter the stuttering was increasingly worse until by spring he was struggling mightily to force the words out, making unusual slurping noises, and had begun slapping his chest rhythmically. In two weeks I watched the severity climb to the point that it was painful to watch him. I saw the new EFT DVD and thought 'why not?' I have that manual somewhere. I read it sunday morning, and asked if I could try it on him that evening. He agreed and we only did it once. Then he ran off to play. Well, Gary, I haven't heard him stutter since! His mother (my daughter) asked me what I did to him. He went to therapy on tuesday and his therapist was amazed.  Also a little disappointed. She wanted him to stutter for the new therapist she was breaking in! I was too bashful to tell her. My husband is bragging me up to everybody but I'm giving all the credit to you Gary, for giving us this life changing gift.
I will forever thank you and bless you!
I fell in love with EFT in the spring of 2004, and like Gary always says, I try it on everything and I almost always get a 100% results. I have a small practice and I use EFT exclusively.  I find that the times when I do not get 100% are the times when I am not able to get the client to go the extra mile.  I am tapping for that too(smile).  Two years of pain on the left side of the spine from a fall and an inability to sit for any period of time was tapped away in about 10 minutes, for my sister in law. Pain went from an 8 to a zero. There are many, many more one minute wonders and some take weeks to get results, but we are successful.  Enormous  Credit  goes to Gary Craig and his elegant way of getting results, I absolutely inhaled those workshop videos.   Thank you X 1000 Gary.   Ann Marie Radix
Hi Gary,
What a lovely article,I have printed it off to use with my courses and sessions.
I use EFT exclusively as a practioner in Spain and teach EFT to clients and hold accredited courses. I feel so priveleged to be part of this vastly expanding team of therapists, professionals, lay people alike who have access to sharing the most amazing and revolutionary healing the world is witnessing. I hear it every day from course attendees and their successes to clients i have worked with, who are trying it out for themselves and family. EFT iS "jaw dropping stuff"!
Gary you have been called a "pioneer".
In the theasaurus..alternatives for  pioneer are..explorer, frontiersman, founder, developer, innovator, leader, trailblazer,discoverer, initiater, instigater, inventor, groundworker, show the way, take the lead.These words all describe what you are doing for EFT, and the world.
The last one" founding father", is the way i  like to think of you Gary.
I try to follow in your footsteps by passing on EFT to everyone  and more recently opened up one of my "Palace of Possibilities" doors that had been shut for some reason,(even though i speak Spanish), and teach EFT in Spanish now.
And so it continues..ad infinitum.
Warmest wishes and love to all,
I have had some cases where EFT has had no effect - and I find that these are generally people who come to the session with an agenda that they don't want to give up whatever their problem or symptom is - they think they have too much to lose by doing so.  In about 95% of the people I use EFT on, they do experience great relief, and some seem almost miraculous!  I've had people change their entire lifestyle after one session that cleared up a block that kept them 'stuck' in a negative place in life.  What a blessing this method is, and what a HUGE blessing to the world you are, Gary Craig.  It has changed my life so much as both a client and a practitioner.  Thank you, thank you!
Here in England EFT has been on the TV, on the radio and in the national newspapers.  Ordinary people have heard about it and are open to using it and learning.  In my view Gary has done an extraordinary job in spreading EFT to the world at a grass roots level.  As more and more people tell their doctor's "oh no, I don't have panic attacks any more I used EFT" the more the medical profession will have to take notice.  Already I am finding an increasing number of medical and health professionals signing up for my EFT training courses.  Momentum is gathering.  What has been achieved in the last ten years will pale beside what will be achieved in the next ten.  Already there are many, many people who can thank Gary Craig for a good night's sleep and there will be so many, many more.
Ha!  I just knew you were an ACIM student. I was watching one of your videos (Palace of Possibilities series) and heard you say "I could have peace instead of this" while tapping on someone.  I thought to myself... I bet he's an ACIM student. And this was just confirmed when I read your bio here.
I've also heard you say that Forgiveness is the ultimate purpose of this tool, and I agree with you wholeheartedly. What better way to recognize that there is no guilt, when we could be free from pain so quickly and easily?  Forgiveness... there is no end to the possibilities here... (I just posted an idea about using Group Surrogate EFT to address global issues such as wars, leaders, planet Earth & global warming, etc.... this is akin to group prayer... channeling a foculized intention to a particular issue)
Are you familiar with Eckart Tolle and the Power of Now?  He teaches about inner peace, silence, and being present in the moment.  EFT has been extremely helpful to me in letting go of the blocks to being present.
With love and appreciation for everything you've done to help bring EFT to the general public and to make it so readily available and easy to learn... thank you!
The above resumé on the wonder of EFT is excellent, thank you! I was bowled over by discovering EFT and immediately trained and have worked with dozens of cases, learning all the time : above all, it's wonderful to be able to offer each person a Positive Tool to relieve suffering Whatever the context ! It's a dream come true for me -like so many children,I felt powerless to bring a smile to a deeply unsatisfied mother, and thus responsible for her unhappiness !!
   I'd like to respond  to a question raised in  "Rhonda and Essential Tremors" about the nature of hereditary ailments and genes. dr Bruce Lipton's Biology of Belief settled that satisfactorily for me by demonstrating that all Genetic imprints are caused by powerful Emotional experiences. Thus genes and emotional heredity and cellular memory are all the same in effect. Therapetic approaches that attract the appropriate quality of energy right into the neuronal paths and DNA links release the (karmic) knots and free up the whole flow of energy within and without the physical and subtle body.
    The corollary that dr Lipton concludes with, is that it is our responsibility as aware human beings to imprint maximum positive quality energy  into our own self before we launch into begetting children - who will inherit all of it and benefit from such a headstart in transforming the perspective for all of their generation !
yes ,EFT is doing so much to bring about deep change. Bless You, Gary and everyone !
Gary, Thank You and all others who have been instrumental in bringing the gift of EFT to everyone who will give it a try.
In June 2003 I had carpel tunel surgery.  Inflamation formed in my wrist about a week after the surgery so my surgion prescribed bectra for the pain.  a few days into the medicine i wound up in the ER with diverticulosis ( very very painful).  I was on my way to visit my Mom so the ER Dr. gave me a prescription for Flagul.
When I would take the flagul; imediatly my head felt like someone hit me in the head with a ball bat and I would feel like I was going to projectile throw up.  needless to say it was bad.  I had to go back to ER for intravienous med.'s.  The next day, when I had to take the flagul agail my Sister who had just gotten introduced to EFT suggested I try tapping.  I did, " even thought the flaguel makes me sick as a dog I completely accept myself."  Tapping worked.  I tapped everytime I took the flaguel and it didn't make me sick again.
 I was supposed to have surgery on the other wrist but instead Tapped with great results. "No surgery".
 My Sister gave me copies of her CD'S and I have been using EFT ever since.  When I slipped on ice and road my shin down my front steps and was just sure from the pain and twistedness of my leg that it was broken I tapped on the pain and possible break in my leg.  ER  X-rays came back No broken bones.
  I've tapped for seveer pain; in back , chest, shoulder, knees; and always had reduction in pain and when I stayed with it and tapped long enough the pain left completely.
  In the past few years and most resent months I have had various books, tapes, etc. come into my path and posession.  All had been informative about mind/body
alternative's.  i believe they were dirrected to me by our Creator to show a better way for mankind to be helped.  I see so many hurting people that can be helped by EFT; I just want to get as proficient at it til I can help people like you and other EFT masters do.
 Thanks again and many HUGS to you,
I have been financially drowning, mtg late, bills late,, etc
I recently started working a restaurant but my hrs were cut drastically;as I do marketing and the restaurant has been slow lateley.
The other day I had an asma attack at work, I couldn't breath and kept coughing. I was so nervous that I was going to get fired. I have no health insurance. Today I started feeling really bad all over, I am completely stressed out. My stomach aches and I keep running to the bathroom. I am so out of control and stressed out all the time as I have to work and pay all that I owe.
I have never been like this, I was always happy and cheerful-- How could I let circumstances like this ruin my life....I am NOT happy and feel sooo drained. I am an emotional wreck and pp are seeing this and taking advantage of the situation by treating me really  bad and picking on me.
On yesterday's news, they talked about a new experimental treatment for severe chronic depression.  It involved implanting electrodes to stimulate portions of the brain.  The doctors explained that the body functions on electrical impulses which affect moods as well as physical responses.  EFT does all this without surgery!  Although I'm a newbie, I have used EFT for emotional and physical issues with great success.  Now I am using EFT for improved performance and achieving goals.  I have passed this on to many of my friends and co-workers, some of whom also report success. I am currently viewing your complete set of DVD's and hope to become certified in the future.  Can't imagine my day without EFT!  Be good to yourselves and give it a try!   - Brandy
I met Gary Craig for the first time in person at the 2008 ACEP 10th international Conference at Albuquerque, New Mexico and participated in his surrogate healing workshop at the University of New Mexico on the 19th of May, 2008. At that workshop, we treated people in absentia and later got confirmation that they experienced improvements in their conditions. It may not have been 100% remission but the shifts recorded were milestones. In fact one of the healees wrote me several weeks after to confirm that things have not been the same since after the surrogate healing on her. She has had many things going great for her now.
For me it was a dream come true meeting Gary. As the first Nigerian EFT Practitioner based in Nigeria, having to travel to the USA for among other things to meet with Gary underscores the importance and great height EFT has achieved in environments far remote from its home country the USA. It was for me a significant  milestone. This is because EFT has become so universal that its creator or founder has also taken the stature of an international personage and I am glad I met with such a personality and had a photograph with him. Gary, thank you.
well, when we read fairy- stories to kids, they are“ false” - they are/ kids/. Now, I have to wonder where the parents (if alive) drop out; society comes in; and the world matters?
