What do I think!

I think that we are finally, finally, finally were we're supposed to be. This story is beautiful. Thank you Gary for EFT, and thank you to all involved in spreading the word about Energy Psychology and performing it on "Everything". Hurra!

I think this sounds so interesting....does it make a difference if the child is angry..not sick.  I have a child with some real anger and loss issues...but it is difficult to get her to tap anything as I am just learning myself.   What do you think?

What a wonderful story, and to know that it really happened gives me even more confidence in my 5-day-a-week healing work for others.  Thank you!

really don't know what to say...all i know is , EFT is amazing and is a life saviour. IT JUST WORKS,the best thing is , keep on with it, do not ask too many questions.

To Linda: Keep tapping, guess at the wording for your child.  Tap, tap, tap.  Whenever you think about your child, tap, be it positive or negative phrasing, tap.  It works like prayer, you do not need to know the specifics.  Miracles happen with EFT.

Thank you yet again Gary for your willingness to extend and share all of your experiences that serve to open us to our possibilities. I have been using EFT in "my prayers" to help clear the way for the Love, Peace, Poise and Power that is inherent in us. EFT has been such a blessing in my life and the lives of all whom I've shared it with (some who have not even known); ever since I dis-covered you and your website seven years ago. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Could you give me a little detail as to how long you tapped each day and what wording you used?  That would be helpful. Thank you so much.

surrogat tappng is a great idea. as a newcommr to EFT,,i need to kno ths bettr cus i hav two problms,,(please dn't thnk i'm weird),,but my frst problm is my son "CHARLIE" (19yrs),,he has a serious drug problm and refuses to com and liv wth me so i can help him.."i love him so much"....th othr problm is one of my dogs "FRANCISCO" or CISCO,,,he has a serious infection in his hind leg jus above his paw,,its been ther for a cuple yrs. th costs of a Veterinarian ar way out of reach as i'm unwaged. peopl keep tellng me jus to put him down cus he's 12yrs old,,but i made him a promis,,,wen its tim to go,,he can do it on his own terms..if anybody has an ideas it wud be greatly and seriously appreciated...thnx,,,chris.  

I think the story of surrogate tapping is great.  I also believe its totally true.  I'm just happy that you finally are comfortable enough to start acknowledging what you've known all along.  That sprituality and tapping go hand in hand.  Ultimately, once you get to the point of Personal Peace, what else is there, but spirituality?  So, thank you for finally getting the discussion to this point.  I strongly believe you're entire method is a spiritual adventure meant to help us cleanse ourselves and eventually remember who we are.

That's pretty profound:   "Remember this...Those who say something can't be cured are those who can't cure it."
As all of us who have survived life to a conscious adulthood aware of the choices before us as to the life that is to be had versus the life of beliefs given us in the beginning when there were no choices (whew - sorry for the run-on!), we must actively embrace that consciousness to an even deeper level.   We do - all of us -  have the power to decide and enact any change we desire.  It is the deep intangible "knowing" inside of us (spirit) that allows us to dare to and then actually believe in something different when others' "truths" just don't fit.   Believing in something does make it come true:  not a fairy tale, not a myth, but a custom-made better-fitting truth which may take the form of a cure or an awareness or gratitude or everything . . .  
Another huge Thank You to Gary.  And a thank you to everyone here for the continuing motivation and believing in the belief.

I would like to know more about tapping for others; particularly the wording one uses.  
My 27 yo daughter has found her calling and is back in college following her dream.  She has struggled for years with depression, anger and obesity.  Finding her calling has boosted her self-esteem immensely and I would love to tap for her around supporting her continued growth and healing on other issues.  I have mentioned EFT to her and she showed interest but often feels overwhelmed with school and feels she has no time for other things.  I am just beginning this process myself and have personally experienced huge shifts and openings in my life.  Thank you.

  It is very hypnotic.  As well as I sing the elvis song with some changes:  "Peace is my companion, forgiveness is my friend, health is my example and my talks are in demand : )! and that all right, yes it's all right : )! I'm all right mama : )! and I give thanks to you : )!

You mother is awesome in my mind she is a light : )! and oh you know you are your mother's son : )! And I do agree that she is the worlds greatest psychologist : )! and you are an example of health and peace and forgiveness and while you likely have hugh ego with all your adoring students adoring you : )!  I experience you to be quite free of egoic needs. That was the reason I chose to study with you.  "Healing is done through us not by us : )!"  

Soooooo my comment on surrogate tapping is that the practice sounds like a naturally good state of being. one that would draw all goodness to all through love and understanding of our essential oneness.  

I have as a habit made it so that I bless everyone I pass most of the time. I have failed a few times to do this over the years but as a general rule I am going from place to place blessing everyone as I wish to be blessed.  Of course my path is smooth and sweet : )! This is a constant prayer state and while I am not perfect yet : )! in my life time of working on my constant desire to heal and be healed.  I do keep on keeping on and things keep getting better and better : )!! I pray for healing for everyone I see and even those I do not see, a constant feeling of our healing all as one and so it goes. I have never asked permission to do any of this in my mind : )! there is not enough time do this and pray at the same time: )! It starts to become as natural as breathing.

The gwp is a community resource center (a one house school of self empowerment) for teaching learning and practicing the arts of communication. EFT is the main focus of healing but other disciplines are offered as well such as  NLP and some other related (cousins) healing practices.

PS I hope you will excuse my conjecture about the state of your ego : )! I have never meet someone who has such freedom from egoic illusions that you appear to have.  "All healing is done through us not by us : )!"  I use eft for everything, all the time, everyplace I find myself.  I have tapped on total strangers and on friends and recently gave my first public session. I find eft  especially useful in my studies as I use it to tap the information home. I use it in my meditations and in my daily affairs. Profound knowledge is so simple : )!  "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the bodies energy system."  tap tap tap : )!  

I find EFT and incredibly powerful technique and I am devoting my life to sharing this wonderful tool.

I have found that there is something deeper than the tapping and that is a Knowingness.  I find that if I see the person as Whole and Complete and the person REALLY gets it--then there can be INSTANT healing.

So, if we have a strong spiritual Knowing and the patient/client gets it--ZAP--their engery field can instantly be revitalized. I tap with most people, however, to read about someone that I worked with who was ZAPPED and healed instantly of a fear of putting his face in the water that he had for over 50 years please read Recognizing Who We Are at www.wayhealthy1.blogspot.com.

Knowing that I Am Divine, and knowing that each person that I see is Divine--that We All Are Divine--seeing this and reminding my clients--after doing EFT (blasting their old stories away) is fun and rewarding.

And yes, these beliefs are necessary to do EFT.

Thank you all for your inspiration.  I have an  MS label and I am using a combination of Journey work from Brandon Bays and EFT to get me through my fears and past.  I so much would like to get better to prove that healing is possible and to show these guys who so freely tell you that it's incurable!!!

I am teaching an Introduction to EFT to College students and Community folks tomorrow!  Here in Alberta VA Religion has a lot of sway,,,,,,,,,,I am having a local person Bridge the Religion gap for me.  She does a wonderfull job and I am printing this for her to consider!

I was taught by my religion that it's an invasion of privacy to pray for healing for someone without his consent.  Without that consent, one could pray impersonally.   Theory was that, if one accepted sickness for others, one would open himself to the possibility of sickness for himself.  So, instead of praying for this 2-year-old to be healed of cancer, one would pray to know that God created and maintained her in perfection; however, that perfection was said to be spiritual, never physical.

It seems to me that, while the physical may be a "dream" and  not be our "real self", there's nothing  wrong with using a tool of the dream - in this case, EFT - to create healing in the dream.  When we reach an understanding of our spiritual reality, we won't need that magical  tool anymore; but, then, we won't need the physical  either.











 

Would anyone help me to understand the differences or similarities between EFT and EDMR? I wanted to learn EMDR but found I had to become 'licensed' to do so and practice it. I am just learning about EFT.

All That Is G-d's  love, light, truth, peace,  beauty, wisdom and glory is flowing through each of us! All That Is love and life flows though our entire being, every fiber, every cell and every thought. It flows through each of us revealing : )! our perfection! : )! As we envision for ourselves so we envision all others : )!
I have chosen a sweet dream. I have chosen one in which blessings are always welcome and there is no need to ask permission to bless or heal. In the twinkling of an eye : )! the healing is twice blessed. A miracle made manifest and what is given is received and wholeness is the sacred moment of our allowing all good to come to all of us. When G-d  reaches out through the heart, mind, and spirit of one of us to another, this is spiritual healing, this is the miracle.
I think all the rest is commentary : )! We are all spirits in these bio-electric body suits and health is the normal state of being when G-d's energy is allowed to flow smoothly. We are learning at last to choose our thoughts most carefully. My intuition has G-d saying to each of us: "I have placed before you life and death. Choose life! Choose blessings, choose abundance, choose forgiveness, choose to allow life to flow through your entire being revealing your perfection : )!! and choose to see all others as you see yourself. Bless and forgive yourself and all others without ceasing until everyone one has found personal peace. We change the world one person at at time and the only person we can ever change is ourself.  tap tap tap : )! even though ... :  )!!!!!  
  To paraphrase the Dalai lama "Look at man as compared to all the other animals, our hands were made for loving and study, our minds and spirits were made to have no limits."  Bless and celebrate  the dust that houses our spirits, the dust we call our bodies and  in which we  practice to  be  conduits of  healing for ourselves and all others. These bodies have blessed and benefited each of us beyond measure. When it comes time we will lay these bodies down as we embrace new understandings.  All things pass away, they are subject to change. Only spirit is eternal. I feel when I tap I am allowing my inner spirit to flow more fully.  Energy is experienced  bio-electrically and metaphysically. EFT is a spiritual practice for me. I feel deep healing  is  profoundly  sacred. Surrogate tapping is to be at one with another as one with G-d and in G-d and envisioning an end to any suffering at that moment by accepting and allowing that wholeness and health are our natural state. This  seems to be right action to me. The vision is for joy, peace and comfort  abounding in all our  lives.  How can it be desirable for any to suffer? Choose life, choose joy, choose forgiveness, choose peace and keep on keeping on.
  I think it is good for those who desire to be conduits of healing to be broadcasting healing, forgiveness and oneness at all times. It can not hurt it can only help : )! EFT is a great way to live a life changing spiritual practice that blesses all.

I like EFT and use it often.  I thought that EFT was a discovery of a largely mechanized way, through tapping certain acupuncture points, of dealing with pain and emotions.  I thought EFT works through the body's electrical system and you make the electrical system "correct" whatever you focus on through your words.

Now is everyone (almost) saying that EFT works because of some "spiritual" aspect behind it?  I knew that EFT had New Age adherents due to the appearance that EFT "brings out the power/potential that is within you" but I believed that at the core, EFT was NOT spiritual but a medically provable protocol of treatment via the body's electrical system.  I thought EFT was God-given to benefit everyone, whether Christian or not.

If EFT actually works through "spiritual" means, not mechanical, then that poses a problem for me.  If this "spirit" is not of Jesus Christ, then it can only mean it is that of the "Angel of Light", Satan.  The Holy Bible never teaches that there are "neutral" spirits.  You either serve God or Mammon.

So is EFT a spiritual (Satanic) ritual or a mechanized (God-given) protocol?

Oh my I did not expect this. Dear Timothy Bell, There is nothing dark in "All That Will Prove to Be the One" whom you feel is responsible for the  mechanized ("God-given") protocol. Science is not in conflict with EFT or the more "spiritual" aspects of its healing power.  Please relax and seek the calm place within where you find oneness with all that is G-d in you and in others.  We are all one!  This is basic to understanding how one can tap on ones self and stimulate healing in another. I am sure you do not understand the word spirit or spiritual in the same sense with which I use it. I do not feel any limits on EFT especially as it is a universal healing practice that does not  require "belief"  to effect healing.  I think you misunderstand what some of us are trying to express.  Sincerely, yn : )!

You have a choice as to how you feel and we all know now that our consistent thoughts become our reality and you know through your personal practice what you have achieved through EFT. This means you have the resources to answer your own question: in the name of whose spirit is your intention?

Last year I was privileged and blessed to be invited to Bosnia to do some voluntary work with war and concentration camp victims.  During my time there I was invited to attend an EFT workshop and was amazed as I watched some truly amazing miracles unfolded in front of me.  Had people told me these stories I would never have believed them!  The trainer, Lilian Poultney, invited me to join in the training, which I did and completed the UK exams in December.  Since then I've helped several people address and tap away issues that have tainted, or haunted, their lives with some really encouraging results – and I'm only a beginner!  One of the people I worked with, a professional counsellor working for local authorities, was so impressed with the 'instant' results she experienced, (on her own issues she'd been working on for many years), that she went on an EFT course herself last week!

The thing I really like about EFT is that it provides self-healing for the client, as EFT healing is experienced through the EFT therapist and not performed BY them.  The illustration and gift EFT provides to an individual, which teaches them how to heal themselves, is a powerful tool indeed and healing in itself, in terms of self-belief and self-respect.  

So I would like to thank the Universe for guiding me to Bosnia and EFT; to Gary for developing such a powerful tool and to Lilian for her warmth, patience and generosity in giving up so much of her time (and ultimately other important factors in her life too) to take the gift of EFT to those who so badly needed it and for inviting me to partake in its healing qualities too.

Hi all I am new to the blog site but I have been using eft for a year now. BasicallyiI suffer from athritus down the right hand side of my body, i use eft to control chronic pain and fustration at my predicament but have also found it bringing me closer to God. I do a lot of surrogate tapping for those I know, and have seen some miraculous results with eft yet I struggle to believe I can cure myself am I aiming to high? Logic tells me yes but hope tells me no!  

Any suggestions?

  Have you considered that a mechanical or medical protocol can also be provided to us from God, whether it be through our friend Gary or through any other source? If that is so, then is it not from a spiritual basis, since Creator is the source of all energy? We need not be critical of the procedure or its mechanics, only make full use of its benefits since we know how effective it can be, when used properly.

  Our goal should only be to promote Love with intention, when dealing with others and how can that be from any other source than from Creator?

  By the way, as I remember from Sunday School as a child, satan was the angel of darkness and Christ was the Light of the world.

When my children were growing up, I always told them that when handling the cares and concerns about their friends and pets that they should visualize them wrapped in blazing white light.  My little saying was "If it's not right-it needs Light!" This was the way that I tried to teach them to love a problem away.  Now we combine this with EFT for totally awsome results.  To me, there is nothing in this universe that does not need love as it is as important as air, water, sunshine and this beautiful earth we all depend on for our very lives.  The choice to send it out is mine.  If you know of anyone that would deny their fellow beings their right to that which allows them to exist then that one needs LIght!  God bless all who love their fellows enough to give them their time and effort to help them.  Thank you Gary for loving us all enough to give us this tool!!!!!

I work as a registered nurse on a medical/surgical floor.  Due to the strict confidentiality policies, I don't feel that I can talk out my frustrations , fears, concerns regarding the client's I work with.  Even if I don't use names, just talking about a person's situation can give their identiy away if you work in a smaller community.  Using co-workers for support seems logical, but what can you do when they are as burdened as you are?

"Surrogate tapping" sounds like a way to address those issues.  Also dealing with others' issues manages to bring up related subjects in your own life to 'tap on'.  

I empathize with what Tim wrote above for my own personal reasons, can see where he's coming from.

just a note:  we'll all eventually figure a way....just keep breathing and live gently.  Live 'n let live goes for those from all points of view

 The things that have given me much spiritual insight are.  EFT,  Ultra-mind system, and a number of reference books , for me, seem to all work together to bring a better understanding of what is being talked about in the scriptures, after all, the vocabulary of people in biblical times seem to have had a limited vocabulary for expressing themselves and translating to convey what their thoughts and understanding were to us this far into the future, and  vice versa.  Many portions of the scriptures are hard to understand and in some cases fragmented to that somewhat becomes like a puzzle, etc.
   I volunteered at a Christian base healing room to heal and learn of which I had some success in both areas.  When I learned about EFT,  I Inc. the program into  my approach to healing and it worked pretty well, that is until the leaders of the rooms got upset and told me not to lay hands on anyone which basically restricting my healing presentation , in other words I got fired.  I was told that this was New Age, as you guessed I did alot of tapping.   I also learned other systems to which brought me more understanding  about the scriptures. It says knock and  it shall be opened and many things are opening for me and I feel very blessed and grateful for all I have learned and how to reprogram myself with meditation. I am a middle-aged man and I always will be middle-aged, now 80.
   Speaking of light you may like looking at these references ( Mt.5:13-16; Eph.4:17-18; Jn.1:3-5; 1Jn.1:5-7 ), healing from a distance try ( Luk.7:1-9 ).
   I also enjoyed, Patrick Carrington's, three-part EFT storehouse of positive memories, gratitude and forgiveness.  This article was very helpful in the above incident along with other articles printed in the news letters have been helpful as well.

I believe in miracles.  When Jesus healed anyone there was something they were required to do.   One had to bring pitchers of water, one to pick up his bed and walk.  Another had to wash in the river and the list goes on.  I was healed of pancreatic cancer in 1994 and I had to look at myself and become willing to accept my part and forgive the people who had hurt me.  I never knew when the healing took place but was later told the cancer was gone.  I had been given no more than one year to live.  Jesus healed me of a couple other illnesses from 1994 until Nov. 2006, including small cell cancer of the lungs and malignant cancer in my lymph nodes in the neck.  I again had a couple things to do.  These things included how to ask for help, to let others help, i.e., to be bathed, dressed, etc. by my husband, sisters and others.  It was not easy.  But I am on the other side of that now.  My brother introduced me to EFT and I habve begun to use that in other areas of my life.  I don't know if this is from Jesus Christ, but I pray it is because I want only to do as he would have me do.

I've been trying to study eft lately and I found it very warmly welcome news...

Now this surrogate thing really put me down.. If this really works like this, what is the use for prayer anymore? We never need to pray for God's help anymore, since we know we can do all this by ourselves. If there's a problem in our lives we just lean on to Eft and all is well and we are smiling little creatures.

Who needs Jesus anymore? He said to pray for others, not to tap and stuff like that? Why? Is praying basically the same thought-driving-procedure as eft? This really hurts my view and beliefs on God - just starting to think that all is just a big energy -bulls***.

I tried eft on myself for a minor concern on "3rd world war-fear" and I felt that something was actually blocking my head. I couldn't think the way I used to, like someone stole something from me. I didn't feel happy. I felt more like raped.

Why?

--this is not to provoke negativity on eft, I would love to use this on so many suffering people I know, but do you really really know this is from God? That this is gift from above? Or are we just like the woman who had the "gift" of foreseeing things - who followed Jesus screaming - and then Jesus said "Leave her!" and she didn't have that power anymore..

Who can tell me that this is truly from God and not "a soul power"?

When one prayers the answers do come if we know how to "shut up" and listen carefully. I have found in my life they usually come thru the mouths of other people !

EFT, has become the answer to many questions that we have been asking for. May we be able to keep sharing this answer along to those who still find themselves unanswered and confounded with questions.

Since learning EFT I have thought a lot about its place in the life of a Christian.  I think that all of these things have been given to us by God for us to use to help both ourselves and others.  I find that if I tap when I pray it seems to heighten and emphasise what I want to say in my prayers.  I don't think that EFT has taken the place of prayer - its all energy anyway, and that comes from God the great creator of the universe. We are only giving back to God what is His.

EFT has also been positioned in a prominent position in my life. It's capablities have questioned some of my traditionally held Christian beliefs. However, it is a tool. EFT, along with other energy-based therapies, have helped clear the way for me to be more whole and self-actualized and express myself more fully as the Creator, God, perfectly willed me to be. Therefore, thinking of EFT as a tool, rather than a philosophy, belief system, religion, etc. is not necessary. I mean, remember, you do not even have to believe in it to work for it to work. Therefore christians, and those who believe in God, if anybody, should utilize EFT and other energy tools to help free themselves from strongholds and the past. In the Bible, Christ/God tells us to "lay aside every weight that so easily besets" us. This sounds like something that we have to do. Does that mean that He indeed gave us power over, at least, this responsibility-for us to handle it? Wow! And He has given us the tools to take care of this responsibility. Nevermind that it has not come from your pulpit or religious authority figure. I think the key here is, it is a tool.

The nerve of you thinking you can heal others. Or thinking that eft heightens your prayers. Like God needs a little extra nudge or something. If you are full of Christ there is not room for anything else. There is no need for it. Have faith in Christ Jesus. it's just that simple.

I came across EFT after watching a show called "I Can Make You Thin". I was watching this show because I am a two year gastric bypass post-op who is fighting her old eating habits and trying to stay at my goal weight. Being that I'm a massage therapist, and one that whole heartedly believes in Christ, I have been wondering if there is any non-meridian information regarding EFT. Could this be at all associated with our enodcrine, nervous and lymphatic systems which would render it more a tool (such as stretching or exercising) rather than a spiritual thing. Since our "spirit" resides in our body but is constantly at war with our flesh (Romans 8:5-11) I can see how where our mind and heart is focused on during EFT would make a huge difference. Christ calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind (Romans 12:2) on the very word of God. And to cast down any thought that exalts itself against His holiness, glory and ultimate authority (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Though our bodies are affected by a tool such as EFT, can we still focus our minds on God and His word or will this very tool cause our minds to focus on the flesh and not the spirit? I know that I myself have a very hard time doing the affirmations while tapping. My mind will have a hard time focusing on God and His truth. But when I couple the tapping with praying of prayer or the Psalms - what a difference. But then again am I producing a physical mood in my flesh by tapping and therefore cutting off the spirit as we cannot focus on both?

Yes, Satan is a great deceiver and an angel of light. We might be careful of what we do and make sure it ALL we do bares witness to the Truth (Jesus Christ) and not be tainted with the lies (anything outside of the Truth).

I'd love other Christians to share their thoughts. New Age beliefs are basically God's spiritual truths stripped of God's authority (and glory) and are only a small spec of a picture the size of the universe. Why look to a rock when the rock in its very essence is praising the Creator. Isn't that just worshipping worship?
